Our junior suite was comfortable and spacious with a complimentary mini bar (wine, lager, water diet Pepsi and sour cream pretzels). The coffee machine with regular and decaf coffee pods was super. Elemis toiletries added a touch of luxury to the very large bathroom. The bath was enormous! Breakfast had a good selection and the staff were lovely.

Mobile phones in the leisure club pool area. I do not want to be filmed in my swimwear and streamed live on the internet. The heated beds were reserved with towels and mobile phones when there are signs stating do not reserve with these items. I did inform the spa reception about this and they just shrugged their shoulders. We had a lovely stay, but sadly we were unable to use the full leisure facilities (sauna, steam room , heated beds and jacuzzi) due to the amount of people packed in there.

The hotel was stunning including the grounds, facilities were fantastic, room was as expected and clean in the room, modern and everything worked as expected, nice few little extras thrown in, staff were generally lovely.

It's minor but the kids high chairs were pretty dirty, they are hard to keep clean and they are probably barely used at this venue as you can tell even though they are family friendly it doesn't cater for kids and that's fine but you'd expect them to be spotless on that basis. It was really busy which is great but stood around trying to order food for quite some time and there was some confusion over the costs for the kids stuff but the member of staff Keenan was exceptional at sorting that out.

It was great that pets were able to stay - we didn’t know whether to bring the dog but it was really pet friendly and the rooms were clean and you would not have known that dogs had been staying. The grounds also were really good which was nice. Breakfast was great - plenty of selection and also that there was an area where dogs could also remain with you so no one had to stay with the dog elsewhere. Pool was good. Everything we needed was available for our stay.

Although we had booked for four people the room was only set up for 2 - Reception were very good in arranging extras but every day we were short of items even though for example 4 towels were removed. It wasn’t major and easily corrected but it made me feel like I was being annoying. Otherwise everything was great.

We requested some different pillows as ours were feather and we just don’t like feather, but bless Deb, she ran round the hotel looking for non feather pillows for us and by god did she deliver. We got brand new pillows which were absolutely perfect! Honestly, Deb really did go above and beyond to make sure we had what we wanted/needed. She is an absolute credit to you. I also cannot fault the reception staff, waiters/waitresses and the spa facility staff. We had such a great stay overall and we would 100% be recommending and returning!

The beds were quite hard and the doors could do with a soft close on them as they’re really quite loud when people just let them slam, which does wake you up. I also did notice quite a few cobwebs in reflection when the lamp was on, but I’m being really picky now. I would give you guys a solid 8/10 for our whole combined stay which for the money we paid, was absolutely superb.

Fantastic hotel for families with children & dogs, which those of you who are travelling with both know that is hard to find. Swimming, steam room & sauna are great for children & adults alike. Good hot & cold buffet breakfast. Breakfast is always busy, but exceptionally well managed. All staff members we encountered were helpful, courteous & easy to find. This is our 2nd stay in 2 months & one of the few places we will return to again & again.

Children stay for free in this hotel, but it would be nice for cups/toiletries/towels to represent the number of people staying in the room, not just the paying guests. However, never an issue to get these extras to the room, I just wished it would be more standardised so we don't have to.

the food was excellent and the accommodation was excellent

The birthday surprise for my husband was a bucket of beer that wasn't in our room on arrival which was paid for. went to reception and they apologised but it was another hour and a half later and had to go back down to reception to see where it was,saw the same lady and she got on it straight away. after another 40 mins the lad arrive with a bucket of ice no beer,so I asked him , chasing him down the corridor he said he would bring it up ,another 20 mins later went to reception again to see where it was, eventually we got it he came behind me so i took it off him and took it myself to our room. but my hubby knew about is spoilt surprise by then!

Breakfast was fantastic, very good selection & food always topped up. Hospitality staff where excellent on the breakfast shifts Spa team very pleasant

The lounge bar menu too expensive for basic food ie cesar salad, pizza etc When serving food in lounge cutlery should be given before being served your meal & condiments As we had to wait awhile for these therefore our meals where getting cold Afternoon tea again over priced as very basic Needs to be more fancy/exciting. Spa File & polish over priced. For £34 should be a proper manicure & polish

Breakfast staff were busy but very helpful.

I found the breakfast cooked food rather disappointing. Sausage and bacon rather tasteless they had been previously cooked many hours before I was eating them at 8.30. Cooked tomatoes a bit oily. Sausages were meant to be butchers but they were mass produced and I suspect previously frozen. No self respecting butcher would put his name to them. Bacon was meant to be crispy streaky but it was not streaky bacon. Tomatoes rather oily for my taste. Had stayed the night before at a Premier Inn where the eggs had been cooked to order - much more tasty.

We loved our stay in the Forest Pines Hotel Upon entering the hotel we noted very clear signage everywhere about registering your number plate which was good as I'm a forgetful person! This was our first time staying at this hotel and as we walked through the entrance we encountered a lovely floral aroma and thought the Christmas trees and decorations were beautiful that it gave the feeling of luxury. The hotel toilets were immaculate smelt good and had luxury hand wash and hand cream available. The staff at breakfast were the best I have ever experienced staying in a hotel. The lady on the front of house in the restaurant was instantly welcoming, smiley went out of her way to help us as I had two children and our family dog. She helped my daughters choose what they would like to eat whilst I waited with our dog at the table. She brought orange juice to our table, and was absolutely lovely. I was also approached by another helpful restaurant staff member whilst trying to work out how to use the coffee machine, she asked me if I was ok? And again went through all the coffee options available really taking the time to ensure I was served well. Really fantastic staff in this area. We stayed in a deluxe twin room 1 adult 2 older children and the dog. The room was clean, spacious and the beds comfy. A large TV screen and a good amount of coffee milk sugar and biscuits. The bathroom looked quite newly refurbished and the shower was powerful and hot. The staff in the swimming pool and spa reception were all very good friendly and professional. If they saw you waiting they immediately acknowledged you and asked how they could help even of it wasn't their department. Again excellent service here. The pool, hot tub, steam room and in particular changing rooms and poolside toilets were absolutely immaculate and again felt very luxury.

We stayed in room 17 and our only gripe was that it felt far too hot. Even after turning the radiator off and opening windows our room.seemed hot and it stopped us having a good night's sleep. I also thought it slightly unfair to not allow check in until 3pm but insist checking out is at 11am. I would prefer to have been able to check in earlier
