Close to town. The random black bear that wandered past!!! , priceless. Staff helpful. Very comfortable space when it rained
Floor boards squeaky big time but what can you expect from an old building that has survived here , just added to the experience

great location, beautiful apartment and easy to walk to lots of nice cafes and restaurants. quiet :)
loved the property. arrived at 2 am and there is another door with a lock box (for a coffee house). did not see the Sauerdough Lodge door :( — it was late and we were tired. suggest sign pointing to it since same address.

Central downturn location and coffee shop adjacent was excellent. Jack the barrista was very helpful .
The 4.00pm entry was not communicated and far too late for guests arriving on the train. Then hassles gaining entry to the room with the code. It was impossible to contact the owners as our mobile not on US network but Jack at Sea Bean contacted the housekeeper who was helpful.

The location was right in the heart of the historic district. The full kitchen saved us a fortune on food, and the bathroom was pristine. Finding an apartment for a family of 5 in Seward was amazing, but the futon for 2 sleepers only works for kids. My husband arrived early and met the friendly cleaning team who were able to answer some questions.
The carpet in the dining area needs to be replaced. Everything else is spotless, so the carpet is glaringly awful. The kitchen didn’t have towels or hot pads. I didn’t bother asking for them and just picked up a hot pad at the grocery store.

I loved the diffuser. it was a great touch. And having a clean kitchen was great. The bathroom was great too with hot water and great pressure in the shower. Also really nice to have a desk to do some work at.
morning hangovers are always tough but waking up there softened the blow a bit

loved where it was, just above a bakery diner was . and right downtown. close enough to walk to several places. very helpful workers.
the futon couch was so hard. couldn’t sit there. king sheets are too small, had to replace the bottom sheet every night but I think they were just too small, maybe shrank in the laundry.

Cute little room
The head of the bed was where the head of the bed was in room next door. Sounded like there were mice scratching in the wall all night. Finally had to sleep with head at the foot of the bed .

We rented the Denali suite. Finding the right door to the place was a little difficult (it’s the white door on the right not the red door in the center of the building) but once inside we were delighted. If you wanted a perfect place to hide out from the rest of the world, be close to downtown and the water, have a full kitchen, lovely sitting room, huge comfortable bed and full bathroom, this would be it. We loved the place.
TV was a little hard to figure out but who needs it anyway?

The decor looked original to when the building was built and we were told it was an old brothel.
it could definitely use a deadbolt added to the inside as the only lock was placed 3/4 way up the door and was pretty weak with a pin code. My kids could have pushed it open when locked if they wanted to.

The sunshine suite is really very large, larger than the photos show on-line, with a king bed, two couches, a single bed, a good sized dining table and a full kitchen. It was me, my wife and our 2.5 year old - lots of space to run around!
We wish we had access to a broom and/or vacuum to cleanup each day.
