Very nice full apartment with spacious master bedroom, two bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen, large living room, and large balcony. The view as spectacular, directly on to the ocean. The pool and hot tub were quite nice. Walking distance to a local market/deli.

The bed was a bit hard. The glass topped dining table and coffee table seemed a bit hazardous for children. The single elevator required a lot of walking to and from the room. Driving was required to get into the center of Kailua and to any swimming beaches (most of the coast here is rocky basalt).

Great place overall and amazing view. Free underground parking.

Didn’t offer room service and luggage storage. the second one was very painful because our flight was late at night and we had to stay all day with our luggage.

Great view. Nice grounds. Kitchen very well equipped. Sofa pull out mattress comfy. Carpeted rooms- a bit dirty and gross w stains.

Large and spacious, lovely views overlooking the ocean and we really enjoyed the sound of the waves, good balcony, excellent BBQs - looked brand new - Webers. Excellent parking, liked having two bathrooms. Plenty of crockery and cutlery, everything clean. Walking distance to the markets just up the road (who did excellent tacos, burritos, poke etc) and to Jackie Rey's Grill which had excellent food. Pool area was lovely and really clean pool.

The decor is a little dated but nothing was worn or damaged. Like every rental place, the knives are never sharp so build that into your considerations before you try anything too adventurous for dinner. Lighting at the BBQs could have been better over the tables and chairs to enable you to eat down there.

The view was gorgeous. We didn't take advantage of the pool and minimal beach due to the weather being quite cool. The facility was quiet. The apartment was nicely decorated. The laundry was helpful to have.

While I thought we were paying luxury pricing, the service was not. Linens were only changed after we left, without the option to tidy our beds and sitting area.

Ocean view, nice pool that wasn't too crowded, ocean front seating area. The condo was large and spacious, the balcony/lanai was great with an ocean view.

The carpet in the living room could use replacement - lots of stains and spots. The lighting in the condo was very poor - it was hard to see well enough to pack etc. at night. The bedroom has windows facing the corridor outside - who would ever open those blinds? a design flaw. The sofabed in the living room was poor - for the condo to actually sleep 4, the living room pull-out sofabed needs to be better (e.g. with a foam mattress). The kitchen had no pantry supplies at all - only pots and pans. Some basics (oil, salt, pepper, sugar) would go a long way.

The room is spacious and has a nice view. cleanliness .The pool and jacuzzi were nice. Bathtubs 🛀 are the best!

There was no shampoo etc in the second room. It would have been nice to have detergent in the kitchen.

Ocean View was fantastic (can really hear the ocean)! Property very close to ocean. Property grounds very well maintained, even to the point of staff wiping down outdoor furniture on the grounds. Very sizable balcony with balcony furniture and table. Kitchen and bathrooms were updated and very nice and clean. Very quiet property. Check-out was a breeze.

Condo rental: condo was very nice and we felt right at home. Plenty of seating to stretch out in family room. Some suggested improvements: furniture and decorating needs updating (feels dated). Mattress needs to be replaced (sinks towards middle). Coffee maker needs to be replaced (old and rusty). Dishwasher needs to be replaced (hard getting a cycle started, most buttons didn’t work). Not a fan of the carpet (feels dated), although it was apparent the carpet was recently cleaned. Property: You need new luggage carts!! Only found one available and it just did not want to roll!!! Huge pain!!! Also the cart was old and dirty- time to replace! Outdoor lighting needs to he improved in entryways/outdoor hallways. Too dark coming in at night and a little spooky.

Great location. The grounds were very well maintained, ocean view 1 bedroom room was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had all the cookware and utensils you need. Had covered parking which was a real nice bonus.

Furnishings were a little tired and could use some updating but they were clean and comfortable which is the most important.

Aston Kona by the Sea was the perfect place to stay. It was actually on the ocean, not like so many places in the area that are near the ocean. It was in the perfect place, minutes away from town. The rooms were incredible, furnished well with appropriate furniture to give the room a beachy feel. There was a pool and hot tub close by all the rooms. The kitchen had all you need to prepare meals in the room without going out. There are gas grills that were put in by the pool that guests can use to prepare food. We brought some Ahi tuna at roadside stand, used the gas grills to cook it and it was perfect.

There was a saltwater pool, not sure why it was there, but it was pretty stained and took away from the otherwise pristine look of the area. Just as a suggestion, maybe some sand could be brought in and a small sand beach could be put in.
