The staff were so kind and helpful, bringing us juice and cold towels when we arrived late at night. As other people have said, it's like an oasis in the middle of busy Bangkok. Two stations are close by as well as a colourful night market and lots of shops and restaurants. The breakfast in the leafy courtyard was very nice (including cats) and we liked the wooden decor of the rooms. They even gave us a complimentary basket of snacks! The restaurant in a historic building had excellent food. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

Taxi drivers found it a bit hard to find, but I had made note of the alleyway entrance so knew where to go.

The hotel is tucked in a lane way so taxis may have a hard time finding it. Look for the sign on Surawongse Rd!

Unique decor in public rooms with antique furniture and memorabilia made it feel like a grand traditional home. Extraordinary displays of fresh flowers (including orchids) in foyer and sitting room were stunning and created a welcoming atmosphere. The attention to detail typifies The Rose Residence, it’s Staff and it’s ambience for the guest. You are spoken to by name, and treated as a valued person, offered assistance and advice if needed. Many call this place a ‘gem’ an ‘oasis’ etc. it is all of that. A place of respite from the bustle and heat. I loved the swimming pools, preferring the rooftop one as it is less busy. The bigger one is in the garden adjacent to the century-old traditional cottage (now the restaurant). The ‘residence’ being down a laneway, means no through traffic, no being hassled. If lost, just note the location immediately behind Le Meridien Hotel. I thought breakfast was a wonderful fusion of Thai delights and some of the usual offerings in unique setting. The waiters, like other staff, were disciplined, friendly and offered “top drawer” standard of service. Although, I had not chosen a ‘superior’room, it was spacious, very nicely decorated, had large picture windows, a comfy sofa, desk, drawers, power points, lamps, coffee machine, fridge, spacious wardrobes, safe big bathroom etc etc. Staying here has spoiled me as other places for the same cost, will not be able to compete at this level. I’ve developed “champagne tastes on a beer budget” here as I now know what real quality and service can be and I will expect it. If ever in Bangkok this will definitely be my No. 1 choice for accommodation. Wifi was excellent, strong signal.

Don’t like leaving- think I’ll stay and have another swim after checking out.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Rose Residence during my visit to Bangkok, and I must say, it was a great experience. Nestled in the heart of Silom, this hotel offers the perfect combination of convenience and tranquility. First and foremost, the location of the Rose Residence is absolutely ideal. Situated in a quiet street, it provides a peaceful retreat from the bustling energy of the city. Despite its serene surroundings, it's still within easy reach of the vibrant attractions and amenities Silom has to offer. The hotel's strategic placement allowed me to explore the area effortlessly while knowing I could retreat to a peaceful haven at the end of each day. Upon entering my room, I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and cleanliness. The attention to detail in maintaining a pristine environment was commendable. The room was tastefully decorated, creating a comfortable and welcoming ambiance. The staff at the Rose Residence were attentive and friendly. From the moment I checked in until the time of my departure, they went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. Their professionalism and willingness to assist with any queries or requests made me feel valued as a guest. Overall, I recommend the Rose Residence. It met my expectations in every aspect, from its ideal location in Silom to the spacious and clean rooms, and of course, the comfortable bed. Whether you're visiting Bangkok for business or leisure, this hotel is a good choice.

Beautiful unique hotel in the old traditional Thai style. Really big bedroom with stunning dark wood floors and furniture, and a big comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean. Very helpful and friendly staff. Pancakes for breakfast were delicious, as were the Thai breakfast dishes. Location is super handy - just 7 minutes to the BTS and the Silom Complex for shopping. Plenty of street food in the vicinity too. Would recommend!

Water in the shower ran a bit hot and cold without warning. Not very bad but still noticeable.

The staff were very professional and welcoming. The hotel ambience is superb. The breakfast was exceptional and made even better by the perfect garden location. The pool although quite cool was very nice surrounded by lush gardens. The room was well appointment, spotlessly clean, well serviced and had a really comfy bed. The coffee machine in the room was a bonus. The adjoining restaurant served delicious meals. Not far to walk to the nearest railway station. The laundry service was very efficient.

The outside noise kept us awake. The noise consisted of staff of other establishments chatting loudly below our window at all hours and there was noisy equipment operating outside. There was also the echo of street noise. Earplugs were needed for a quieter sleep. These noises we did find quite disturbing. A shame given how lovely the hotel is.

The room was big and and clean. My partner liked that the bed was firm. The location is really good as it is near the MRT and BTS stations. There are also shopping malls nearby, a temple, and lots of street food. The breakfast was really good and the outdoor seating area was nice. They cleaned up the room every day when we were out.

We saw a cockroach in the bathroom on one of the nights and had to kill it. The temperature of the shower fluctuated a bit.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel. The smell of roses was everywhere. Amazing lobby. Nice and helpful staff (reception, bar, housekeeping). Delicious thai food at hotel's restaurant. 5 minutes walking from metro station Blue line: station Sam Yan. Few metro stations from Grand Palace. Highly reccomend.

Great Pool, Garden, Thai Restaurant. Very calm on the end of a small valley, 3 min walk to Samyan MRT and around 5-7 minutes to Sala Daeng BTS. Would stay definitely again.

Granola or Oatmeal Option on the a la carte breakfast menu would be great

I much prefer smaller hotels to larger ones and this place is tucked back from the busy streets of Bangkok with only five floors. Rooms are nice and we had a small balcony. The residence has two swimming pools one on the roof and a really nice one on the ground floor surrounded by trees, so great shade during a hot day in Bangkok. The breakfast was good, had a burrito and small buffet with salads, bread, fruit and yogurts also included. Location good for restaurants, my wife and I had come down for the evening and had dinner at a French restaurant called Indigo a short walk away and we also went for a morning walk in nearby Lumpini Park. So overall a nice oasis from the Bangkok noise.

Nothing really, if I wanted to be really picky I would say the bread at the buffet could have been better quality. But I still give a 10 as the place is a great oasis in Bangkok, with friendly staff, fantastic pools, nice breakfast and nice place to eat it in a small garden surrounded by trees outside.
