We were immediately offered tea or coffee, which was served with biscuits and a pleasant chat including helpful suggestions about what to see and how to get there. We were offered a range of breakfast menu and a time at which to eat it. We chose "traditional Irish" every morning and were not disappointed! The ground floor room had an en-suite bathroom and our hostess gave us detailed instructions as to how to use the shower. The bed was comfortable. The whole place was spotlessly clean and we were offered clean towels when required.

Irene is a busy woman with a job and a family to "distract" her. On the whole that wasn't a problem for us, but she wasn't actually there when we arrived. With the help of a neighbour, she was contacted and had been delayed in traffic. Had we been more proficient with our phones, it would have been easily solved. Irene is certainly easy to forgive!

Our hostess was a gem; so welcoming & personable; on arrival we were greeted with a cup of tea & biscuits. We had the bedroom by the front door & driveway which was perfect. Our breakfasts were excellent and plentiful. The weather was pretty miserable but the home feeling of the house made us welcome. We were given good suggestions re dining out & listening to traditional Irish music (be there on a Thursday night!)

It was a very clean set up. Host was very friendly and helpful.

For excellence it would be nice to have wider access to tea, coffee. Kitchen was locked overnight so no access to drinks until 8am. Difficult if interrupted sleep & needing a drink. Unfortunately the people in the room above us were awake & constantly on the move from about 6-7.30 am. It was not possible to sleep. Blackout blinds would be fantastic.

Irene was a very friendly host. When she checked us in she recommended some bars in town for drinks and also for some other sights to see which we didn't know about, which was great. Breakfast was nice in the morning. Parking was off-street on the driveway, which was wide enough to ensure no one got blocked in. Private Ensuite bathroom. Good location to drive into Ballycastle. Good value for money.

Could do with a second pillow each as they were a tad flat.

Comfortable family room with good facilities. Irene was very welcoming. Close to the town centre (10-15min walk) with food and pubs. The room was quiet and there was an area in the kitchen to make tea/coffee and sandwiches if you were out for the day. Nice to have a bed each (double and 2 single) even if it is a little cosy. Great location for exploring the north Antrim coast

Very quiet, 5-room private home. Host was super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast for €10 was of very good quality, choice of warm breakfast. Very clean. 15min walk downtown. Parking in the front yard.

4 bed room was exactly that: a room cramped with 4 beds and nothing else. Very tight, wall closet was almost inaccessible. Shower has a boiler, water pressure was OK.

The room we had was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Bathroom was the same. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast for extra but very good. Owner is very friendly and helpful. There is faculties in another room to make tea or coffee. For a nights stay it was very nice. Parking is available on site.

Nothing.

Clean, comfy, good service

A little confusing to get to I would put lino on the stairs, gets loud when people are coming and going The door to the dining area locked, I was hoping to top up my water bottle before hitting the road but it was very early in the morning

The owner was friendly and helpful. I rang the owner to gain access to the building and she answered promptly. Breakfast was very good and flexible to cope with my wife's allergy. The sign indicating that the property was a bed and breakfast was helpful.

We had a bit of difficulty locating the property as the road has various bits to it so locating the number we wanted was challenging. I wasn't sure how to gain access as there was no front door bell. The parking was OK but I had to park behind a bus which needed to go out fairly early so I had to move the car. The facilities in the room were OK and the shower was effective but the room and toilet were a bit tight for space so a bit difficult to open out and store your suitcases.

Irene, our host, is a wonderful human being! Incredibly kind and energetic, very attentive to us. The B and B has so many lovely little touches that make it truly feel like home! When visiting Northern Ireland, we specifically wanted to stay in small, locally owned places, not hotels or chain hotels. The experience you have in a B and B truly matches the vibe of Northern Ireland - very genuine, authentic, and personal. Glen Haven is in a lovely little neighborhood, a super easy walk to the town center and to the marina area. We felt so safe and welcome both in Ballycastle and at Glen Haven, we are already planning another visit! We opted for breakfast one morning and it was excellent - piping hot, fluffy scrambled eggs with crisp toast and delicious sausage. It was the perfect send off for a day on Rathlin Island - Irene even dropped us off at the ferry! It was tough to depart Ballycastle and Glen Haven, but we are so happy that we have discovered them!

Our stay was perfect - we will never stay anywhere else when visiting Ballycastle in the future!
