Great location, comfortable room, and the front desk person was incredibly friendly. She even offered us some cereal and pop tarts when we checked in bc we were leaving super early the next morning and would miss breakfast!

Prices in the area is very high for just an overnight in a nice, but not fancy, room. That said, they were the least expensive I saw in the area and still a great little hotel.

Great place solo or for a couple. Dbl bed Suite was comfortable for several nights with some ability to take care of yourself with the mini kitchen. Lots of restaurants all around. Getting to Brush Creek ski bus parking is only 15 minutes away. Staff made everything easy. Park outside your door. Easy.

Breakfast was budget chain hotel basic and I would have expected they step it up for the price and location. It's not hard to turn out a nice travelers breakfast all around the world. Sad opportunity lost. Go to Two Rivers Cafe instead.

Location to restaurants and bus was great. Room was easy access from the parking lot with an option of a few steps up to the door or no steps.

Only thing that would have made things better is a mini fridge in the room. The sink in room 5 was leaking but I think it is an easy fix.

Such a darling spot. Has a B&B feel. Super nice family that owns and runs the place. Perfect location in downtown Basalt. Well kept and beautifully landscaped with hanging flower pots outside each room. Really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back!

Denise was so personable when we checked into the Inn. Denise provided us with directions and recommended places to eat, and visit. She is a great person.

The scenery and the people of Basalt are worth the return. Basalt is a charming town.

Everything about our stay was top notch. The staff was incredible and went to great lengths to make our stay comfortable. The rooms were so clean and the bed was awesome. Great sheets, mattress and pillows! The provided breakfast was also exceptional and not just your run of the mill hotel breakfast of Stale toast and rubber eggs. The location was an added bonus in regards to walking everywhere i would stay here again!

Space wouldn’t permit it but an outdoor seating area would be great. Not a real problem though as there are outdoor cafes within 50 yards.

Such a wonderful stay at Basalt Mountain Inn! The location in downtown Basalt is excellent, adjacent to fine restaurants (Mod's Thai House was superb!) and stores. Denise and Thomas, two of the gracious staff members, provided excellent communication before we arrived and throughout our stay. When we arrived later than expected (due to multiple road closings), they were kind enough to prepare for our after-9 p.m. arrival. We were quite surprised by the room being a suite: spacious living room area, then a separate bedroom and adjacent bathroom. Relaxing! It was great to have a hearty continental breakfast as early as 7 a.m. in their small, comfortable, and clean dining area. Ample on-site parking was a bonus. When we return to the area, we will definitely return to the inn. :)

Our stay was comfortable overall. Our room was located on the first floor, so our only inconvenience (especially at night) were the footfalls from people in the room above. Otherwise, the room was quiet. Price seemed aligned with Aspen/Snowmass prices, meaning higher than you would expect for a quiet mountain town, but considerably less than the resorts.

Breakfast was good! I liked the variety of offerings. There was something for everyone.

The pillows were pretty hard in the room. Other than that, it was great!

Staff is very friendly and helpful and gave great recommendations for dinner! Big suite, lots of room; King bed was firm but not hard; maid service daily; perfect grab bag breakfast (tangerine, muffin, cheese stick, granola bar, small bottle water); only a few hundred feet (walking distance) from excellent restaurants, so no need to drive anywhere; short drive to Brush Creek park-and-ride shuttle bus station.

Room could use a few things . . . bathroom is new but small. Another mirror anywhere in the suite would be super helpful. Also needs a wine bottle opener, beer bottle opener, and can opener. And a few more hangers.

Perfect location- walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants. Clean. Separate living room. Nice staff.

breakfast just ok - but great little store across the street and walking distance restaurant for a great breakfast.
