SPA Kids in pool Whole spa area should be much bigger for amount of people visiting it. Would be great if spa would be kids free because it makes it feel as your local town leisure centre. In pool at the decorative waterfall silicone makes it look cheap. It’s more as a wedding venue than a spa. My first and last time there

great location and views of the sea. The bed and the linens were exceptional.

There was a sewage smell when the toilet was flushed. Our view was over the garbage collection point for the entire hotel (for over £400!). There was no bottled water provided. Check out of 11:00 feels early; we did not have an option for a late checkout. breakfast ending at 10:00 felt too early to close too. I used the spa for a massage. The massage bed heater was broken. The lounge chair I sat down on in the relaxation room was broken (the recliner remote did not work). The lighting in the makeup and hair drying area was too poor to do makeup. I had to do my makeup in the car. there were no Q-tips or cotton balls provided.

The hotel looks stunning from outside and the location is great right by the sea. The staff were all lovely and check in and out was quick with no problem that we were there over an hour early for their requested check in time. We were allowed to check in before 2pm instead of 3pm. So we were in our room by 2pm. It has a very relaxed atmosphere

There was no entertainment on the weekend we stayed. I think even piano music in the background would have been nice. We didn't like that it was a dog friendly hotel as I think it took away from the fact that it's a highly rated hotel and people have usually paid big money to stay . We have stayed before when dogs were not permitted and it was much better as not everyone are dog lovers and you don't expect to see dogs on leads inside a hotel . Having said that we did have a lovely stay and will diffinitally be back . Everything else was great and staff very helpful and friendly

Excellent Location, gorgeous food, very welcoming professional friendly staff special mention to Lorna who ensured our stay was perfect for my birthday spa retreat gift. Connor, Neil and the staff who greeted us every morning for breakfast a breath of fresh air each day!. The special touch of a golf buggy ride to Percy French for diner also excellent food and service.. was a nice touch as my sister’s mobility was limited. This was my second visit in two weeks.. can’t wait to return again!

Very visible crack in the door glass in the entrance an effect on first impression needs repaired as it does not reflect the total beautifully decorated Christmas trees and spa breath taking! Could do with an up to date outdoor area added on to help keep with younger generation trends and our new way of living after the pandemic!.. similar to the Galgorm Group as this hotel certainly gives them a run for their money with an excellent location and excellent customer service!

This was a presant for my daughters boyfriend for his 21st birthday

As we have a 2 hour drive to the hotel we like to get as much time I the spa as we can ,I always was aloud to come down at 1pm and use the spa ,they wouldn't let my daughter and boyfriend in at 1.45pm until they had checked in ,which is a disgrace, I would like feedback on this matter as my husband is bringing myself down on 19th Dec for my 50th and if it's like this I'll be looking my money back

It was my husband's birthday and the staff went out of their way to make him feel special. All the staff at the hotel were lovely and welcoming, even the waiters in the bar were keen to chat with us and give us recommendations for things to do during our stay. The pool and spa facilities were great. We enjoyed playing snooker and pool. The fact that you can go right out front for a dip in the sea was perfect for my husband. Overall, the facilities are great, with the town within a few mins. walking distance.

We stayed Thur-Sat and the breakfast buffet was chaotic on Sat. morning. Too many people showed up at the same time around 9:30, so there were not enough tables and the buffet was out of food, which was slow to be replaced but eventually was. Also, some people wouldn't care about this, but there wasn't a single green vegetable on the buffet either morning, which I found difficult as I don't really eat many carbs. Some healthier options would be nice.

Full of old world glamour and sophistication, Slieve Donard is amazingly, also dog friendly! The staff were polite and friendly without being intrusive and the service was excellent. Ruby our spaniel became a firm favourite in the bar ( think country club vibe) where she was spoilt rotten, and whilst she wasn't allowed in the dining room dog friendly tables were set up in the bar next door for the very good breakfast service. The spa was relaxed and well equipped. Rooms were well appointed with coffee and a small fridge ours was big enough for various side tables and a sofa the ensuite shower pressure was excellent with dressing gowns and slippers provided along with floris toiletries and I mention the view?......we will definitely return.

Nothing although the portrait of Rory McIlory in the bathroom was a little disconcerting.......!

Absolutely beautiful building, inside and out. Great breakfast buffet. Lovely afternoon tea. The staff went out of their way to help us celebrate our Anniversary and my wife's birthday.

Not enough loungers in the Spa when we arrived. All of the drawers in our room were glued shut, even in our bedside cabinet, so the only storage for clothes etc. was one shared wardrobe with hangers and a high shelf. Unusual to have no usable drawer space. Website promised live music (presumably a pianist?) during Saturday afternoon tea, but it didn't happen. We felt the background music in the hotel was not always fitting to the surroundings. We had guests with us for dinner in the restaurant but felt the service was quite slow and the food did not have "the WOW factor" we expected for the price.

I have stayed here a number of times over the years but this time we brought our 2 dogs. We were welcomed and although the residents all loved our dogs some of the staff were not as welcoming. However, the hotel is beautiful, our room was large and spacious however the bed was very high and if you are small may struggle to get on it! There was a wedding on while we were they and unfortunately the noise went on until the early hours however we didn’t mind as we stayed up quite late. Breakfast was lovely, very fresh and great options for room service.

We didn’t feel overly at home with our very well behaved dogs however we would return on our own.

Beautiful location, amazing decore,very relaxed atmosphere throughout the hotel. Staff were friendly, polite and very welcome arm and welcoming. Have stayed before and always thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Slieve. The spa is amazing.

Have stayed before and always satisfied with my standard room, bright,airy and extremely practical. This time I paid extra for a superior room and was very very disappointed. £298 per night.Although beautifully decorated, it was not at all practical. No bath!! No towel rails for damp towels. No proper shelving in the bathroom to hold all ladies toiletries,make up etc. But also no vanity desk, stool or makeup mirrors in the bedroom to apply make up either.Just a very slim wardrobe mirror. With the very dark decore the lighting in the bedroom was terrible. Makeup was applied sitting on the windowsill using my very small compact mirror. The regular rooms have much more amenities and well worth the lower price.
