Taya at the front desk was very helpful and professional throughout our stay. She was very friendly and attentive to our needs and played a huge part in making our stay at the Omni pleasant.

It took too long to check in. There were only 2 people at the front desk and both kept me and my mother waiting for over 15 minutes to check in at 11pm.

Everything about it except….

The $9.95 “Deluxe” or $14.95 “Premium” WI-Fi charge is very annoying. It would have been waived if we were “Select Guest Members”. As a matter of principle we chose not to join this “select” group”. I guess the only way we can show our displeasure with WI-Fi and “Resort” fees is to take our business elsewhere which we will do the next time we go to New Haven.

Price gouging for the period of Yale graduation was staggering. We stayed at the Omni multiple times over the years our daughter was a student. The Omni doubled plus the rates (in the high $600-700s per night) for the whole period of graduation and the alumni reunion weekend. We won't stay there again, just on principle.

Really nice a very helpful staff! Rosa from the housekeeping 'saved' my dress! Robin from the top floor cafe was brilliant in accommodating our 'out-of-hours' request for coffee... Every member of staff is really friendly and welcoming

Noisy and not very easy to use coffee machine...

The elevator was fast, beds were good but we prefer a shower instead of a bathtub.

WiFi at the beginning of our stay. We had to wait for hours for the connection. Very old fashioned but the connection was good.

I paid for valet parking but none was available when I needed it. Desk had delay finding car keys and did not explain to me how the exit gaite worked. Able to get out but caused delayw

I like the hotel for its location and for the attached parking garage, which is free for hotel guests. Parking in New Haven is not fun. It's also close to the Shubert and to great restaurants (not to mention Yale).

I would like to have glasses in the room - a small thing until you brush your teeth!

Our room was really comfortable. Great view. Wonderful reading chair in corner with a decent light. Very nice bedding. Well-cleaned.

Might want to consider introducing higher toilets. Nice for older clients. And the shower floor was badly peeling -- not inviting for guests wanting a bath.

I loved the bedroom and shower. There were plenty of outlets for charging devices! The hotel is in an excellent location and it. was very easy to navigate to our desired destinations with only a short walk! I requested champagne be placed in the room for my anniversary and the hotel manager responded very quickly to my request. Check in and out were easy and the people at the front desk were funny and polite!

We were having trouble turning on our shower for the first time, and as we did not want to twist the handle and break it, we called down to the front desk to have someone check it for us. The engineer who came up to our room to check the shower was rude when we opened the door. My partner opened the door and immediately thanked the man for coming upstairs, but his response was an aggressive "What do you mean the shower's broken?" He fixed the issue quickly, and we apologized profusely for wasting his time, but the overall interaction with this man was unpleasant, as he was extremely irritated from the moment he entered our room.

Location is the reason I chose this hotel. I have been here for breakfast previously and loved the Old World Charm. It was also the starting point for the walking food tour we signed up for on Saturday.

We were in the corner of the 18th floor, which afforded us a beautiful sunset veiw. However, it also meant there was noise from the 19th floor setting up for a function. Additionally, when the bars closed around 1:30 a.m., the noise was VERY loud with people's voices and revving engines.
