I can not help but notice some negative comments about this hotel left on Booking.com and on Google Map before my trip. To be honest with you, when I booked the place, before my arrival, I was a bit worried ... (I am very PICKY about hotel location, so regardless of seeing some of their negative reviews, I still booked it, because its location is SIMPLY THE BEST that you can ever find in Istanbul on Booking.com!!!) BUT guess what, after I arrived there, ALL THE DOUBTs IN MY HEAD were ALL GONE... the room, the bed, the toilet, the shower room are BIG and CLEAN...the water 💧 was very strong, the air-conditioning worked perfectly The staff were ALL VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY!!! 👏 👍 (That includes Ali, Cuneyt, and another person, I forgot the name, sorry)... in addition, the cleaning ladies made the room VERY CLEAN, another thumb up. 👍

If I have to be very picky about my overall experience, then I would say it can be a bit noisy sometimes...because it's located right in the most famous night life area in Istanbul (Taksim), not far away from lot's of fun night clubs, pubs, and restaurants that play wonderful traditional Turkish music. BUT, don't be frightened!!! the noise was TOTALLY BEARABLE with ear plugs! I'll strongly suggest you put on ear plugs when sleeping 😴 there... then by doing so, you can simply " Enjoy the BEST out of your stay in Istanbul." : " Going to Old town, South, area for most of the ancient sightseeing spots by days, and Living and having fun in New town, North, area to enjoy local people's life, and their night life by night !!! "

The staff are a really good Reception guy Ali who helped with the Travel plan,other services related to money exchange, flight booking n all. Further room service is excellent and the room is cleaned daily when you are away.It is a prime location so you will have access to everything. It is a prime location which has all the pubs and cafes nearby so it is a busy place with a crowd the entire night. Close to Istiklal street. Walkable distance to Galata tower and Bridge. Walkable to Taskim square where you can take the Tram or Train for your Tourist place visit.

The Maxwell Hotel is excellent value for money. We were welcomed straight away and arrived late. Very accommodating. The gentleman on reception gave us the WiFi and then rang our room to make sure we were all ok. Room had all you could need, tea, coffee facilities. Good Shower and was clean. Lovely little breakfast that was included. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were very satisfied with the hotel for what we paid.

The Hotel is located in a little bit of a busy area with pubs and bars close which would be great for going out. The only issue for us was there was a club or bar near by that was a little noisy till quite late, having said that for what we paid and our length of stay it didn't bother us too much.

As a tourist, I was looking to stay near Taksim and especially Istiklal and this place right on Istiklal street - near to the thousands of eateries, shopping centers and stores, location was perfect. Bed was comfortable and the balcony offered such great views. Reception guy was really courteous and helped with a few requests. Worth the money despite some noticeable drawbacks.

This hotel is right next to clubs and bars and it gets extremely noisy for anyone to sleep. Didn’t get any sleep at all even though I am not a light sleeper. The room itself is small without enough space to move around with luggages.

The location was great. It’s near the isteklal street and about 10 minutes to taksim square by walk. The staff was so kind and very helpful for everything especially Ferat and Ali, they can speak English very well. The breakfast was so good and acceptable and you can choose what you want. The room and bed was so clean and they clean the room whenever you want. The hotel has an elevator and it’s so good for guests.

The room was so small. Another thing that was bad is the hotel near the bars and nightclubs, so sometimes was noisy. That would be great if they put a chair in the room. But overall our accommodation was great.

initially i had some doubts about this hotel. After all, some reviews are not the best. However, I was very positively surprised. The hotel is located in the very center of the Taksim district, the clubs are literally 1-3 minutes away. Of course it's noisy all night long, but that will be the case in every hotel in this district, without exception. The hotel is not in the red light district - there used to be a brothel and a few prostitutes, but you can't see them now. Perhaps they are, but they do not hook and are not visible. There were more of them a few months ago. In addition, the area is very safe due to the large number of police, of which there are generally many in Istanbul due to the geopolitical situation. The service is very nice and very helpful.

The Otel employees are so lovely and cordial persons as far as belive ,they feel us to like i was at home and they are very smiling eachother and us with all time , everything is good from my heart and my room has cleaned until my leave ☺️The reception is relating to whatever İ want while sitting there ,i loved very much also my slighest defect was taken of immediately.Additionaly,the location was very good from hotel to İstiklal street.Shortly i would recommend it to anyone who is going to accomodation Maxwell hotel im very grateful to all employees and hotel 👍👍👍👏

İ stayed short time and there was no negative things from me .

Best hotel staff ever. They ordered and arranged covid testing for me, provided a better mattress for the child, candies for the child,... Perfest locatoon - the hotel is located near the subway, buses and 100 m from the street Istiklal (Taksim).

The staff were very helpful and friendly especially Ali, he gave us tips and offered us an early check-in as we came early and were so exhausted, he was understanding and super helpful. The room was a little small but clean and accommodating and was cleaned daily. A simple breakfast was served but tasty, fulfilling and enough to start a day. The location was excellent, right in the center of Taksim.

The room was small and neighborhood was noisy at night especially on the weekend. Everything else was very good.

Hotel Maxwell made my stay in Istanbul and I had an exceptional holiday! From the first contact at the reception till the last day I was satisfied with everything: the staff, service, room and breakfast in the hotel. I would like to highlight on Ali´s behaviour: always helpful and kind, a person in a very right place. I wish every receptionist would be as positive and nice, as he is.:-) Ali´s colleague and the cleaning ladies did their job well, too.
