The hotel location is great, and common area is good. They provide luggage storage even for before and after the check-in/check-out. Although the shower room is small, but I love the smell of the gels.

Had some problem with toilet, the pipe struck and no water came to tank, so cannot flush. Later, it recovered, but it seemed that a lot of stain came out of the pipe. The cold water pipe generate hummer-like noise when open to full. I solved myself to turn the shut-off value to a larger position. I think the stuff need to verify the valve setting regularly and do some regular plumbing maintenance. Not all guests has such engineering capability. The carpet was very dirty, I dropped some water to the carpet, when I used cloth to absorb it, the water become very, very dirty and cloth became black. The Wifi was broken for a whole day.

Everything it was good especial the lady who clean super nice i dont remember her name dilia or something like that she was super nice what i didn't like was the guy in front desk is a white guy whit glasses he try to act like he was the owner i tell him if we can check out a little bet late then 11 and he tell me the most you can is 11:10 he was stuped and plus how it work they let you check in at 4 and check out 11 i understand they have to clean but be more open to check out you should fire the white guy whit glases try to act like the owner or put him to clean and let the old lady cleaning in the front desk but the rest of personal that work right there super nice not dramatic like the white guy whit glasses

Check in time is 4 PM but our room was ready a couple of hours sooner, however we were allowed to leave our bags in a room behind the desk so we could get out and see some sights. We were also allowed to leave our stuff there after we checked out. Hotels in Avalon are old, so rooms tend to be very small by mainland standards. If you are looking for a modern hotel with all amenities, you won't like Catalina so don't bother going. The room was recently updated and had a very comfortable bed. There was a sink in the room and the bathroom had a toilet and shower. The window opened and there was a ceiling fan. There was space to hang clothes with a shelf above. The room also had a mini fridge and coffee maker. The property is within easy walking distance to the beach, Casino, grocery store and all of central Avalon.

I wish the room had a stand to place a suitcase on, or even a chair.

I stayed here before at the 1st floor and I decided to upgrade to sea view this time but for the value i would not choose it again since there are no elevators and have to carry and hike your luggage 4 flight of stairs. I would rather stay on the first floor which to me was the best value and comfort. I paid 2 times the $ only be punished :) with a workout lol. oh, and the room was smaller and the basic room came with fireplace and was larger unlike the upgraded room didn’t.

close to everything! staff all very polite and helpful. very clean and bed very comfortable. it’s nice to stay in a hotel that has some character rather than a chain.

room had balcony with ocean view, which was fantastic, but floor of balcony needs some work. But it didn’t take anything away from my experience.

it may be booking.com’s fault for the ads say that there will be a free continental breakfast but they didn’t offer that and there is not such a space for breakfast. wish they had a microwave oven if its not too much to ask.

The location was very convenient. The lady at the front desk was very nice and welcoming, greeted us with a big smile. She was easy to talk to, my family and I felt very comfortable. The space was clean and well put together.

Wish there were bigger rooms, our room was kind of small, we still slept comfortably though.

We liked the hotel location.

The only problem was that the hotel doesn't have an elevator and I had to carry the stroller and suitcases to go up to the third floor where our room was.

Our stay was wonderful. We got to the hotel a bit too early but we're able to leave our items with the front desk as we explored. This was such a convenience for us . Our room was perfect and clean. Will definitely stay here again.

The room was small but comfortable and cozy. The size worked for my children and me. the location was great, as it was near the market, restaurants and beach.
