Great food served by lovely staff. Room very clean, with a comfy bed and a nice big bathroom. Very, very dog friendly - dog towels freely available, sausages for the dog at breakfast. Excellent location - a few miles from the main road taking you across the bottom of the North York Moors National Park, with lots of beautiful old towns nearby. Quiet little moors village with lots of history and sheep roaming freely around. Walking my dog in the morning, I chatted with two really nice locals and saw loads of animals - bulls, horses, sheep (everywhere), squirrels and what I think were alpacas.

Room felt a tiny bit small, maybe because floor space had to include our dog bed. Room looked onto tables at the side, which could be a bit noisy if you had a small child who needed to sleep on a summer evening. None of this is a deal breaker though, as it was great value for money and everyone made you feel welcome.

The Moors Inn is a lovely place, in a very nice village and surrounding area. The staff were all very helpful and friendly also attentive. The pub was clean and welcoming, a lively friendly bar with a good atmosphere. The food we had was excellent and very reasonably priced. We would stay again and eat there again, but ask for a different room, see the comments below.

We were in a room above the bar which was no problem at all for the noise, it was not unduly noisy but a pleasant background hum really. The only little problem was that the shower door did not open really far enough for either my husband or myself to get comfortably into the shower, the shower itself was hot and powerful, a bonus. We are not small people but not enormous either, I don’t think the problem could have been resolved so we did not mention it. But worth asking about a different room if you are on the larger build size!

Excellent service from all staff, owner very engaging and on hand. Location great. Value for money on food and drinks, food quality excellent.

Although we knew it was a dog friendly hotel if we asked for a quiet room it wasn’t quite at 6.00am when the dogs next door where bounding around the room and the owner banged his door on taking them out to toilet. Based on that we wouldn’t return, if rooms allocate to owners and pets it would have been better. However my daughter has a dog and would recommend.

Lovely pub with good beer, excellent food and great staff. We stayed in the twin room at the back of the pub so it was pretty quiet (there are other rooms over the bar which would be noisy until closing time). The quality of the food was a pleasant surprise - definitely a step above normal pub food. Room was clean and comfortable.

The only improvement I can think of is to sort out the external door leading from the car park to the rooms - it's not easy to close - so as a result, everyone seems to resort to slamming it shut - to the extent that the building shakes! However this is a small detail and we really enjoyed our stay - would happily stay again.

Cosy pub, room decor lovely, clean and well presented. Tea, coffee and water in room. Toiletries in en suite, lots of hot water and radiators working appropriately. Free WiFi. Plenty of choice for breakfast and very filling. Restaurant served delicious homemade meals, well priced. All staff at the Moors Inn were very friendly and attentive. Stunning area, good for walking. Friendly village residents.

There was nothing at all to dislike. The only thing was the very noisy shower when in use. But this will not stop us from returning to this lovely Inn.

The Moors Inn staff were brilliant! They were very welcoming and so cheerful, friendly and helpful. We stayed four nights and, without exception, the food was excellent - very well prepared and presented using local produce. There was a nice selection of beers as well! In some places, dogs are tolerated, but The Moors Inn welcomes them and they are so well provided for - water bowls, treats and a big garden to play in.

The room was a bit small, and consequently there was nowhere comfortable to sit. However, it is an old building converted to hotel accommodation, so small rooms shouldn't be a surprise. The excellence of the staff, the food, the beer and the dog friendliness more than made up for it.

Food was great and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Bathroom was a bit tired and the shower was abysmal, very low water pressure. However, one of the staff did say that our bathroom was due for a makeover in the near future and there was a mains water leak just up the road which perhaps also contributed to the low pressure. Despite this, it wouldn't put me off returning or recommending the hotel.

Rooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was excellent.

Showers in the some of the rooms were in need of an update. On returning to our accommodation from our night out we asked if we could order some drinks as there were people still in the bar area, we were told this wasn’t possible. I think it would have been a nice gesture to let us have one drink, especially as we were occupying 6 rooms and had also eaten there for lunch earlier in the day.

Everything! The location is stunning. The welcoming, accommodating & helpful staff. Really friendly, chatty locals. Immaculate bedroom, comfortable bed, lovely fluffy towels, great shower. The food is amazing, their chef is exceptional, offering great choices for dinner & breakfast. You can go "off menu" & they are more than happy to oblige. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for the staff here, they're fantastic. The choice of drinks in the bar is excellent & they have a very good wine list at really reasonable prices. I would recommend The Moors Inn as a great place to stay & will definitely visit again.

Nothing! There is nothing negative to say about the Moors Inn.

The room was beautifully decorated, the bed was comfortable and the food was excellent. There is a nice garden with magnificent view.

The shower was very small! However it worked well with good pressure. My room was above the bar and very noisy until 11.30 but they had warned me of this and I did book at the last minute. I am sure the other rooms are quiet on the back.
