Huge bedroom and en-suite bathroom.

Parking at the hotel was difficult. There was only one young girl serving the entire hotel for breakfast. She was friendly and professional however it felt unfair to leave her to work alone. Although service was slow the food was good and arrived hot.

We had visited The Bank before for dinner, so when we returned to the area we choose to stay there. Couldn't have been happier the staff were so welcoming and helpful, offering to take our luggage to our room. I couldn't believe the view from our top floor bedroom, it was sensational overlooking the harbour, from a gorgeous window seat. I could have stayed in the room all day, just looking out the window. Over two days we had breakfast and dinner, and both were top rate. There is also a lovely beer garden to the rear of the hotel, lovely for a drink or two.

It is a beautiful hotel. I had made an error with the booking and the staff could not have been more helpful. They were all lovely. The bedrooms are incredibly spacious and the views from the back were amazing. Great entertainment on Sunday afternoon: Andy Chung was playing which made our stay even more memorable. Lunch on Sunday and breakfast on Monday - compliments to the chef!

Access. I messed up our booking - that was totally my fault but even if I hadn't, it was quite tricky getting in and out of the bar and into the back garden for someone with walking difficulties where steps/stairs had no rail.

The room was excellent - a good sized double (or twin) with all the expected facilities. The bathroom was a great size with a good over-bath shower. All areas were very clean, and comfortable. When we checked in the member of staff who assisted us was excellent. He also went above and beyond to help us get a dinner reservation in neighbouring establishments as they were fully booked.

Its advertised as both cycle friendly and vegan friendly, and although they did make some good efforts to accommodate, they missed the mark a little. There is no secure bike storage facility and we had to lock the bikes within the outside bin/keg store, which was unlocked and fairly easily accessible from the street. Appreciate that most hotels are reluctant to have bikes into rooms, but with £6,000 worth of bikes the storage is not the safest. The vegan options at breakfast were good - there was non-dairy milk - but no non-dairy spread (butter) - which is a real simple item to provide.

The room was HUGE. We appreciated the space even if it was only for the two of us. The view from the secondary bedroom was beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. It was within walking distance to everything we needed. Check in and check out was a breeze.

We don't sleep very early and people weren't rowdy even though the pub next door was very busy, but it was still a bit disconcerting hearing chatter outside your window as we were on the ground floor right next to the pub's entrance. But for us, it wasn't really a big bother.

The bed was extremely comfortable and exceptionally clean. The breakfast was terrific and staff was very attentive. It's a rather unique property and I'm glad I was able to stay there - and would again.

My room was on the street side, at street level. While it's not a busy street, that meant that any noise on the street was as if it was right next to me. And because I was at street level, the bottom two-thirds of the window was opaque. I like being able to have the blinds open and to see outside. I wouldn't say I didn't like it, and I was able to sleep, but that was what I liked least, I suppose.

Lovely spacious room, great central location with free parking very close by. Comfortable king bed with good pillows, great shower with plenty towels and toiletries provided and a decent hairdryer in the room. Extra touches like bottled water in the fridge and a facecloth! A thing I forget often and so for me was a great find in my room. The hotel was very clean, staff were brilliant and the pub downstairs has a great atmosphere.

As an old building the windows are single pane sash windows, as a light sleeper there was a bit too much noise for me however that’s a personal thing and wouldn’t stop me coming back but a note to anyone else similar to me, worth requesting a room at the back of the hotel away from the street

An absolute gem in Anstruther in a wonderful location! Restrained & elegant decor Lovely characterful building. The hotel & rooms completely separated from the bar & dining area with its own entrance from the street. A room with a spectacular view over the inlet harbour & sea .. just perfect A Lovely comfortable room with everything we needed . Bath with shower over and hot towel rails. Breakfast room / restaurant accessed by walking a few steps along the street & through the bar area . Breakfast staff were all lovely and did a perfect job ! Beautiful views over the sea with a small outdoor seating area .

Arriving with luggage & no designated parking, the 3 spaces In from of hotel often taken . (used the public car park a short walk away ) No reception as such .. so any communication have to find someone behind the bar , not really sure who exactly was the management. Checked in by Patrick, who was helpful but we never saw again. Breakfast rather basic disappointed to find no fruit / yogurts or extras .. just individual cereal packs . Although the hot breakfasts were lovely & cooked to order ! Rather tired area decor & bit basic .. a little imagination this has the potential to be a wonderful dining room!

Room was so big and clean. Beds were comfortable. Loved the table and chairs, ideal for watching tv with a cuppa. Bathroom was great size with a huge bath. Excellent location and able to park right outside door. Staff were great, friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was good with great choice and great choice of food during the day and evening.

Quite noisy outside hotel around midnight to 1.30am when it’s shutting time and people are outside door waiting for taxis.

the location was very good being close to the seafront and harbour. the accommodation was superb. Modern, spacious, warm and spotlessly clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable.Staff were very helpful offering to assist us with our luggage and were welcoming and cheerful. Breakfast was lovely, served in the bright dining room with sea views.

not great for parking but it is situated in a tight street in an historical town so didn’t come as a surprise. Ample parking a few minutes walk away.
