We stayed twice at this hotel--on our way north and on our return south. The staff was very accommodating, going in person to check rooms to see if there was a bathtub which I had requested (it would save them time if they had a chart with that info on it). Our first night was a lovely king room on the 3rd floor, whereas on our return we stayed in a 2-queen room on the ground floor. It wasn't as quite as nice as the king room--there was a large chaise lounge in the king room, but no where to sit except the desk chair in the queen room. Great breakfast. I love the Holiday Inn Express hot cinnamon rolls!

There were ants in our room--we left out a straw with some drink on it on the desk, and it was covered with ants the next morning. Also, there was no hair dryer in this room--we had our own, but obviously no one had checked.

The rooms were new and modern, and very attractive and very comfortable.

The front desk manager male who check me in was not very personable short and bothered. The woman who check me out was very personable. It was nice to have a pool but it was confusing. Is there a bit was a big sign that said it was closed and yet the front desk manager told me it was open and there were no towels. Plus, it was outback with nothing but dirt surrounding it so the ambience was low

We were transitioning from Sequoia to LA and did not want to stay in or around LA. This was the perfect hotel. We were about 1 hour north of LA. It was quiet. It was in the process of being redone, so it was like staying in a brand new hotel. The beds were super comfortable and we found the hotel to more than meet or expectations. The staff was the nicest of our entire trip (8 hotels).

It is near very little. A few restaurants on the exit, but little else. Make sure you are OK with fast food before you get there, or grab something in the larger cities about 40 minutes away.

The interior appeared to be new with stylish looking features and appliances (eg. desk lamp with touch sensitive control and bathroom mirror with built in light) in rooms. The queen size bed was extremely comfortable.

There wasn’t anything to dislike. Patio tables with chairs in the pool area would be a nice addition. Also printed fliers listing nearby restaurants (including hours open & driving distance) placed in rooms and lobby would be appreciated.

Despite the construction going on at the hotel, you could tell they were in the middle of making some amazing improvements. The lobby will be gorgeous when completed and the rooms already had a touch of the renovations with large modern bathrooms and very comfortable beds. Lester at the front desk was very helpful with our late-night check in and the breakfast options for a free breakfast exceeded expectations. Will definitely stay again!

The elevator was a bit rickety and will not go with the new and modern updates.

Our check in was quick and easy. Our room was great- clean, comfy beds and pillows. We got a great night’s rest and a delicious hot (free) breakfast in the morning. What a great way to start the day! Over all it was a great experience and we will for sure be back on our next trip out that way.

The only drawback for us was that the weather did not permit us to spend time at the pool.

This is a very nicely and recently updated hotel. The room was clean and furniture newer. The breakfast was great with lots of options (eggs, sausages, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, pancakes, pastries, etc. etc.). The bed was comfortable. I liked that the air/heater ran on a thermostat. There's not much in Lebec, but it's a nice midway point on a drive we often do.

The room was large and very comfortable.

The fitness center was closed, and there was construction near our room. However, the work was done in the daytime and didn't disturb us. The temperature controls were a little finicky but worked. The large "tax" for the booking service (not the hotel) was a surprise when reserving online. Decor was modern and tasteful, but a little austere for my taste.

Room was awesome. Very quiet and breakfast was a nice touch.

Checking guy was slightly passive aggressive but everyone else was great. Toilet handle was dirty or rusted. Also, the pancake machine at breakfast was super fussy.

Breakfast was one of the best we have had at a chain hotel in the U.S. The breakfast room was beautiful, and there was no television to interrupt the peace of the morning. The bed was very comfortable, too. Everything was very clean and looked new.
