I liked getting out of the heat of Phoenix and going up to cooler weather, swimming, and playing in Fools Hollow Lake.
Not your fault, but the restaurants nearby weren't great. Not a ton to do in that area. It was too hot to hike, which I imagine is the main thing to do.

Our mattresses were so comfortable - the tv’s were great. The layout of the condo was very comfortable.
The living room furniture not very comfortable. It was kind of hard for us to unload at check in and load our car at checkout. With the way it is set up, I guess there is not any other way.

The room was very spacious and clean, plenty of lighting, the property is very pretty to walk through.
Wish the property had more meal options than just the saloon. Also wish it had more active business and community. Loved our stay except for the ghost town feel.

This was the perfect last stop on our trip. great facilities, including the pool, game room and restaurant and the room was perfect for a family of four. Front desk was friendly and helpful at check in and provided a lot of information on local resources and contacts for the resort. Very happy all around!

The place is so peaceful. The staff is wonderful. Our room was clean and cozy. There are plenty of things to keep the kids entertain. We will certainly come back.

Our stay at Bison ranch was perfect. Very friendly and helpful staff! We had a very clean room and everything was perfect. The room was spacious and perfectly accommodating for our family. Sadly we ended up changing our plans and leaving one night early, but we will definitely be back.

Heber-Overgaard is a friendly, laid back small town. We recommend Wild Women Saloon and Grill [lunch, dinner], June's Cafe [breakfast, lunch] and Three Bears Cafe [breakfast, lunch]. There are wild horses and deer in the forests nearby. Great area for hiking and horseback riding.
The altitude is 6500 feet so drink lots of water and pace yourself for breathing. It is a small town so be prepared that things close down earlier, definitely by 9 PM.
