We absolutely loved our 3-night stay at Karlik Cave Hotel in Uchisar – it was truly unforgettable! 1. The staff: Every single member of the team was exceptionally kind, attentive, and always ready to help with any request. They made us feel completely at home, cared for throughout our stay. 2. The property: The hotel is new, spotless, and beautifully designed with great attention to detail. From our room, we could enjoy the magical sight of hot air balloons rising at sunrise – an experience we will never forget. 3. The breakfast: The traditional Turkish breakfast was simply amazing – fresh, delicious, and with such a wide variety of options. On top of that, the Karlik Cave Hotel also organized two private tours for us (the Red Tour and the Green Tour). Our guide customized each day according to our interests, and everything was perfect. We were able to fully enjoy the beauty of Cappadocia, traveling in a brand-new, very comfortable van with a professional driver. We also fell in love with Uchisar itself – a quiet, charming village with a touch of understated luxury, perfect for a peaceful stay away from the crowds. If I ever return to Cappadocia, I will definitely come back to Karlik Cave Hotel

Everything in this hotel reminded me of a resort. There is a small bar, a lounging area, tables to eat or work at, and plenty of areas to explore. The staff was amazing and had excellent recommendations for dinner (clay pot beef at Stone Owl!!), booked us the most amazing guide the next day, and booked a massage for us in our room. Breakfast was outstanding - served at the table with more than enough to eat and drink. Even though it has stone walls and was below freezing outside, the room has heated floors and was so incredibly cozy. Cannot say enough good things about this place!

Excellent cave hotel. Booked it as a special stay for our engagement. The staff were incredibly hospitable; they were warm and welcoming and helped me make arrangements for the proposal. It’s the little things that made this stay stand out - they decorated our room while we were out getting engaged, they provided a bowl of fruit the day before we went out very early to watch the hot air balloons, and knowing they had booked us an airport shuttle for very early on our last day they packed us sandwiches and apples for our flight since we would miss the last breakfast. And the Turkish breakfasts they served were incredible and incredibly substantial! The terrace is very peaceful as well - a great place to eat and relax.

This likely goes for most cave hotels but it feels a touch damp inside - though was pretty well offset by the AC provided in the room. We are really happy we stayed in Uçhisar as it was much quieter and less crowded than Göreme (and only a 7 min taxi to Göreme for ~350 lira), but something to note is that the hot air balloons viewing isn’t as spectacular from Uçhisar - would recommend having transport organized to near the valley to view the balloons.

We had a wonderful two-day stay at this hotel. The location is excellent—right from the hotel’s terrace, you can enjoy the sunrise and watch numerous hot air balloons. I would give double full marks for the service. The owner, manager, and staff were all incredibly attentive. If you’re not used to Turkish olives, you can let them know your preferences in advance. The day tour arranged by the hotel was fantastic. Public transportation in Cappadocia is very convenient, and the private guided tour was exceptionally thoughtful. Just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel, there are some great restaurants. The hotel can help you arrange anything you need. In short, we were extremely, extremely satisfied.

So happy I chose this hotel for my first visit to Türkiye! A peaceful atmosphere with gorgeous rooms, outstanding views of pigeon valley and the mountains beyond. I loved my breakfasts as they were so fresh, delicious and nicely presented. The staff were kind and helpful and Orhun the manager went above and beyond to make my stay a good one. He helped me book on to the balloon ride and the tours. I highly recommend the hotel to solo travellers. The local town has many restaurants, amazing views to explore around Uchisar Castle, a short walk away. I’d love to return one day.

This is a really nice hotel, with great staff, good (very large) breakfast, clean facilities, and nice amenities; we stayed here for five nights. While our room/outside our room did not have any view to speak of, the views of the balloons from the common hotel terrace in the morning were spectacular. And, our room was absolutely quiet and dark. We think it would be a great option for anyone on a one to three night stay, as they seem particularly well set up for that.

We did have some minor difficulties with our balloon flight whereas we were sold a one hour long trip, and it was only 35 minutes. We understand fully this was out of the control of the hotel, but when we inquired about it afterwards, they committed to following up and that unfortunately did not happen. And when we looked up the company they recommended, we found that it was not particularly well rated. Additionally, without requesting, we were offered some recommendations given our extended stay in Türkiye including visiting a friend’s hotel in another city. We were very open and even keen on this idea, but the follow up, again, never happened. These are really minor issues, but honoring commitments is something we put very high value on.

We loved our stay at Karlik Cave. We loved the hotel's location, the room's condition (space, bathtub, huge, comfortable bed), and the terraces with wonderful sunset views. But above all, we appreciated the service from the entire team, which was simply exceptional. A special mention to Omer, who made our lives easy and enjoyable at all times, both with booking activities and transportation, so we didn't have to worry about a thing. I travel a lot, and I wish I met more people like him.

The location is ideal—quiet, scenic, and close to key attractions. Special thanks to Ali, who went above and beyond to organise all our tours and transport. His local knowledge and responsiveness made our stay seamless and stress-free. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a well-run, comfortable base to explore the region.

Pro's 1. Location is good and the view is also good. Hotel is located in a quite area and there are few good cafes at walking distance. 2. Rooms are spacious and have good views. Jacuzzi in the room and tv opposite it is the most likable feature in a deluxe room. 3. Staff is very good and friendly, helpful. Cons Please be careful in booking the no of people and beds Ina room. As the rooms are mentioned for 4 person but the hotel provides bed for 2 person only. For indian vegetarian family, options in breakfast are very limited.
