breakfast - good pool - nice and cosy room - nice and beautifully decoration. the best part is the reception area, with convenient seat and fridge with goodies like fruits, yogurt, biscuit and unlimited coffee supply....

my room has sewer smear..... hopefully they can fix it. room 234... free bicycle is a feature in this hotel, however need to fix the damage bicycle...

I stayed a few times whilst in CM in different rooms. The studio deluxe is the same as the studio, just without the bath on the balcony. Friendly helpful staff. Lovely rooms, comfortable beds (not hard like most places I stayed) nice bathroom and small kitchen with microwave and stovetop. Good WiFi and tv with Netflix. Complimentary bottle of water every day and free snacks/coffee/ fruit in reception which is a nice touch. Location is hidden away down quiet lane, nearest supermarket and 7-11 about 15 min walk. Old town and local market 25-30 mins walk. Plenty of restaurants along river 10-15 min walk. Lots of walking on busy roads or easy to order Grab to anywhere. I definitely would recommend staying here and I stayed in many places during my two months in CM.

Location of room is vital in my experience. I recommend asking for a room on second or third floor and as far as entrance as possible. There are dogs barking and early morning crowing cockerels at the neighbouring property, not heard if further away.

We booked a studio suite, room was really nice, spacious and with a nice terrace with bathtub just in front of the bed. I have to say that pictures really reflect reality. The hotel is located in a side-street which makes it pretty quiet and relaxing.

Location is in a side street which definitely makes it quiet and relaxing compared to the busy city streets. However I would not call this centrally-located. It takes about 15-20 minutes walking to reach the heart of the city. The hotel is overall quite clean but not super fresh. Bedsheets with small stains, a bit dusty on the floor (walking barefoot in the room you could really see a bit of dirt on your feet’s, toilet a bit yellowish inside). Pool area doesn’t really feel taken care of, I think it has much more potential, would suggest to take a bit more care of it. Breakfast is ok, not a lot of options but I guess this is normal in a boutique hotel.

We loved our stay at Gategaa and had the best sleep in the entire week! The hotel is so arty and there are little artworks everywhere, all the decor were so beautifully put together, nestled in nature and you have a good view sitting in the communal dining area to chill. At night when it's lited up, it looks so romantic and always gives a warm happy feeling coming back to the hotel after a day's out. Hotel provides some free snacks from 11am-11pm and it was so enjoyable to pop by and have a coffee, take a bowl of glass jelly or fruits to unwind and snack. The breakfast is absolutely delicious, with a good mix of western breakfast and thai dishes available. Cold press juice in the morning is delightful! The room is spacious and so comfortable. We had the best sleep ever, with block out curtains, firm mattress and soft pillows. This is the best place really!

The pool looks smaller than the photos and may not be as inviting. But other than that, everything else is 11/10!

My partner and I were thrilled with the suite we booked - it was incredibly spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfast provided exceeded our expectations, and we were delighted to find that the hotel had a 24/7 pantry in the reception area, which allowed us to help ourselves to a variety of snacks and refreshments at any time. The laundry facilities were also very easy to use, which was a bonus. Additionally, the staff members we encountered throughout our stay were all exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making our experience even more enjoyable.

One area that could be improved upon is the provision of more effective mosquito repellent in the room. We noticed that there were several sluggish mosquitoes buzzing around the room during our stay, and we ended up getting bitten a few times. We discovered that they tended to congregate on the ledge of the showering area, and we found that a single spray of water was usually enough to kill them. We also made a point of keeping the bathroom door closed throughout the day to prevent them from entering the main area. Additionally, we were occasionally disturbed by barking dogs in the neighborhood. However, as heavy sleepers, this didn't affect us too much. It may be helpful to bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise when sleeping.

Excellent!! I went with my family with a total of 4 and booked Quadruple Room, the room is very spacious and it has TWO BATHROOM, which I didn’t expect!! The beds are comfortable, the room is clean and we love the design of the whole property! The staff are very friendly and helpful and their English is good to speak with. They has 247 front desk and the inclusive breakfast is a warm buffet providing different dish everyday. Saw some comments of dog poos. They do have 2 dogs always stay at the entrance but I didn’t see any poo. The location is about 6-7mins transport from the city centre but its okay cause we always go outside but calling Uber. It’s cheap and convenience. If you return the hotel at night, it’s highly recommended you to back by vehicles instead of by foot cause it is not located in the main street and lighting is not enough on the way back.

Just a little comment…the jacuzzi is not in the bathroom but in the bedroom right next to the beds with no partition….this is good to a family with kids but not too friendly to families with all adult members XDDD

Everything was really great: location was very comfortable, with good parking inside the yard, even though it is not too far away from city center, but located more far away from main streets so you really don’t feel and hear the city noise. Some comments says the pool is in bad condition - we didn’t notice that. Staff was always helpfull, there was always an open area with complementary tea, some fruits and thai deserts, also the breakfast menu was wide and good.

If I had to give a prize for the most aesthetically beautiful place I have ever stayed in, this would be the winner by a mile. Every nook and corner was so artfully decorated, everything was a joy to look at. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and to provide us with vegan breakfast. Unlimited fruit, milk, nuts and coffee 24X7, whoa, I don't recollect any other place that offers this. Just a very happy vibe about everyone and everything out there.

Nothing actually, everything was too perfect.

Comfortable rooms aside from the incredibly uncomfortable plastic chairs - modern and colorful but not comfortable - go back to sofa chairs. Decent water pressure and hot showers. Above average selection for breakfast - covers all tastes. Real coffee in rooms is a nice touch.

As Chiang Mai is top of the global charts for air pollution from March to May....you have got to stop with the open air restaurant - particularly at breakfast. Close the windows and doors and buy some air purifiers for your guests. Toxic eating breakfast in those conditions.

The location is great, within a 20 minute walk towards all the shops and restaurants. The people who work there are very nice and we loved the variety in breakfast, we even got some for on the way on the day of check-out (at 5 in the morning).

There are some cats and dogs making noise outside from time to time. It wasn't every night, but if you are a light sleeper you should bring earplugs just in case. Don't let this scare you though, the place was lovely.
