the mattress was to soft for us, we would recommend to choose a medium-hard mattress so it’s not super soft and not super hard - knowing that mattress tastes can be very individual :)

Very spacious, clean, stylish main room and connecting room with two great ensuite bathrooms, good wifi, and coffee, quiet property (& great to recover from jetlag) in a busy lively neighborhood, walking distance to IconSiam (interesting modern shopping mall with food court ), plenty of restaurants around, very helpful staff at check-in

The connecting (just a double-bed size) room had no windows, ideal for 2 children but might be problematic for some grown-ups, to see main Bangkok attraction you need to accept that there is THB100-150 cab ride involved, and no 24hr reception (not even during the day, I believe only when guests are expected) which might make ad-hoc help/information request cumbersome - however, you can always reach and ask per phone... Management tried to contact me via email to arrange payment before check out (which I did not like) and I was also not reading my emails or going into the app

I recently stayed at this hotel, and I can confidently say it was one of the most remarkable experiences I’ve ever had. Great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved the laundry and shared-kitchen facilities. Small property but cosy and did not feel cramped. Great natural lighting as well. The rooms were very spacious. Well designed and furnished. Bathrooms were clean. Block out curtains were great, too, especially for our jetlag and after our long-haul flight. After travelling throughout Europe for 5 weeks with plumbing or hot water issues in almost 90% of the properties we stayed in, it was heavenly to finally have a shower with hot water and good pressure, at more than less than half the cost also. Great service, food, and hospitality. It had a very homely feel when you entered the premises, with the informal and casual seating areas, communal kitchen, and friendly staff welcoming you on entry. Really nice vibe. Thanks for the lovely stay. I would definitely recommend it. Do not hesitate to book!

USP is walking distance to ICONSIAM mall, metro station and pier. This is only offered by other 5 star hotels like Hilton, peninsula, etc in the area. This is a VFM boutique hotel option. Apart from location the hotel is beautifully done up and credit goes to the staff. Staff is very helpful. Room is basic but has everything. No other facilities like pool etc which we anyway didn’t require for this stay. You need at least 2 nights to explore the mall.

There is no restaurant or breakfast even if you want to opt for it but you can get anything you fancy in the ICONSIAM mall. The staff is kind enough to keep coffee and tea for all guests.

The bed was really comfortable and the sheets were pristine. Bathroom and room were exceptionally clean and modern. The location is brilliant, not a far walk from Iconsiam where taxis, tuk tuks and (if you’re feeling brave enough) mopeds are available. The shopping and food at Iconsiam are great. Situated in a nice part of the city and we were made to feel very welcome, host was really helpful. A good start to our 6 months travelling Asia!!!

Varmtel is licated just some minutes walk from Bangkok's newest mall, the IconSiam where you can't just shop but also find an amazing and beautiful food court with all kinds of Thai food. The hotel is not near a BTS but you can easily cross the river where there is a station. The staff is amazing the rooms are light, large and beautiful and they went out of their way when I wanted to extend my stay. There also is a small rooftop terrace and you can do your laundry for free. Everyday, you get two bottles of water for the room and coffee and tea are free 24/7.

The only thing that they really urgently need to improve: There is mould in the bathroom which is a health hazard. And that was in each bathroom of the three rooms that I had during my extended stay. But I hope that they will fix it, then the place is perfect.

I love the peace and quiet amidst the bustling around ICON siam. Walking distance to the ICON siam to get anything you wanted I was there to attend a fan meeting so its the perfect location for me. As much as I would like to gatekeep this but unfortunately, I cant. People need to know about this fabulous place! 25baht thai iced tea corner before the main road, once you reach nearer to ICON siam, the other vendors charge 30baht onwards. comfortable bed, spacious room, most importantly, ITS CLEAN! i love the bathroom and the minimalist interior design. Water flow inlet and outlet better than some of the hotel I stayed in before and wow I'm so thankful I found this place.

The friendly and homely vibe, bright open feel, and location. The location was awesome for me and I got to try taking the ferry (to the BTS) which is a short U-turn from Varmtel. IconSiam is also a stroll away on the same side of the road with massages, restaurants, and convenience stores. The street outside is calm, away but not far, from the tension of the main road. The ground floor is pretty chill as a hangout place with a fully kitted kitchen. Lifts service every floor so no problem with all that shopping. There's always a smiling host behind the reception 24/7 and the lights are always on, so I felt safe and knew if I needed help, it is there. The rooms are uncluttered and spacious. As it was the monsoon, the whole of Bangkok was humid, but the room and sheets did not feel damp or grimy. Had restful nights.

Cannot name something I didn't like. Varmtel was worth the money I paid. I will return and stay again to focus more on Chinatown and the other side of the river. But frankly, the Bolt trip from JJ market to Varmtel was inexpensive as well.

We had a wonderful stay here. The hotel is very, very clean and very cozy, the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The reception speaks excellent English. Very cozy interior, everything is made with love and care. But be careful, the mattresses and pillows in the hotel are so comfortable that you will not want to leave the hotel. The location of the hotel is very convenient. On our next visit to Bangkok we will definitely stay here!
