The views from the balcony are lovely and having the balcony makes it feel more like a proper holiday! The bed was so comfy and the bathroom was very clean and of a good size. Lots of nice walks around the area and although the hotel is not within walking distance ( unless you want to climb back up the hills) it’s not to bad as it’s very quiet at night.
The location is quite a challenge for some cars it’s very hilly. Sowerby bridge has less to offer than Hebden bridge about 10-15mins away, we couldn’t find anywhere to sit in and eat other than one Indian restaurant and a Wetherspoons everywhere else was a takeaway.

There's no messing at reception to check in. Each room has it's own Key safe and on the day you check in. you receive a text message with the code for the key and instructions. There's nowhere near to eat or buy food but you get a bottle of water and porridge and a bun each morning. There's everything for a brew and the room was super cosy. The bathroom was absolutely great, size, shower and lovely thick towels. The views are great too.
The distance to civilisation, the steep hills to navigate if your sat nav takes you the locals way instead of the main road. I was crying at the top if a hill where I was to turn left. It was very dark and I stopped to give way.... the hill was so steep that when I tried to continue the car star6to roll back down the hill, my feet hlued themselves to to the clutch and the brake. It was terrifying and not one MAN would stop to help, my passenger managed to get help from TWO WOMEN... Both true angels from the area and not only did they help me, one of them had us follow her and she went out of her way to take us to our hotel. the long way round. Fir which we are both extremely grateful.

Warm comfortable and very inviting. The furniture was good quality with plenty of storage and as I had booked 4 rooms for a group of 4 females we appreciated the fact we were in a long line with just a room between us. The rainfall shower was fabulous. Lots of piping hot water and the towels were lovely and soft. Breakfast is not available on the premises but there were more than adequate tea and coffee provided and also a pain au chocolates and a tub of porridge per person and also two bottles of water which were very welcomed. This was a lovely venue for outlet girly do. Many many thanks.
Nothing.

I liked that the check-in was completely hassle free. Just simply had to follow the instructions texted to myself which told me the code for the key box outside our room and that was it! The room was spacious, the shower was lovely and I liked the little touches for breakfast which included x2 porridge pots, x2 croissants and a mixture of teas, coffee etc.
The only thing I would have liked would have been a hairdryer in the room. But I knew there wasn’t one before booking so I brought my own, but it’s just nice to not have to carry that round in a heavy bag. Other than that, it was great!

Great location, free parking and excellent value for money. Went to two gigs at the Piece Hall. Walked into Sowerby Bridge and got the train there, then taxi back. Rooms are well equipped and really clean. Great communication and easy check in. Comfy beds and lovely views and a peaceful stay.
Only one slight groan as it said to ask if you wanted your room servicing during your stay. We didn't, but while.we were out on the first day, house-keeping went in and made the bed, refreshed a few things etc. Not the end of the world but a do not disturb sign might be helpful for those who want to go out but avoid this. Also the balcony was lovely but as the only window/option to get air in, something to peg the door would have been useful. When windy, the door kept blowing open and banging

Very cosy and comfortable stay, we were visiting for a nearby wedding and had a lovely 2 nights here. Great room with a big comfy bed, nice bathroom, and good amenities. Cheaper than lots of other places nearby, and good value for what we paid. We liked the easy key pickup process, and the nice touches of tea, coffee, porridge and pastries on arrival in the room. The fridge provided was a very good touch. The little balcony was also nice, although we didn't really use it due to the weather. Overall we'd recommend this place, and would stay again!
The shower pressure was a bit rubbish as is to be expected in older buildings. There also wasn't a hairdryer provided, and the iron leaked a bit when using.

The staff could not do enough to help. I would highly recommend this for any travelers. Easily as good as some large chain hotels. it's a real shame the restaurant was unavailable but I beleive this is due to refurbishment. I will.use again when in the area which is equally beautiful.. would give 11/10 if possible!! would have stayed another night if it wasn't fully booked!...
Nothing, although a less able bodied person would need access to transport due to the large hill where the.premises are located at top of.and I do also think 10 am check out is a little early and 4pm check in a little late. but this is minor.

I’ve stayed here a couple of times, and for good reason. The location is stunning, the view of the town is gorgeous, especially at night. The rooms are a decent size as are the bathrooms, and the bed is so comfy, I need those pillows! I sleep so well here. The self check-in rooms are so convenient and easy to come and go as you please as there’s ample parking. Perfect location if you want to go exploring in the nearby towns, but you won’t regret coming back here after a long day! I would also recommend the Willow Tree Cafe for brunch/Lunch which is a short drive down in Sowerby Bridge.

Great base for Sowerby Bridge and surrounding area. Mini fridge in room Nice shower Room to hang clothes Decent WiFi Room was a good temperature, was there during the recent snow and worked virtually, so was in room all day. Was comfortable enough. Housekeeper is super friendly I stayed for 4 nights and it was very comfortable.
The only slight annoyance was that the walls are a little thin, I could hear the man next door having a conversation on the phone. But I was impressed with the value for money overall
