Quiet, quaint, nice amenities, staff is professional and friendly. This is a hidden gem. We stayed at Nora Belle’s Cottage. Absolutely beautiful! Large wrap around front porch, two parking spots in front of cottage. Spacious, cozy living room, two huge bedrooms, two and half bathrooms, large kitchen, dining room seats 6 and the pool is basically right outside the back patio of this cottage. Perfect for a family. The grounds are lovely and I found calming. Tasty breakfast. This is a must stay in Gainesville. Just love the history of this property.

Just wish it had a place for laundering.

A great property, full of character and well maintained. The staff were super helpful and attentive. The homemade breakfast was a lovely touch. We had the heated saltwater pool to ourselves whenever we used it. Borrowed the free bikes to explore the neighbourhood, a nice perk. The downtown area full of restaurants and bars is just a 10 minute walk away.

An amazing collection of historic buildings. We stayed in Lilly’s Cottage and everything was so cozy. Comfortable King-sized bed in separate bedroom, plenty of blankets and pillows. Pull-out sofa in living room had inflatable mattress on top of sofa-bed one for extra comfort. Full kitchen facilities we didn’t have time to use. Breakfast in the main house was a treat—home cooked and many options. Beautiful B&B compound!

Great location for Downtown Gainesville. The breakfast was great with a number of choices every day. Room was clean and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and the service was excellent.

I don’t have any negative comments about our stay.

This was our second stay at Sweetwater Branch. Beautiful grounds. Reserved parking spaces. The Julia room was perfect. Large bathroom, sitting area, king sized bed. Breakfast was great with several hot choices (my favorite is the frittata), fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, coffee and juices. Always nice to sit on the veranda. Close to many restaurants. Our favorite, Harry's is just a short drive away. Don't get me started on their crawfish etouffee. YUM!

No more happy hour. But, apparently this is due to lower room rates.

The breakfasts were the very best. Home made with a wide variety of options for you to pick from. If you have specific foods you have to eat they will try to accommodate your special diet. Very clean and well organized. Fabulous staff. Would recommend this to everyone. Had a wonderful relaxing stay.

Everything beautiful facility and friendly staff including an extra friendly visitor, felinous calicus. Just like home!!! Loved every second and definitely will be back.

Was disappointed by no coffee filters but then I found the coffee station in the main house win!!! NO COMPLAINTS AWESOME VENUE

We were in one of the older buildings on the property. It was decorated beautifully to the approximate time period. Seating inside and out. Fountains and plants outside to help you relax and enjoy. Inside soft music was piped in, and seating was period, but also comfy. The rooms, although a bit small, were very nice. Everything was clean, and ready to go. Breakfast every day offered plenty to eat. There was also a wine hour, when you can pick up a drink, and cheese/cracker tray to go. The whole experience was geared toward just relaxing. Also only about 3-4 blocks from center of town.

Signs at the entrances were not visible, if they are there at all. Had to go around more than once to figure out where exactly we go to check in. Only property issue I had was, you need to be ready for mosquitos. They are viscous, and hungry.

The property was stunning and the staff were kind and gracious.

Our bed was horrible. There were major divers on both sides. We only stayed for one night so it was bearable. If longer no. Before you stay in the Giovanna room ask if they have replaced the Matress

What's not to like about Sweetwater Branch? Wonderful Victorian architecture and well appointed rooms. Tasty hot breakfast in the morning on the veranda. Wine and cheese in the afternoon; we sat by the pool to enjoy ours. Beautiful grounds. Close to many great restaurants.

My complaint isn't about the hotel, more the booking. We stayed for four nights in the smallest room. Many of the other rooms were rented for 1-2 nights. I would book the smallest room for the single nights and schedule longer stays in the larger rooms.
