Stayed 2 weeks early Nov. Location is great. We have stayed 3 other times in Waikiki and prefer this end of the strip as closer to beach. We have stayed closer to beach but now prefer slightly further away as better sized units. Close to bus transport, cheap food outlets and cheaper restaurants, supermarket (Safeway) 15 minute walk, beach close by and close to the southernmost pier (lots of fish to swim with), close to large park and diamond head for good walks, access to multiple communal barbeques (very very clean) and very large outdoor dining area, pool is awesome. Lanai (deck) has good table and comfortable chairs with great view of pool and barbeque area and the ranges behind Honolulu, adjoining high-rise is a good distance away so no privacy issues and unit has some morning sun but not the hot afternoon sun so come home to cool unit after seeing the classic Waikiki sunset. Room is spacious and well presented, clean and tidy. Kitchen is well appointed and Housekeeping will provide additional pots, dishes etc if required. Fridge is huge. Bed is really really big and very comfortable. The communal laundry, one on each floor, is great with an app to advise when clothes finished washing. This is a well located unit and has ability with kitchen and massive outdoor barbeque and eating area to be able to prepare your own meals and keep costs down. Reception Staff really friendly as were the dedicated security staff. Unit has a great in-room electronic safe (very easy to use) and big enough to put 2x large laptops and all you valuables in. No issues with security as door lock is electronic with on-site security staff and some of the occupiers are residents. In summary a really great place to stay. Would definitely stay again.

This was a great unit and didn't really dislike anything. We didn't try out the aircon as we didn't need it, as can open windows and sliding door to lanai, it but looked ok as it was a larger unit with a new control unit. There is limited ability to dry clothes, other than dryer in laundry room, as building policy of no drying on lanai, so so more clothes hangers in bathroom would be great. More clothes hangers for bedroom closet would also be great. I noted stickers by sprinklers saying 'no hangers on sprinkler surrounds', so drying may have been an issue for others. The floor level is a bit uneven around the kitchen area but feels like home.

Not as close to beach as i would have liked. There was no frying pans in kitchen.

The 33rd Floor Mountain View Room was absolutely amazing! Amenities were great, especially having a minimart in the building was very convenient. Location was quite good. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Loved our stay and would stay here again!

Not much to be honest, maybe a little closer to the beach but we genuinely enjoyed the walking after all the eating we did.

. Great location. Staff was extremely prompt and accomodating. Pool and bbq area was very nice. Suite was clean and spacious. Loved the grocery mart on the 5th floor. Prices were reasonable.

Front desk was understaffed. One person is definitely not enough. Disappointed there was no bellman or luggage storage available. We ended up paying for another night so we weren't dragging luggage around all day. Major problems with the TV. Free movie rentals but couldn't take advantage of them. You could only access through Playstation and it was way too complicated for those unfamiliar with it. This may sound crazy but the most irritating thing was the fry pan. Try scrubbing a pan that has a raised pattern on the bottom. We even had other people staying here comment on their frustration with it.

I like that it had a full kitchen with all the cooking ware, utensils and necessary things to have a meal with my family.

That their parking structure guard lady is not very friendly.

Large, comfortable suite room with well-equipped kitchen. We know beforehand that the facilities are outdated and it was not an issue for us. Plenty of towels provided. Our room was cleaned twice during the 4-night stay, which was about right for me. Having coin-laundry on every floor was also great in reducing post-travel laundry stress. Parking fee not too bad compared to other hotels.

Mostly minor stuff e.g. we were not provided with info on how frequently the room will be cleaned and on which day, bathroom lights could be a bit brighter, coffee was not provided enough for the whole duration of the stay (although it can be requested).

Location. It was 5 min walk from the Waikiki Beach, shop, street food vans, bus stop were even closer. The room was big enough for 4 persons, had a nice, well equipped kitchen and the washing/ drying machines were clean for a fair price. Extra towels were avilable for the beach use. Stuff was nice.

The furniture looked worn, theye were definately 20-30 years old. The parking was very expensive (25 USD/24h). The air conditioner was very loud and had not a clear smell. Early check-in or late check-out was available only for high extra charge (almost the cost of one night), but the luggage was possible to leave behind the front desk for free. I think the daily newspaper could be saved with asking the guests whether they need it or not.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Aston Waikiki Sunset hotel, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The room was clean and well-maintained, offering a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. The highlight was definitely the scenic ocean view from my room, which provided breathtaking sights throughout my stay. As a family traveler, I found the hotel to be an excellent choice. The amenities were well-suited for children, and the room's kitchen was a definite plus. It had everything I needed to prepare meals, making it convenient and cost-effective for my family. Overall, my stay at the Aston Waikiki Sunset was delightful. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a friendly staff, clean accommodations, beautiful views, and a family-friendly environment.

Very happy with the apartment. We were unexpectedly upgraded to ocean view on the 31st floor, which was amazing! The staff were so lovely and very helpful. Really clean and great aircon. Easy to walk to the beach for the little ones. I was worried the furnishings would be too outdated but it was not at all. Nice and spacious. Coin washing machine and dryer on each floor which was awesome. We were allowed to swim in the pool the day we arrived until it was time to check-in which was great for our 4yr old son. Elevators were good too, didn't have to wait too long.The bed was huge and all four of us slept in it at one point.

We requested a cot for our 3 month old baby and it was kind of like a cage with steel bars and really low, so we didn't use it. next time I would bring a travel cot. The pullout couch was nice and clean but a bit hard so only used it once. Could have had just one or two more extra pillows in the room.

Very impressed with our stay here. Super helpful, informative and accommodating staff. Brilliant facilities at the hotel: pool, mimi-mart, film rentals and so close to restaurants, bars and the beach. Comfortable and extremely well facilitated room with a view of the golf course and mountains. Bike/ moped hire and tourist info/ tour bookings just around the corner as well. If you are not hiring a car there is a bus that drops you right outside the hotel from the airport and there are many bus stops around the accommodation to take you around. Surpassed our ever expectation and great value for money considering the prices on the island.

The pool is quite small and cold but great for kids and we are so close to the beach that you are unlikely to want to use the pool a lot.
