Nice resort located in a green and quite environment just outside the historic area. The staff is very friendly and helpfull with advise and organise bookings for events, transport etc. The room was clean with good a/c, a decent wifi and some small facilities. They have a lot of bicycles and a few motorcycles available at cheap prices for rent to explore the historic area. Using a bike is to me the best way to explore. All major temples have facilities/gards to store the bike without charge. The resort can be reached from the train station by local tuc-tuc (price 120-150 thb). A few simple restaurants are located in walking distance from the resort. The resort itself does not offer dinner and has only limited breakfast service. This is a recommendable place to stay for a few days.

I believe that if the breakfast service could improve a little, my rating would go up. Not really a deal breaker, but I think the garden maintenance (death leaves everywhere) can improve as well.

The Old Palace is very quaint and peaceful and exceptional value for money. It is around 35minutes walk away from the market and Soi 2 so hire a bike or get Reception to order you Pop's tuktuk or a taxi. Don't forget to tell your driver you want him to come back otherwise it is a long walk home through dark streets. The staff at the Old Palace are lovely, nothing is too much trouble for them. Also the 100 baht breakfast and free tea and coffee and daily water is great Highly recommended

My pillow was too hard but I just used my flight pillow. Nothing else at all

Nice guesthouse, spacious rooms, clean and comfortable! Very friendly host and staff. Sweet dog named tahoe! Good location. Good breakfast. Bicycles for rent at cheap price.

Communication: difficult. No reply on written messages on booking.com. We wanted info on going to Sangklaburi but the info was difficult to get. The host did her best and adviced us to go to the market at the minivan stand but there no-one understood English. We asked around for help and people were willing to help us but due to the language problem it was impossible for us to get to know departure time and price for a ticket of the minivan. It would be helpful if this information could be given by the guesthouse. Finally we took a train back to Bangkok and booked a train from there. Room: no good reading light.

Quaint, lots of character. The room had a wire rack that was great for many things— holding a suitcase, hanging and drying clothes, and keeping things off the floor. There was a small table and / chairs — very nice to have a place to sit besides the bed! I especially liked that they provided water in a glass, refillable bottle instead of all the horrid plastic that we eye witnessed is floating around in the ocean and beaches around Phuket. Very sweet proprietor and staff.

It was a long walk to the one restaurant there was to choose from.

Location was the best..Place itself really interesting and lovely but could do a bit more renovation as it is a bit tired looking..Rooms are good size and cleaned everyday. The only downsize is for the rooms we stayed is window /door is full glass and looking at open air corridor..Curtains gives you pravicy but then you loose the day light. A good hang out place is most needed so quest could interact. (There is places but but it is spreaded so there is not such a communal area to sit around) But building and surrandinhs lovely. Owner and staff most helpfull if you need anything. We stayed 5 night here and we really enjoyed it..If we go back Ayutthaya this place would be our firat option.

As I said above rooms are very good but comunal areas / enterance needs a bit touch.

The room was clean and nice. The staff were lovely and so accommodating, the head lady was able to organise a motorcycle for us to use during our stay as well as getting us transport back to the train station. She was so sweet to us even just while having casual conversations - we would definitely go back.

We mistakenly left some food on our table in the room and had some ants swarm it. However, as soon as we fixed that and removed the food they were gone quick smart. So just be aware not to leave opened food out.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Since covid past and currently Ayutthaya is flooded not so many tourist from abroad are back in town. But it's worth to do and stay one or two nights in Ayutthaya as we made. It doesn't matter what need you have, the staff every time give the best to support you. They arrange a tuc tuc with a known driver and his wife, she gets the money 😂, to bring you around the uncountable tramples, they arrange the pick up to the night market and finally to the train station. The Resort and Spa is not really existing, but if you ask for a massage they arrange within 30 minutes a lady who takes excellent care of you in a separate room.

quiet and generally peaceful (very little street noise). very friendly and helpful staff in arranging different transport options and activities. The room was very large and had large windows with lots of natural light, and there was outdoor seating space with each room. Also they have a great breakfast, which can be enjoyed at a nice outdoor patio. tel

there were quite a few mosquitos in the room, and I think it was due to poor sealing. Perhaps it could be sealed better or a mosquito net for the bed.

Good value and very nice host. We were only able to stay for a night but had a great time searching temples and enjoyed the accommodation when on the property. The property is a longer walk away from restaurants in the area if you have trouble getting around. Unfortunately my bike I rented ended up getting a flat tire. this was no problem as the hotel owner was very nice and did not charge me for the inconvenience, but with the distance we were from the property it was an issue getting back.

Very nice place to stay surrounded by nature. Big room with private bathroom. The staff is lovely and they put free water every day in the mini fridge. It is not in the city center but you can rent a bike or get a Grab to the main attractions. A grab from the railway station is about 88 TBH
