This is a great place to stay when visiting LA. It's a traditional small mansion converted to an Inn, located just off the coast road in Santa Monica. From the moment we arrived the staff were very welcoming and were always friendly and helpful, including getting us taxis when we couldn't get an Uber. The room was a good size, very clean and well furnished. The lounges and breakfast room have traditional features and are very well furnished and very restful. The home cooked breakfast options were delicious. Also, we really enjoyed the complementary afternoon wine, snacks and cheese between 4 and 6 each day. You feel very well looked after here. Highly recommended!

We spent six nights at Channel Road Inn with our small family. Location is awesome as the beach is just few blocks away, the neighbourhood is quiet and Santa Monica downtown is in walking distance. Breakfast was great and varying every morning. Best part of the stay was the STAFF, everyone was really really helpful and friendly.

The Channel Inn is beautiful and tranquil place, they make the best homemade breakfasts and cakes. All the staff were very welcoming and happy to help if we needed anything.

Just a little far from the Pier and shopping area around a 40 minute walk, however this is also a good thing as I wouldn’t want to be too close either as the attractions can be rather loud throughout the day and night.

Attractive spaces and welcoming staff . Delicious breakfasts and afternoon snacks. Decor in shared spaces is bright and inviting.

The jacuzzi tub in room 7 wasn’t fully functional.

Staff and breakfast were very good. Lounge facilities were very nice and the daily afternoon wine and snacks was a lovely feature.

The Wi-Fi was poor, there was no fridge or safe in the room. The air conditioning was building specific so no ability to adjust the room temperature. The shower controls were impossible to understand.

Each morning, a beautiful breakfast was prepared. There was a lovely egg dish plus a pastry -- either a scone, biscotti, cake, etc. -- as well as fruit, yogurt, granola, and toast. The meal was made with love and care, and we enjoyed it very much.

We had a lovely stay. The staff is wonderful. We loved breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese. The location was perfect for us.

The building is an historical home so the facilities like the bathroom fixtures and in-room electrical weren't quite optimum.

Beautiful old house, felt like a bed & breakfast inn. Room was on the third level with trees all around. Very private and decorated nicely. Food was delicious too and has friendly staff. Close to the beach too.

3 stories of stairs which was fine for us but not handicap friendly.

It is a fantastic place. Great location very close to the beach. Lovely building inside and out, very picturesque. Ample on site parking. Nice area with restaurants and bars. Not far to walk to the pier with Venice beach just beyond. The staff were lovely and very very helpful. An all round great place!

Didn't stay for longer!

Great location. Beach is across the street. The breakfast is excellent. Homemade four-cheese soufflé, granola, eggs, assortment of bread, cereal, baked goods all in a calm setting.

There is no gym.
