I loved how friendly and welcoming the staff were! I enjoyed the atmosphere and how close it was to walk to the Pike and enjoy Shoreline Village! I loved how clean the hotel was overall!

I didn’t like that parking was $38 a day to park. I believe that’s too expensive on top of everything else in California! Also we had mold on our blankets. There should be some ventilation in the restrooms so when you take a shower the moisture doesn’t build up in the room.

Bed was comfortable and room was quiet. Bathroom was nice. AC was quiet but could have been a bit cooler. We and dinner and breakfast and the food quality was excellent.

Room service was terrible. Food was brought like take-out, in boxes and bag. I was expecting proper plates and trays. For a room with a king size bed, I would expect to have more than one chair. There was no table.

The bed was super comfortable. Shower was nice. Staff was superb, the short ribs were delicious, but didn’t have enough demi-glaze I had to order that separately. Waiters we’re great at the restaurant.

There was very little light in my room. I was disappointed there wasn’t light over the bed. I felt like I was squinting the whole time I was in the room. Also, the bath towels smelled poor. They didn’t smell fresh and clean they smelled like a rancid chemical. I tried all the towels. Carpet should be steam cleaned regularly. But other than that my room was clean.

Unbeatable location. Beautiful lobby. Cool 80s architectural vibe in the lobby despite the 2019 renovation. Cleanliness is excellent. Housekeeping staff is wonderful. West-facing facade of hotel had rooms with excellent view across Ocean Boulevard to LGB harbor. Relaxing stay, comfortable rooms. No real complaints…except for the parking fee (see other half of my review).

$35 parking fee to park in the hotel’s OWN PARKING GARAGE (subterranean). $35!!! I wasn’t visiting a guest of the hotel—I *was* the paying guest. $35 to park a car in a parking lot that the hotel OWNS in order to stay at that same hotel at which I paid more than $200 for a room is outrageous and insulting. It’s akin to the airlines making you pay for a ticket and then also making you pay to check even one bag—a policy absolutely no one likes and that in years past was not a thing. This would have been a 10/10 stay if this $35 parking fee had not been levied.

The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the marina with bars and restaurants. The pool area is good and is open from 5.30-am to 11pm. Overall the hotel has a slightly corporate feel to it, but is very clean and swish.

At check in, I asked for a room lower down than on the 12th floor that we were put in, but was told no, that wasn’t possible. No effort to accommodate my request. The car park is very expensive at $38 per night.

The location near the convention center and restaurants was absolutely wonderful! We loved the lobby and breakfast in the restaurant was exactly what we needed. Healthy, simple, fresh and beautifully presented.

The room was nice, but not clean. We had to ask them to come clean crud out of the bathtub right when we got there and it took housekeeping 30 minutes to come and do that.

Location was a block and a half from the restaurant we were going to for our anniversary dinner. Great location for walking to other bars & restaurants as well. I am a Bonvoy member so we received free breakfast and WiFi. The parking was included and there was no up charge for our little dog. Also we had a nice city view with a peek of the water.

Bathtub had an old school rubber stopper.

Nice big room. Staff was friendly. Great location. Good breakfast close by. If you like soft beds, you will like these.

The pool was quiet dirty and no shower close by. It was clear that hygiene was not a focus. Everybody ate food and then jumped right into the pool. We went by once, did not want to go in, and did not come back. The double bed was not queen but a regular double.

The property location was the best! In walking distance to so much. I walked to the rainbow harbor shops and then to downtown. Everything was so close and easy to get to.

The pool was undergoing maintenance and we never got to use the facilities. The carpets were stained and seemed dirty. Also the pillows were very mushy and made my neck sore.

Our room was quiet. That’s one of the absolute most important things in our hotel stays, quiet. We did not hear any walking, talking, doors closing, or anything else from outside the room. Outstanding.

Our AC didn’t seem to work well. The air coming out felt cold, but the room never got cool. It was a bit warm. It made it difficult to sleep.
