The room was clean and comfy inside. We really liked the stone walls with the tracks of ancient shells in them. The bed was soft and the bathroom was relatively roomy. The hosts were very friendly to us and helped with everything. The hotel is not big, there are only several rooms. Sometimes a local cat was coming by to say hello. I also loved the unlimited Turkish tea near our room :D Also to mention, there is 24-hours desk at the hotel, so it feels secure.

I would give it 10/10, but there was construction work near the hotel and it was very noisy at daytime. Technically it wasn't fault of the hosts, but just for your consideration if you have a long flight, it will be hard to take a nap at daytime even with ear plugs. The noise from construction work started at 9 AM next day. Sunday was a quiet day though. Our room was in the ground floor, although it was very convenient to travel with luggage without walking over steps, I would advice to somehow inflate the door to the ground floor room, because sometimes we heard morning noise from the reception. Also the shower hose was leaking, needs replacement. I would definitely stay again here, if the construction work near the hotel is over.

The location of the hotel is very convenient. It is close to the center, however the area is not loud and the apartment itself was quiet. Furthermore, the staff was exceptional and always there for us when we asked for help. We asked for earlier check-in and they had our room ready already in the morning. They also helped us bring the luggage to the bus station in the middle of the night. The room and the bathroom were clean and new, the bed was very comfortable, the much needed AC. There is nothing that we could complain about. When we come back to Istanbul we will for sure astay at Calanthe again.

family run residence, all very nice and welcoming. The could orient you with no problems, had with the youngest a transfer reserved but had to unfortunately cancel last minute because I ended taking the bus. even though the place is nicely located, clean and in somewhat calm neighborhood except for the construction nearby.

The staff was friendly and very helpful! It is on a quiet, less traveled street close to Taksim Square and Istiklal Street so you can get to the major attractions easily but won't have to deal with the crowds and noise when you want to sleep. The hotels on this street are still developing so they are less expensive than most in the tourist district of the city.

Mom & daughter vacation. Explored the main areas of the city and even more. The location is perfect to walk. Once you know how to use public transportation it gets even better. Feel free to ask Omer or Aykut, they are extremely professional and friendly, and always help you out with where to go/what to see. We had a blast and highly recommend Calanthe Residence for your stay in Istanbul.

I want to thank the night shift employee who accompanied me to the airport shuttle bus stop and was very chivalrous.

The downside was the pillows, which were very uncomfortable, and the air conditioner which was set at 16 degrees but felt like 25.

I booked a room in this hotel for my mother and sister during their trip to Istanbul. They were quite happy and satisfied with their staying. Special thanks to the hotel manager, Mr. Ömer, who is very friendly and welcoming towards the guests. He goes beyond the normal expectations to make the guests comfortable and satisfied. He was also helpful to organise to do the PCR tests in the hotel on-time and in a comfortable way. Also, the night receptionist, Mr. Aykut, is very polite and friendly. The hotel itself is very clean and close to the Taksim square as well as the airport bus stop.

This stay was truly special, mostly due to the warmest hospitality we could imagine. During our whole stay we felt extremely well taken care of. People who work there were caring and friendly, they made sure we are comfortable and safe. Omer assisted with arranging us PCR tests and he made sure we get fair deals on taxis. As for the hotel utilities - we got all extra pillows and duvets we needed, the water pressure at the shower is superb and there is warm tea waiting for you at all times :) But trust me, the true gems of Calanthe Residence are its crew members - this mixture of amiable attitude and professionalism in people is rare but you can definitely find them right here!

We loved everything and wouldn't change it for a stay at any 5star fancy hotel :)

Excellent location - walking distance to metro, clean rooms, friendly and helpful owners who were flexible with check in and check out and gave us metro cards, loved the resident kitty
