The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.
There was an around-the-clock scent of cannabis on the entire property. Whether we opened the window to the parking lot or the rear window in the bathroom, the cannabis smell came in strong. As someone who finds cannabis stink even more disgusting than cigarette smoke, this really limited our options for fresh air during the night.

Everything was amazing, the location was perfect. I was able to access Colorado with ease and all of the stores are nearby too. Rad hostel has different activities all throughout the week for guests, all of the staff are super friendly and very helpful!! The owner Erin is always around too, it was great to see the owner of the property and chat with her! They have bikes available to ride the trails, they have maps to help you get around town if you’re not from here or familiar with the area! This was my first time at a hostel and I definitely enjoyed it so much!! If you’re not familiar with a hostel and are looking to visit one, I think that you should visit Rad hostel! They don’t have T.V.’s in the dorms or rooms because they have them in the common areas, there’s a 24-hour lounge with a T.V. and also another T.V. In the main house. Not having a T.V. In my dorm was actually pretty cool because it helped me to focus on enjoying my trip and having a peaceful stay while there! I really enjoyed my stay at Rad Hostel, I definitely recommend a stay here! I met some amazing people and created some great memories/friendships while there!! It even snowed while I was there, so beautiful to be able to see the snow capped mountains right from the back patio!
I enjoyed everything!!

Had a great stay here. We got into town a little late, and they called us to check in if we were going to make it by 9pm for check in. I told them I was running a bit behind and they graciously offered us to stay 10 minutes after closing for us, they did ask us to call if it was going to be later and that there would be a $10 charge. We got there just in the nick of time, and they were so sweet, I was a frazzled mess and frantically rushing, they told me not to rush that it was fine. It was very reassuring! They found out I was staying with my mother who is disabled and they graciously offered us a larger room so I wouldn't have to climb up to the top bunk, which after driving for two days, I was super pleased. At no extra charge! They asked if I had ever stayed in a hostel, which I had not and they showed me around. They have a 24hr laundry room, and a little hangout room. They showed me all the common areas! Many of which were just adorable. Mind you all of this was after their office hours! After getting me all oriented with the communal areas, they walked me to our room to make sure our key code worked, something very thoughtful, and that I greatly appreciated. Your key code is written on a slip of paper for you, and there is a key code to access the laundry area and chill space. And if you're wondering, yes, the private rooms are private!
Mattress could on the twin bunks could have been more comfortable.. It gets a little chilly next to the wall so I recommend cozy jammies if you're staying when the nights are cool.

This place was such a great stay, the room was clean and did not smell and the most people in the eight bed room I stayed in only had four girls. The kitchen was nice and they would email about excursions if travelers were interested. Electronic locks were also on all the rooms.
There was not a lot of parking by the building, the store next door allows the hostel to use the empty lot next door but the lack of lighting was not great for that. Most places of interest to travelers were not very close, transportation other than walking would be a must. While the hostel itself was nice, the area around it was mostly unlit, would not recommend walking alone.

The staff and volunteers were so kind and fun to hang out with! There is a fab garden at the back with hammocks, volleyball, etc. and a couple of really comfortable lounges. The location is a bit out of the way, but is serviced by a couple of bus routes to Downtown. The bathrooms included shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion, as well as towels. The kitchen is really well stocked, and the complimentary breakfast (cereal, toast, pancakes) was lovely.
Most of the advertised social activities didn't actually go ahead as there wasn't transport or enough people interested.

The staff. Very welcoming, respectful & fun. They made my 2 children, ages 10 & 13 feel extremely comfortable & safe. I truly appreciated their genuine character and manners throughout our stay. I also enjoyed their company. We sat out back telling stories one night and it felt like family. It truly did. The staff is so responsible when it comes to duties, and really every other aspect of the business and welcoming in new travelers. I can't say anything bad. The value is unbeatable. Our room was spacious and clean. The entire grounds has so much to offer for kids and adults alike. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and I wish nothing but the best to each and every one of the staff members. RAD Hostel is special.
The only thing I didn't give an excellent or 5 star rating is location. It's not that it's in a bad neighborhood...not sure there is one in Springs...but it's right on Nevada Ave which is a pretty busy street. The property sits far enough off that you're not in a dangerous area but traffic can be fast and solid. There is liquor store right next door as well as some pot dispensaries which is obviously a common scene in Colorado. Just be aware if you're traveling with kids and your boat doesn't float that way ;) I had no problem with it personally.

Had the private room. upon arrival the front desk staff (we spoke to the Aussie) was very nice and a great welcome to the accommodation. she explained all the facilities and i felt very welcome. nice room, whist not massive, had all i needed for a good stay in Colorado Springs. I recomend this place to other travellers. they have something on every night that you can join if you want to but we never had time to. nice to know it’s available if i wanted to meet new people but it’s not FORCED onto you. Breakfast was nice aswell

Stayed last year as a solo traveler, this stay with a girlfriend traveling a short leg of my travels with me. Shared a female 4 bunkbed dorm that had another traveler. Met other travelers from variety of USA and Europe. We all attended a drumming & fireworks off grounds escorted by staff. Will stay again next year as this location, price, safety and overall hostel flavor of “more” works out well!
My stay had so many highlights there were no detractions to note.

Excellent budget friendly place to unwind. I love the staff. They are so accommodating! Erin made a special trip to the store so I could take my hot bath. It was a Friday night and they made a nice campfire 🔥 with some music. The guests and some staff hung around talking by the fire. I also love that they have a community room and community kitchen where you can cook your own food if you wish. They provide breakfast and coffee in the morning. The rooms are functional. Would definitely come back. ..
The first room we stayed in, Rm. 8 didn't smell very good due to the detergent for the sheets. We didn't have that problem in Rm 11, it smelled fine

We loved the location and how you could see Pike’s Peak from the hostel. The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. This was our first hostel to stay at and we traveled with kids, so we weren’t sure how it would go. The kids admitted this was “better than a hotel” because of the activities in the backyard and because of how “everyone is so nice.” We felt like it was home away from home. We most definitely will stay here again if we are back in the area!
