Settle down, this could be a long session. Location perfect for what we wanted, a holiday stay in Dorset. Reception and welcome very friendly and efficient. Lift, corridors and walk to room, spotless and very modern. Room, same, no problem, comfy, aircon, comfy bed, decent tasting tea bags, tele that worked. Only small point was lack of USB charging points, but having been caught out before,we always carry plug in ones, so no worry. Quiet, even when full football team booked in for the night. Relaxing session in the bar where we liked to dine, staff, now is the best bit of the review, staff are unreal, good to the point of are they for real? Attentive, genuinely friendly, helpful, from taking the order, the chef coming out to see if it was OK. Same again at breakfast, even when quiet, sitting and having a chat, answering our questions about tourist things as they are all locals. The "twins" that did the rooms, what a pair they are, top rate. All the staff and guests looked after by an absolutely barking mad manager, who could not do enough for his guests or his staff. We were there just over a week and it felt like we had stayed with old friends. A bit difficult to put into words just how pleasant and interesting and different the stay was, all down to the people!!

Yeovil, don't go there!!

The staff throught the hotel were friendly and approachable . Evening dinner was superb..the Chef came to discuss the menu with us beforehand and suggested dishes we may like...described the kitchen garden and invited us to see it. Large dining room..tables laid with white damask cloths and crystal clear glasses! Super! Breakfast was again superb with Sienna our waitress looking after us beautifully. The bedrooms were large and and the beds very comfortable We were provided with tea and coffee and a great selection of soaps shampoo showergel etc! Also a complimemtary bottle of water.! We were a family group of 6 ..and all of us agreed that we had found a brilliant hotel for the night.I still haven'nt mentioned Stephen the owner / manager of this independent hotel who was so welcoming and attentive to our needs..a lovely warm chap who set the standard for the whole hotel! A great place to stay!

I can't think of a single thing I didn't like!

The bedroom was comfortable warm, was clean.

I ordered a bar meal, home made bread rolls, appeared to have reheated, they were as hard as concrete, so disappointing, although i tried to eat the rolls, it was impossible, they were sent back to the kitchen. Although i was offered others, I declined. I don't believe my teeth could handle a second 'Go' . I shall no doubt use the facilities again, but refrain from eating in the bar or restraunt. Also my final bill included having to pay for the brick hard rolls. Not good customer care!!

I only stayed one night for an event, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was really good and plenty of choice. However, the staff went above and beyond when I realised I had lost my necklace in my room which was of great sentimental value to me, I didn't realize until I got home. As soon as I informed the hotel, they were quick to respond and searched the room twice! and to my relief they found it and it was safely returned to me. I would have no hesitation in staying there again or recommending it.

The only thing, that let this hotel down was the view from the windows, the hotel is set in lovely countryside but surrounded by other commercial buildings, the hotel could be vastly improved if more landscaping was done, especially at the front of the hotel entrance and carpark.

Room was a good size and furnished well. Plenty of storage space, beds comfortable. Good bathroom with shower and bath. Breakfast was cooked to order, also a selection of cereals, yoghurts, pastries and preserves. The room was quiet. Plenty of car parking. Staff pleasant and helpful.

The breakfast was a little confusing as no menu supplied, so had to be explained by the waitress. Might help the staff if it gets busy, to have a printed menu. You have to get in the car visit a nearby pub as none within walking distance.

Breakfast was excellent - you could have anything specially cooked for you. The Continental type breakfast was out ready. Tea and coffee and toast served at your table. Dinner was excellent - steak freshly bought in from a local farm. Room was very clean, bed very comfortable. Bathroom facilities all there.

Front garden of the hotel looked a bit untidy - could have looked better. A poor appearance when you arrived which was a shame because once in the hotel everything was fine.

Once inside. It was incredible. Couldn't ask for more. Staff were very friendly but professional Breakfast perfect ased for some changes no problem

Only thing that I would change is a bit more lighting on the sign into the carpark. The carpark could do with being landscaped to hide the clay pigeon sheds and such like. Maybe a lick of paint on stonework just to brighten up the front to match the fantastic inside. Would of been nice to of got a call back from the spa. Not the hotel fault but spa lost out.

The option to have a room with a bath or shower is an excellent idea. We loved our room with the shower option. The staff were friendly and attentive We had a meal at the hotel which we enjoyed. Having a bar for a pre dinner drink was great.

Only one negative and this is a personal opinion. When we arrived I looked at the car park and thought had I booked the right hotel.! Concrete bollards just did not look good.

Rooms spacious and comfortable. We were visiting family and didn't use facilities. Well cooked buffet breakfast with good choice. One of us is a coeliac and our waitress was very knowledgeable giving us confidence.

Not an issue for us but the carpark has a very unloved appearance and doesn't do the actual hotel justice. Some basic landscaping and tarmacing would make such a difference. May put the casual arrival off.
