We spent 8 nights (Dec 25-Jan 2) at Carlisle Inn and everything was excellent. The hotel is close to downtown Sarasota and most area attractions. Yet it feels a bit secluded. The premises are well maintained. The room, 2-queen beds, was clean, spacious, quiet, and typically priced for this time of the year. I loved the hallways. The pool is fabulous and heated. That was my daughter's (7 yr. old) favorite part of the hotel. The staff was polite, pleasant, and helpful. I had multiple reservations and Becky made sure everything was in order. Missa was amazing. We left out at 2am headed back to MI and she made sure we had a few snacks for the road. Note; there is a trail immediately adjacent to the hotel that is great for walking, biking or exploring. It is very popular. I will stay here every time I visit FL.

From the minute we arrived, it was an exceptional experience. The entire hotel staff were just wonderful and welcoming. Our room was spotless and quite spacious with such nice touches like providing real coffee mugs. The hallways are very wide and easy to navigate. Daily breakfast was amazing and real cutlery provided. Plenty of parking and a beautiful pool area. Great location too. Short drive to Sarasota beaches. We were lucky and Siesta Key beach had just was opened back up after Hurricane Milton. The Carlisle Inn-Sarasota feels like home away from home.

The front desk staff was very nice. The hotel was very clean and tidy. It was probably the quietest hotel I've stayed in which was wonderful for me. The rooms were tidy and pleasant. I didn't see they had a fitness center on the website or I would have brought workout clothes. I didn't have cookies or breakfast so I can't speak to them. The rooms and hallway were very large. I can imagine the food would be good but I didn't try it. I would stay there again.

There was something red on the bathroom counter. I could rub it off with a damp tissue so cleaning could have been slightly better. Overall it was very good. The view was of the parking lot and some areas that were not attractive. Overall it was very good.

What a gem! I had no idea this place existed, and it's marvelous. It reminded me of a mini Biltmore village with the hotel, gift store, restaurant, bakery, etc and all within walking distance. The workmanship is wonderful. The size and cleanliness is unheard of today. And you can tell that it was lovingly made by the Mennonite/ Amish people. And the hot tub was hot! Also, some of the friendliest staff that I didn't know still existed in the world today. Everyone I met, even other patrons, were just so nice. It reminded of the way the world used to be.

Unfortunately after turning on the heat because it was slightly cold and needing to switch it back over to air conditioning in the middle of the night it did not turn back on. But I think that will be fixed super quickly as they took my complaint seriously and they were willing to come check it out in the middle of the night if I had wanted to disturb my sleep.

This hotel is exceptional! From the moment you walk into the hotel lobby. I was greeted by smiling faces that were genuinely happy to have me in their hotel. I noticed right away how immaculate this hotel is. From the lobby, to the common areas to the hallways, and rooms. This hotel deserves to be rated a 4-5 star easily They provided a delicious complimentary breakfast each morning and fresh cookies each afternoon. The rooms were cleaned each day, trash emptied as you towels replenished The room was large, well lit and very comfortable My bed was a king size with a separate couch, dining table and a console that was a desk drawers combination The shower and wash room were separate so multiple people can get ready at the same time The shower had a detachable shower head and multiple settings for a rain or pulse water feature. The mirrors were large and the room was well lit My room came with a small refrigerator that I used to keep items I purchased at the company owned restaurant/gift shop/ bakery in front of the hotel The location is perfectly situated close to literally everything but yet in a quiet and safe Amish neighborhood Pinecrest

There is nothing not too like about this hotel

Entire facility, inside and outside, was spotless. This may well have been the cleanest and best run accommodation I have ever experienced; and I have experienced a lot. I was not aware that this was an Amish owned facility, but it was a very pleasant surprise. Room was large and well appointed with great shower and comfortable bed. Full kitchen area with lots of room to move around. Complimentary breakfast was great - with a large selection of items that were hot and tasty. There is also a large Amish restaurant, Der Dutchmen, on the property. Meals there were fantastic with prices lower that might have been expected. Definitely worth a visit.

I am hard pressed to identify anything I did not like about Carlisle Inn. I was initially concerned that the travel distance to the beach and other attractions might be a problem. This did not prove to be true as we could get to nearly everything a short 5 - 20 minute drive.

This was honestly one of the nicest stays I’ve ever had. You could tell the moment you stepped into the beautiful lobby and were greeted so graciously by the front desk this place was a 10/10. The room was immaculately spacious and clean. The hallways were huge with benches, recliners and couches to relax if needed. There was a heated outdoor pool and spa. The breakfast was awesome especially the pastries!! And there were complimentary cookies available til 8 pm and 24/7 coffee!!! Also no need to travel looking for a lunch/dinner spot; “Der Dutchman” was incredible and reasonably priced!!! Loved the Carlisle and would 100% recommend!!

Nothing!!!!

The hotel is very clean. The room is spacious, the hallway is wider than regular. Everything is well kept. The bed is very comfortable. The comforter has just the right warmth level. The hotel pool is heated to a really warm temperature and there is a jacuzzi pool as well. Breakfast is decent. You can make your own waffles, and the highlight is they have some really good donuts. The hotel has cookies available 4-8pm and has hot water and coffee (both regular and decaf) available all day. Their coffee machine makes iced coffee too.

I wish they had gravy to go with the biscuits at breakfast. Wish they had the original oat meal with no sugar added as one of my family members is diabetic.

Unbelievably clean room. Absolutely the cleanest room we’ve ever stayed in, including small details like spotless mirrors, shower doors & even windows. And they offer complete maid service every day! Everything on the property grounds (both inside & out) is clean, neat, organized & in its’ proper place at all times. Abundant parking & well-manicured lots. A nice pool & patio area, again very well maintained. The staff was magnificent. Truly one of the best staffed hotels ever. Everyone, including housekeeping & breakfast, was wonderful. This hotel most definitely deserves the high rating it garners.

Although not directly in the control of the hotel, we found the adjacent restaurant to have sub-standard food. The dinner buffet was institutional cafeteria inspired bland fare. Not worth it at all, and sadly, was also the hotels’ source for room service.

A wonderfully, calming hotel. In the surrounding area is a wonderful health food supermarket and a lovely Amish bakery. The staff were all SUPER friendly and, the hotel was clean, quiet, soothing and welcoming.

Impossible to obtain food ingredients/dietary input. Complimentary breakfast was lovely, but no food was labelled and if I asked anyone, they didn't know the ingredients. Not what you'd expect in this day and age.
