Lovely person behind the check in desk nice clean room and we enjoyed the swimming pool and the other facilities

Not happy with the price of the food on the evening menu £18.50 for a burger and chips that I think should have been £10 service not very good . Three of us in our party all ordered food the same time and same table number I was served first . I had to ask for cutlery and condiments I finished my meal before my 2 friends had been served when they're food came out the staff were walking around asking people if they had ordered then went to the bar to ask what table when the food arrived no cutlery again asked the waiter he went off somewhere waiting 2/3 minutes decided to get cutlery from a table in the restaurant poor service

The setting was perfect. The hotel appeared to be run down in general. Windows long overdue being replaced, one window didn't shut securely, wooden frame warped with age. Fire doors in all corridors left open! Major fire risk. Staff in the bar didn't apoear to know what they were doing. The best bit was the bed, this alone was worth the price. Reception staff were brilliant. Room service and cleaning staff were faultless. Regular tv channels were inaccessible in the room so tv viewing was limited in my room.

The bed, really had a good couple of nights sleep. Although the food was over priced it was good and served in good time from placing my orders. The reception staff were impeccable.

Breakfast it's self was excellent, hot and main breakfast items replenished regularly. Not enough seating for the amount of customers. Perhaps a booking time would help so everyone didn't turn up at peak times, or perhaps set up a conference room for overspill customers.

As Customers were using the bar area for breakfast, a seating area where people could move away from their restaurant table to sit have a coffee and chat, may have also helped with the volume at breakfast. There were two extra coaches arrived that should have been going to another hotel, this meant there were five coaches arrived at the same time an check in was chaos, with non coach bookings getting caught up in the mayhem. Perhaps their should be set times for coaches to arrive to give a better customer experience.

Hotel was spotlessly clean. The grounds are lovely to walk around. There was plenty of parking. Breakfast was brilliant. Food was hot and a great selection from full English breakfast, to continental, yogurts and juices. Special mention for BRUNO. I was originally allocated room 42 which didn't work out very well as there were a number of issues with it and the location. I spoke to Bruno at Reception the following morning and he swiftly moved me to 217, a free upgrade to a Privilege room. I had a great night's sleep once moved and thanked him for his help.

Apart from my original room allocation (42) nothing. It's a lovely hotel and a great location for exploring the local area.

We planned to spend the morning at the market and decided to book the hotel to save travelling twice in one day. Lovely greetings on arrival, surrounding beautiful. Room very spacious and inviting. Lovely and quiet, no kids running around upstairs! Superb price for a late booking. Awesome turkish just a short drive away.

So we got a walk in shower room which was just amazing, just a shame we couldn't get in as the water was scalding hot, on every setting. (Room 102) Breakfast was a huge choice but sadly hot food was just warm. The bed was hugggeee but sadly felt every spring :( I had high hopes for that bed when I clapped eyes on it..

Lovely and clean, nice pool, clean room comfortable beds

Told because I booked with booking.com,I had to pay for pool, understand you have to pay for treatments but hotel pool is part of the facilities cost £20 for two so bumped up price.don’t advertise hotel with pool photos etc,it is either and hotel with pool.or a spa with pool and treatments.if booking.com drop off pool fees to make it cheaper and the you pay at hotel would be better off booking with someone that includes pool slightly dearer.you are artificially making your prices look cheaper.other companies a little dearer but includes facilities very naughty and will check in future

It was a lovely setting. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and service was excellent. We enjoyed all of our meals, especially breakfast, and there was a lovely atmosphere in the dining room. The rooms were spacious and equipped with all facilities, including a good wi-fi connection. The swimming pool was lovely and warm and easy to access for an old grandma and an under 2 year old - the separate changing room for the baby was appreciated. We had a very comfortable stay and will stay again.

Whilst we appreciate that the swimming pool and spa facilities are probably separate from the hotel, the charge of £10 per adult each day were rather steep, considering that we spent less than an hour each time in the pool with my grand-daughter.

The location is beautiful, an old country house, used mainly as a wedding venue, set in lovely grounds of lawned areas, woods and a river. Very quiet, isolated location, the rooms are based in and around a more modern building, also with a bar and restaurant, and annexes for accommodation as well. We stayed in one of the annex rooms, as we had dogs with us. We had drinks in the courtyard, which was very pleasant, and a meal in the nice restaurant. All the staff were helpful and polite, despite there being a lot of guests that weekend. The parking is readily available, and dogs are allowed in the grounds and some of the inside areas. The room was perfectly adequate, if a little tired; the wooden windows are beginning to show their age! The food was tasty and nicely cooked and presented, but from a limited menu. Breakfast was a very busy time, to be expected, and the food was plentiful and with lots of choices. A very nice stay.

The location is lovely and always treated well.

It’s some where that we love to go as it’s just up the road but feels a million miles away and is great to just relax, unfortunately this time we have noticed that there is an extra £10 charge per person for the pool etc so we didn’t go as that’s putting an extra cost on our stay. It’s not the money but the way they have changed it without really telling you unless you read the bumf and if you’re like us and stay quite a lot you don’t check that. Apart from that it’s a lovely place but don’t know as we will go there again for this reason, there are other hotel spas local to us we can use without an extra charge.

Location is amazing as well as the building itself, it's a beautiful old mansion surrounded by the forests and fields. We were well looked after their reception staff, a lady called Lena even brought us all the way to the room since we were travelling with a baby and it was quite dark. They were very accommodating when it came to meals as well and were able to feed us even though the restaurant was closing. The room itself was large and comfortable. The leisure center got a nice sauna / steam room and a swimming pool, where you can take even very young babies at certain times.

It's a short drive from the nearest town, so if you arrive late the only food option is their onsite restaurant. Also, it's not clear that the leisure center entry is not included as it was stated in a brochure in our room.
