Location fabulous. Bedroom had sea views and hotel located within 5 mins walk of beach, 10 mins walk to pier and 10 mins walk to restaurants and shops. Complimentary bike service. Clean, modern and well appointed rooms. The foyer was buzzing with people and a live DJ around the bar - pool area. Had we been staying longer we would have enjoyed and soaked up the atmosphere. You certainly felt like you were in the heart of Santa Monica. A true young feel good vibe.

Maybe the cost of parking with only valet parking available but this is Santa Monica.

We enjoyed the lovely view on the beach from our bedroom located on the 6th floor. We also got a nice attention from the staff to acknowledge my husband birthday (thank you for the sparkling wine and macarons! :) ). The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet enough to get a good night sleep. Loved that the hotel offers complementary yoga classes and bikes to cruise around.

Not a big deal but we couldn't get a late check-out and the hotel doesn't have any 'public showers' (at the pool nor at the fitness centre) so we didn't get to have a shower before our very late flight.

The location, facilities (pool, gym) and staff were wonderful. It was easy to get around, with lots of local food options within a reasonable walk. The beds were super comfy, and the rooms were spacious.

The barista staff were not great, took forever each morning to make bad drinks (burnt milk in both lattes and hot chocolates). We ended up going elsewhere for coffee after several bad (and expensive) experiences.

We stayed at this hotel six years ago and it was very nice then but the remodel has made the property beautiful and peaceful. The building is in a great location, only a block from the beach.

There are very few negatives about this hotel. I was disappointed that there was no coffee maker in the room, forcing guests to either order overpriced coffee or walk to a nearby coffee shop.

The view from the rooms are simply amazing, words cannot describe the sunrise and sunset! The bathrooms are a great size. Storage options for clothes etc are great. Relatively quiet considering it's on a main road and there are many rooms.

The water pressure in the shower was pretty bad. $55 for parking is absolute highway robbery, considering there is a car park a block away no more than $15 per night. Sadly Santa Monica isn't what it used to be, and the beach is full of very sad homeless people, heartbreaking.

Great hotel. Pool area quite small, but really well set up. Main attraction would be the staff, who were excellent in every respect (and doubtless deserve the pay rise that is subject of the current LA hospitality workers strike).

One criticism - breakfast WAY too expensive. Happily, Main St is just a short step away - much better value

Perfect location. Great rooms overlooking the sea. Good breakfast. Gym really nice. Did a yoga class on the beach and took a bike to get there. Would definitely recommend that.

The food in the restaurant was only soso. But it’s a lovely vibe and so we did eat in during our stay. Staff seemed a bit mixed. Management all over it. Wait staff not so much.

The best space around the pool is taken up by cabanas that are extreme expensive and were mostly vacant. Feels money-grabbing by the hotel. Some sloppy service - my drink order was forgotten despite multiple reminders and then at checkout I had been billed for someone else’s food order.

The lobby was beautiful and modern and comfortable . The staff was outstanding and I mean everyone from the Manager William to the valet staff and the staff at the restaurant. Everyone working was in a positive attitude and they greeted my Frenchie’s and myself with the best experience possibly that I have ever received at a hotel. Also loved the view from my premium room and so did my boys . what a sight to wake up to and watch the sunset and enjoy seeing the sailboats from the view .

I didn’t dislike anything , I would have loved to see and actual pet relief area for the dogs .

Really nice place. Great location to the pier and near some vibrant Santa Monica locations. Lovely staff and facilities - sitting around the pool on a sunny day doesn't get much better.

Pricey - but I think this is a dislike of California in general. You do pay for what you get though, and the hotel and staff were lovely.
