Lovely room with excellent beds and bedding. Very quiet location and good sound dampening between rooms. Breakfast and evening reception offerings, but we are usually out and about at those times. Check in was smooth and my request for a quiet ground floor room was already set up. Coffee in room is a canister of ground, which is yummy and much better for the planet than the usual prepackaged individual servings found most hotels.

For tall people the toilet is very very very very low, like mid shin height. Next time I'll see if there is an ADA room with appropriately sized facilities.

The women that keep Grass Valley Suites going are genuinely some of the nicest people I have met. I started my check-in with the worst scenario: leaving my phone in my uber. I was a complete mess, but Kyra did everything to get in touch with the uber driver and helped me put in a missing item report whilst using her work email and even personal phone. Diana’s humor helped ground me till i thankfully was able to get my phone back the same night. Carol is also a sweetheart and oh so kind! Additionally, the room was spacious and clean, and the bed, very comfortable. There is a teeny cat named Teetee that lounges at the front, and also a friendly therapy dog named Precious that you would be oh so lucky to encounter (except that you might get trapped rubbing her belly for quite some time if you lack the willpower to leave…or in my case, lose your phone and can’t be bothered to do much else except wait in the front lounge) So if you are in Grass Valley, i would 100% recommend staying here. There is a personal touch with the staff that you will not get at a chain hotel.

The suite was very large and super comfortable. This is by far the best place I stayed in. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, and it just felt so welcoming. It was 100 degrees outside and when we walked in to our room it was nice and cold. The breakfast was good, and the refreshments and snacks in the evening were great after a long day. I will definitely be back here

There wasn't much that I didn't like. But if you want to cook yourself inside the suites kitchen then you will need to bring your own spices etc. The rooms are very clean except for behind the furniture. I had dropped something behind the nightstand, and it was very dirty and dusty.

The staff was very helpful and thoughtful. We stayed 2 nights. Breakfast was included and I was amazed the staff remembered what I had for breakfast the day before and she asked if I would like the same thing. The dining area and our room are in the same building. They allowed us to use the employee only entrance to get to/from our room to the dining area. By doing this it saved my mom who has limited mobility from walking further than she needed to.

There was a door close to our room to get in/out of the building but I was not able to use that door because it was not ADA accessible. It caused the person who has limited mobility to walk farther than they had to get to/from the room.

Our suite was a one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen - thats helpful when staying more than a day. Bed comfy and bathroom was big. Super short walk into town and restaurants / entertainment.

Walls are thin and the family upstairs had small kids that ran around making it sound like they were going to fall through the ceiling. Parking was a bit of a challenge - one car took up 2 spaces and we had kayaks on top of ours.

It’s a charming property with wonderful staff who go the extra mile to make you feel at home. There are so many little details that put this hotel over the top. We especially enjoyed the park like setting, pool and hot tub, local coffee, art, hot breakfast and happy hour!

The heater was a bit hard to figure out but the front desk helped me.

American style Breakfast was gourmet. Choices were varied. Veggies fresh. Room was immaculate. No fake air freshner smells. Quiet.no street noise. Bed extremely comfy and clean.

It was perfect. Staff knowledgeable, accommodating,immediately responsive. Close to mining points of interest Empire and Northstar. Walking distance to historic grass valley town!

Room was cold when we arrived(it was nighttime and temperature outside had dropped). WE had trouble with the TV and four different people came to the room to fix the problem over the course of 2 days. There were 3 different remotes, so needless to say it was confusing. The staff was very helpful and a great breakfast was served every day(included with the room). Room was adequate size. Did not use the pool. so could not comment.

From the moment we checked in the staff was very nice and greeted us and she was very helpfully. We went to our room and it was so nice and clean, my wife and kids liked bed it. Breakfast and the wonderful lady staff was very kind and we had a great conversation while she made the best omelettes as my daughter and wife’s experience. Overall everything met and exceeded our expectations, we have stayed the the Marriott courtyard but this was more than that for us very nice and we would stay there again.

The neighbor that walked in late at night and was being loud but the eventually settled down and we fell asleep. This was not the hotels staffs fault so we’re not complaining about the hotel because we loved everyone and everything there.

Very close to all the shops and restaurants, the room was large and clean and I appreciated the personal touches. Staff was fantastic, breakfast and wine “mixer” was a fun surprise!

We couldn’t figure out how to turn off the fan with the remote. Our room was connected to another room which was blocked off by a foam mattress lol but behind the door. Also, no one was staying in that particular room so it wasn’t an issue.
