Very good and convenient location. We got the Thai cottage right in front of the beach and in the middle. It was beautiful and clean. Lovely buffet breakfast. Friendly staff.

The live music was extremely loud right in front of the cottage and went in until 2230 every night. We couldn’t get much sleep because of that. It would be better if they finished by 2130. In fact, the singer wasn’t very good either. The cottage was beautiful however the wooden floor is very slippery, perhaps cleaning wax. The carpet at the door is very light and doesn’t have any grip on the floor which you could easily slip and fall down. My husband and I almost did!

The location and beach was great. Live fireshow every night. Spectacular on the beach.

The hotel was under construction and woke us up early in the morning with drilling and noices. The hotel suites young people because the rooms are made of entry and bathroom. Then you need to go stairs to get to the bedroom upstairs. So if you needed to go pee at night you needed to go up/down stairs. We allso had no balcony and looked into a brick wall from our room. Not many guests when we were there. The breakfast a bit disappointing. No bacon and the eggs were cold.

The cottages were very clean, beds were comfy and it is right on the beach. You get a beach towel and beach bag which is very convenient. It is close to 7-11 and the main street, yet a bit secluded from any neighbours so it is quite at night. We had a great stay and enjoyed it a lot.

You only get one card for the cottage and we kept forgetting it inside having to ask for someone to open all the time, also we went to bed at different times which makes it inconvenient with only one card. Our fault, but I don’t see why we cannot pay an extra deposit for a second card

We liked the fabulous location right on the beach! The green and lush gardens. Staff was very helpful. We had booked a doublebed room and were allocated a twin bedroom. When we asked about it they made a big effort to put the beds together in a doublebed way (the hotel was fully booked so there was no other room available). We had a really nice time at GrandView and would stay here again

We did not like (at all) the loud Boom-box music all day long on the beach. We used ear-plugs to spend any time in the beach part of the hotel. Another thing that really was a negative for us was the lack of table, desk or other "depositing" surface in the room. Initially there was only the bed and small bedside tables, and nothing else. We asked for a table and again the hotel was very helpful and brought a garden-type wicker table and chair to the room.

An amazing location, the Hotel was clean and staff very welcoming - willing to assist us with anything we needed or asked about. The breakfast was exceptional - The beach location was amazing and the evening fireshow was breathtaking. The island relies on potable water being literally shipped in, so be prepared for low pressure showers that save water.

There was no safe in our room on our arrival - we requested one and it was quickly brought up to the room - and just placed in the cupboard - not secured. We thought that was rather ironic and made us laugh a little bit.

I have been to Grandview a few times and always had great service from all the friendly staff.

I chose the executive room this time but only the non-seaview was available. Compared to my previous room, this had shower and toilet by the entrance, bedroom and living room were upstairs, so was a little inconvenient. I much prefer the other executive room (which i had before) with seaview where everything was on one floor.

Super beautiful resort right on the beach with everything you need. The reception staff are stunning and always going out of their way for you. Really really good job! We extended our stay and they made sure we had a good transition even having to change a room a couple times. Thank you!

The staff at the beach bar/restaurant could be a bit more attentive. Never really seemed to bother too much and the service took time always. Prices are in the higher end compared to rest of the hotels on the beach.

Location is the best. Sai Kaew beach is the best in the island. The roti stand right when you step on the beach is our favourite. The hotel grounds was kept very clean and staff were helpful.

The family room we got was very comfy but very dated. Some upgrading would be recommended. Some of the wood frames were chipped and stains on the floor that won’t come off. Just a lot of wear and tear.

Beach location

The beach was a little bit dirty with plastic, we actually saw tourists picking up the plastic bags and bottles from the beach. The resort needs to stop the pollution by putting some garbage bins near to the beach, to help stop pollution and maybe employ someone to clean the beach and around the edge of the ocean. It’s not the job of tourists to walk the length of the beach with garbage bags collecting plastic bags, cups and bottles.

Staffs are very nice and cheerful, polite and respectful.

The rooms we stayed were deluxe which we never ever know before that they had bathroom separately with bedroom and have stairs the way from bathroom down stairs to bedroom upstairs which much inconvenient and uncomfortable for old people. Moreover, my son got stuck in the bathroom and unable to unlock from outside.This kind of bathroom door is not safe if you have young children with you 😔
