Comfortable bed and nice view from the room

Personally, the bedroom and the hotel in general i found it really comfortable and beautiful, but the personnel who received us for the check-in was not really friendly, i booked my stay by Booking.com and she couldn’t find the reservation, however the way she carried out the process was not kindly, from my point of view, at the end she gave us a room as i showed her the confirmation and the receipt, but she looked kind of like in a bad mood. Guess it could be just a one-time thing but for me it didn’t make me feel comfortable at the beginning, coming from a long day of travel. Afterwards, as soon as we got to our room we had to ask for a change of room as we perceived a smell of smoke really strong, and again, they gave us a new room, but in a not really polite way.

Room was good. Clean with a nice view. Amenities were good. The valet staff and housekeeping staff were wonderful.

Overall public spaces were very dated. I understand that structurally there is not a lot of options but many of the main spaces were very, very dark. Additional (modern) lighting would go a long way. Perhaps paint some of the dated exposed concrete to brighten and modernize the space. There is a lot of empty, unused areas that make the facility feel unwelcoming. Valet parking is very expensive and a self-parking option should be available. Charging $7.00 for a cup of coffee with the breakfast buffet is ridiculous. Coffee and tea should be included in the buffet price. Not the hotel's fault but it is located in the financial center with limited options for dining or shopping within walking distance. The outside can feel sketchy, especially at night.

The staff was amazing from our first encounter with front desk staff Alberto to the valets. The lady in the gift shop put off closing the gift shop to help my husband that came in at closing time, this is a great example of good customer service. I loved the beautiful city view, we went to sleep looking out over the beautiful city of LA and woke to the calm of a busy city before it got started for the day.

Getting to the the hotel is not easy, lots of one way streets. if possible more signage to the hotel

Room was nice enough, the location is why I picked the hotel and I didn’t use the parking ..not too far from the hotel there’s a lot of restaurants and transportation to take you to many iconic LA sights . The staff is pleasant and I was welcomed warmly. Catch buses number 16 outside the hotel and you’re in The Grove outdoors Mall. Walk up third street in the Fairfax area , so many great cafes and restaurants. If you have the energy, walk up La Cienega to Sunset blvd and dine at famous Sunset Plaza , or bus #18 takes you to Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive . From the hotel walk up to The Walt Disney concert Hall or Chinatown. Or even Bodega Louie off Olive st. So much to do ..visit the Biltmore hotel at Pershing Square .

It’s getting a bit old , it needs a renovation

I had issues with room bookings through booking.com and upon arrival I was helped immediately and refunded on the extra room I was wrongfully booked and charged for. It set the tone for our entire trip in such a great way! THANK YOU!!

We REALLY did not like that the juice and coffee was not included with the buffet breakfast. I highly suggest that change ASAP. A lot of people were complaining about it, as well.

great location. great value. lots going on in hotel, lots to do. could hear neighbors thru vents

the parking. if it’s listed I missed it but there is no self parking . you have to use their valet service or park across the street in public parking however the public parking does not allow overnight parking. the parking garage also has a clearance of 6 ft. I was driving a Tahoe and it hits the top of the sign upon entering. it fits but barely fits.

Pros: -Centrally located to the business district -Many choices and good service for breakfast if you have that as part of your stay -Mostly quiet -Air conditioning was excellent

Cons: -There was a dog barking on my floor most of one night, which I learned the next day was because pets are allowed. May not be a con for you, but it was quite annoying for me -Some light fixtures in restroom were either out or broken -Not many close dining options, especially on weekends; you will have to walk or call a taxi -Not especially close to public transit; at least 10-15 min walk

Smooth check-in, arrivied before stated check-in time but was no hastle. Comfortable room, a bonus was the city view. Plenty of space for lots of luggage. Spacious bathroom. Used the pool and loved it. No problem storing luggage after checking out. Didn’t eat or drink any so have no saying about breakfast etc. Seems to be plenty pf restaurants spread out on different levels in the facility. Close to some coffe and food places in the Financial District (walking distance). Pretty easy to walk to Grand Central Market.

The homeless situation in LA affects when you want to walk to certain places.

The parking was convenient but little pricey seeing that I was just getting a ride to the airport from a family member who lives in the area. They had to pay to park to come up while I gathered my belongings for the airport.

Good location downtown. staff were friendly and helpful. Valet service was amazing.

Had an adjoining door with a disruptive child. No answer at front desk at 6 am. called a few times, eventually the bar? answered and transferred to someone, who took our complaint. Apparently due to shift changes no one answered phone. Told they would send someone up and if we would try to stay in same room another night or change rooms. Of course, we would change rooms at 9 am. Went downstairs to do paperwork and obtain key, front desk told me I needed to bring my luggage downstairs and could not get new key until that was done. Went back up and came back down with family and luggage, went to someone else, who apologized and said he would have given key without causing the inconvenience since other key would have been disarmed.
