A bit unimpressive from the outside, but really a nice place inside. The room was good, and there is a lounge with beautiful views and a table for all people for breakfast and (if you like) dinner. Breakfast was fabulous, with all choices you can imagine. It's nice to meet the other guests there. You can order dinner, and Helen makes a fantastic meal. Situated a bit outside Stornoway, so you need a car to get anywhere from here. Very quiet place.

Helen, our hostess, was lovely and very accommodating. We had a large bedroom with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was compact but had everything we needed. We had views across the moors which were lovely. The breakfasts were great. And, bless her, she gave us freshly baked cup cakes in the morning which we ate on the ferry.

Nothing to do with Helen or the accommodation but if you are around on Sundays or Mondays, it is difficult to find restaurants open. So BOOK. Don't expect 5 * meals either but the food is ok. We went to the same restaurant for each night as it was the only one that seemed to be open and we had to eat at 5.30 on the first night as they were booked solid. Otherwise, Helen offers evening meals. And I hear they are good !! We were not impressed by Stornoway but ... go to the Castle as the museum is exceptional !!!

Great location just outside of Stornoway. Easy place to use as a base for exploring the Isle of Lewis and Harris. We had a triple and the room and bathroom were spacious enough that we didn't feel cramped while all of us were in the room. Breakfast was great and super filling! Helen was great from the time we arrived, she was super helpful in suggesting places to see. She even made sure to pack us sandwiches before our ferry ride back to Ullapool since we were going to miss breakfast. If you are lucky enough to find availability here, book it, you won't regret it!

Breakfast was absolutely amazing. The best sausages, bacon and delicious Stornaway black pudding. There was also a huge fruit salad to share and yummy croissants.The best breakfast we have ever had.Helen the host was so helpful, knowledgeable about where to visit and so kind. 5 stars in my opinion ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We could not fault anything at Lathamor.Everything exceeded our expectations.

Extremely comfortable twin room with sea view and lambs playing in the field opposite! Handy for Stornoway and roads to Ness etc. Spacious dedicated bathroom with lovely deep tub and shower. Owner could not have been more helpful, and if you opt for an evening meal, she is an excellent cook.

Only advice I'd give would be level up the surface car parking space with the road as the lip was a bit anxiety making in a hired car on a hill...

The house was lovely, and our hostess was just wonderful. She had to leave early on the day we were departing, and very kindly got her sister and niece to arrange breakfast for us, which was amazing. Enjoyed staying here.

Our (private) bathroom was across the corridor - it wasn’t really a problem, but we prefer the bathroom to be attached to our room for those nighttime visits.

Property was homely and comfortable and the host Helen couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. Room was clean, tidy and beds comfortable and felt relaxed throughout our stay. Breakfast was amazing with great choice and absolutely lovely.

Excellent B&B. Good room with a view. Great breakfast. Good wifi. What really stands out is the availability of a home-cooked gourmet meal and we chose to eat here all 3 nights. The location is just on the edge of Stornaway, and parking is easy.

Nice B&B, all that you need you will have. The host Helen is supportive and super friendly. Some rooms have an ocean/harbour view. The living room is superb, furnished in style. The fireplace and large window with sea view. The bathroom is external, very spacious with shower and separate bath. The house's internal decor is modern with an old fashioned scent. Suburb of Stornoway, 5 min drive to center, plenty of parking are good. You can see highland cattle nearby or deer in a field if lucky. Pet friendly.

The main bathroom lock needs to be fixed, or I didn't get how to lock it 😂 It would be nice to have a small sitting area outside and awning/portico. All the rest is fantastic

The host was extremely kind and helpful, giving us information on driving times and ferries, as well as places to eat in town. Breakfast was wonderful. We also paid to have dinner at the property one evening- it was one of the best meals we had during our trip to Scotland! The large dining table enabled us to eat with other patrons and we really enjoyed the experience!
