Pon was an amazing host. She gave us tips on where to go and what to do. The rooms were clean and had multiple fans to keep you cool. The shared space is really inviting with an open fire area also. Each night there is an option to help cook your dinner with Pon and any other guests. This was so fun, a great way to meet people and you will leave full-bellied! For 80 THB it is silly not to do it. I highly recommend, we did this every night of our stay and it was actually the reason why some of our friends stayed an extra night!

Nothing!!

The owner was a sweetheart AND give a lot of good recommandation. The rooms were very clean and spatious. The food was really good, and the cooking with the owner was really great and cheap 80bath. There is a beautiful smile on the owners face when she puts spice and other ingredients in the food. Most people we met in the hostel were very nice, the social area is quite nice.the hotel looks like a old traditional house. We intended to stay three days but we stayed a full week, since we like it so much. It is not a party hostel wich was good for us but it is still very social. Since you probable have a scooter , it Is not far from all the things to see. One of our best experience in Asia.

It really didnot bother us but you need to know these if it's not your things: The rooms are nice but clearly outdated. There were some ants in the bathroom, nothing horrible you can't get rid off.( It's normal the all town is in the middle of the jungle) The wall are quite thin, but social area do not touch the rooms and we never had problems to sleep.

Very friendly host. Comfortable bed. Cozy vibes. Cooking dinner together is one of the best activities to get to know other travelers better and also much better than the usual cooking classes you get outside. And getting to have dinner with the host offers great perspective about the country too, which you don't always get to hear about. They offer great tours too, the guide is very sincere and brought us to few places, which for the same price in big cities or usual tourist places, I definitely wouldn't get so much attractions and hearing stories from a local's perspective

I loved staying here, it really made the difference. It's a 30 walk from downtown but it's nicer staying here than downtown, because in the center during the day there's not much to do. There's a big garden with a couple of tents, rooms around, and a fireplace that is always on, and a pot of ginger tea always fresh. In the evening guests and people from the town gather around the fire and chat. But what really made the difference was the girl that runs the structure (I didn't get her name, Pon?). She is so nice and knowledgeable and she gave us so many tips for things to do in the area that we wished we could stay a week! She also arranged a scooter and a tuk-tuk to the airport, easy-peasy. The place is not the poshest in town, but if I'd go back, I would definitely stay here again!

Sometimes when you travel, you're lucky enough to stay somewhere that feels like home--this place was like that. LOVED the communal feeling here. Sitting by the fire in the courtyard talking to other travelers felt so relaxing after a day exploring. One of the main hosts, Pon, was SO kind and helpful. She was fun to talk to, and offered great tips to help us navigate the town. She also hosts a nightly cooking class (at a very cheap, reasonable cost) where you can learn how to make regional Thai dishes alongside her--one of the highlights of our stay in Mae Hong Son. The location is a bit of a walk to the main stretch of town, but we had a car for the trip so this wasn't an issue for us. (The house offered free parking--another bonus.) Overall: great value, comfortable room, clean bathroom. Can't recommend this place enough. <3

Wonderful place, I loved it, would definitely stay again. Traditional wooden house, full of character and charm. I stayed in a dorm, only 4 individual spacious pods, no bunks, privacy curtains, ensuite bathroom, super clean. Beautiful garden/communal areas, free coffee, tea, bananas and drinking water, everybody sits by the fire every night with ginger tea and sweet potatoes roasting. Clean bedding and even towels, free shampoo etc. Incredible, if it was 3 times the price it'd still be totally worth it.

It's half hour walk to the town centre but they'll give you a bike for just 20B a day

This was a really nice place with great staff, very friendly when we arrived late. Free water and tea which was a nice touch and there was a fire going outside! It's a traditional old house - felt very clean. It's next to the main road which was a bit noisy but I guess that's the joy of thailand and motorbikes. The town was really great - a very local feel with night market and impressive temple(s).

The road was a bit noisy outside.

Stayed here during my Mae Hong Son Loop. Came for 1 night and stayed 3. The shared dorm is not amazing (still super clean and has all you need), the private ones are nicer, but THE VIBE 🫶🏻. The local guys working there are the sweetest and they attract the best people. The cooking class was really nice. Not many people staying but the nicest one for sure 🙏🏼. Go stay there!

Beautiful Thai teak house with large, pretty garden including hammocks. Rooms have sustainable toiletries. Free water available 24/7 - no plastic! Porn, the owner, is extremely helpful as well as being a great cook. She'll cook dishes according to your wishes. I can't recommend Crossroads highly enough and will definitely return.

It's on a main road so there's a bit of traffic noise. The rooms are rather dark, though I expect that's the nature of traditional Thai houses.

Family atmosphere, really good at getting everyone together and for dinner and feeling comfy and well cared for. Beautiful teak house, dorm bed was comfy. Was invited to cook dinner with everyone and eat together for the low price of 80 baht. After dinner was offered tea and a bonfire was lit for chilling outside (as well as fire roast veggies to snack on). Bar onsite for some casual drinks. Really wonderful place i could of stayed in longer.

No aircon in room, but did not get too hot in the night so cannot really complain about that.
