EXCELLENT value for money. Everything you would require for a budget friendly stay. Quiet location. Pool area was perfect after a long, hot sightseeing day. Breakfast was satisfying. Fresh fruit and a variety of cooked options each morning. Cereal and juices too. Complimentary tea/ coffee and often bananas all day. Close to a 7/11 store to buy water and other necessities. Another plus was 'The Family' Restaurant almost right outside the entrance to Lamphu Tree House Boutique, which offered great food and value for money, with lovely friendly staff. A very short walk along the canal and up some steps or along a ramp got you to a main road from which we caught booked GRAB taxis. Would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again!

Very impressed. Great value for money. Small clean room with adequate facilities and a small balcony. Walking distance to khao San road and temples and friendly staff. They organised for us to check in slightly early and it was no problem. The restaurant was really yummy for dinner and super affordable. Pool was good. Hot tip: when you get picked up by a taxi or grab put in Kitty Cafe on Saphan Wan Chat road and just walk around the corner. The exact address confuses some and puts you on the other side of the river.

Bed was firm but honestly comfortable.

Arriving at night ,I found Lamphu Treehouse just after the Wan Chat bridge on the left, down some stairs to a lovely canal setting and a couple of local restaurants. The location is about 10 minute walk from Khao San road area. To get there,I turned right after leaving LamphuT.H. and after going past 2 or 3 canal bridges,turn left and follow to khao san/soi rambuttri. The rooms were lovely and clean,with crisp clean sheets on the bed, good mattress and outside sliding doors, a small balcony. The complimentary tea or coffee and a banana in the morning was a nice touch. It's a beautiful boutique Thai style teak building with an outside garden setting with a pool. I enjoyed my stay there and would hope one day to stay at Lamphu treehouse,again.

It is really hard to find fault with my stay there.I didn't try the breakfast ,so can't really comment.

stayed here for 10days and coming back in couple months! Great location but still quiet, chilled vibe, loads of communal areas with comfy bean bags, tables & chairs by the pool, little complementary every morning, comfy bed, spacious room with a balcony which allowed us smoking, clean enough, everything in the room worked great, wifi works very well everywhere!

Beautiful hotel in a quiet but still central location right at the canal. Staff was super friendly and helpful at any times! Also very close to great restaurants (e.g. “The Family” right next door), 7-Eleven, ATM, bars, etc. The pool was also very nice and refreshing! Our room was clean and comfortable as well.

Just a very small thing: chairs on the balcony would have been nice. However, we also did not ask for it. Probably staff would have found a way to make it possible.

Location was perfect. Quiet at night and only 10 minute walk to Khaosan Road. Lovely are to sit and drink or have breakfast. Pool was welcome after a busy day. Comfortable large bed, free safe. Great little restaurant at the end of the street.

Taxi driver found it a bit challenging to find but nothing really to dislike.

It's a lovely hotel in a great location. It's the way I like it - simple and sweet. It was a nice stay. Breakfast for 300Baht was good too though sometimes bland but salt and pepper are available. Definitely enough to keep you going for the whole day with free flow of coffee and tea. The swimming pool area is very nice too and the hotel is nicely decorated. My room was lovely with a nice view. Got a great rest in the bed. They have water and toilet paper at the front desk so you don't need to ask for these things. All great. A relaxing, undisturbed and comfortable experience in an excellent location - quiet but close to all you may need (boats, buses, temples, restaurants). I would stay again.

The aircon is incredibly loud and strong and it can't be adjusted. Luckily I can sleep without it so it didn't disturb my beauty sleep;)

This place suited us perfectly. It’s great value. I love old style south East Asian resorts and hotels with wood carvings & wood everywhere… I also love mid-century design & asthetics, and this place is a well preserved example of both. Even the lift looks like it’s authentic early 1960’s But important aspects have had an upgrade (like the bathrooms etc). I think we got one of the bigger rooms, at the very top of the building. The view was great. It had a little balcony. It was really comfortable and clean. The bar only sells beer & water… but at a pretty reasonable price… that’s all you need really. There’s a couple of great restaurants on the riverside walkway out front of the hotel, & sone very cheap convenience store / someone’s front room doubling as a shop. It’s a great area, nice to have a river in front of the hotel instead of a noisy street… but then, you’re pretty close to some of the busiest, party spots etc This is great value for money if you want a cheap, central hotel.

Just be aware that if you book a room at the very top (level 5), you will have to take the stairs for the last flight, as the elevator only goes to level 4. That was fine for us, but might not suit everyone.

I liked that the wash basin & hair dryer is outside the bathroom, so i can wash my hands or dry my hair while my brother is using the bathroom, otherwise usually we need to hog the bathroom for longer each. There is a 7-11 just a short walk away and in the morning, in front of the 7-11 there are stalls selling local food like satay (meat skewers), pad Thai & local delicacies. That is where we had the best satay (THB8 per stick) and pad Thai (THB50) and one of the cheapest too. The area has a few of the cheapest massage parlors nearby and a few good local food stalls (Spicy pork rib soup was one of my favourite).

There were no doors/curtains in the shower so whenever we showered, it would wet the toilet floor, but luckily it dries quickly so not a big issue. There is no metro nearby and the nearest pier is 15 minutes walk, and in the heat, that was really something I regretted not choosing a hotel nearer to a metro/pier. Luckily Grab is quite cheap and affordable.

A great location in the heart of old Bangkok close to many attractions

Not a dislike as much as a heads up. The hotel is located on a path along one of the old canels. It is not accessible directly by car and can be a bit tricky to find. Once you're there, the canal makes for a great atmosphere
