Perfect Location - shopping plaza and eateries nearby and also close to GCCC Lovely breakfast with a good selection Rooms clean, quiet and very spacious. Beds are so comfy! Enjoyed using the gym facilities The Free coffee and expresso machine and filtered water/iced tea in Reception was a welcomed bonus All staff really helpful & friendly especially the Breakfast Catering Team and the Reception Team. Special mention to Bridget in Reception who was so kind and extremely helpful during our visit who went out of her way to make me and my daughter feel very welcome. Thank you, Bridget! I was so impressed with hotel & its facilities that I would most definately choose to stay at the Best Western Plus, Emerald Inn & Suites on my next visit to Garden City :)

Good beds, clean, lovely decor with art representative of the location, polite staff, convenient breakfast included. There are nearby points of interest and activities.

Main entrance is hidden, it's behind the building relative to where you drive in. Green lights on exterior walls were our best clue that we found the right building. Inside--ad hoc signs everywhere telling guests don't, no, stop, etc. The signs and makeshift barricades undermined the classy aesthetic and felt low-key hostile. We made a joke out of it and chose to stay again on the way back, because the facility is quite nice and reasonably priced.

Location and parking on sight near the front doors was a great bonus, the interior of the hotel was beautiful, free hot coffee and espresso machine in the lobby was perfect. But the room far exceeded our expectations... We got a suite and it was huge - three rooms a large walk in shower was the answer for a long day on the road.

Possibly the view in western Kansas could be improved -lol The many grain trucks coming down to the stop light were adamant about using the engine brakes on the big rigs... So the noise pollution was an issue at first on a Friday night

Breakfast was fabulous! This is by far the best free breakfast offered by any hotel that I have stayed in. There were many options (both hot and cold) to choose from and everything was delicious. The staff attending the buffet was very attentive and monitored it closely to refresh the items as needed and to keep the area clean and neat. The layout of the buffet was excellent and allowed for good traffic flow.

The only small criticism I have is that the toilet paper was way too thin, and for the quality of this hotel, should have been better.

Liked the extensive breakfast and coffee bar. Comfortable lobby. Comfortable beds. Clean facility.

In room fridge did not keep items very cold. The hot tub had hot water, but the jets were not working. In the pool photos, it shows little fountains over the pool, but those didn't exist. Worked out in the gym with very little A/C in there. There is no remote to turn on the TV in the gym. Elliptical works, but the buttons were nonfunctional.

They had a really good breakfast. A lot more than most of the places we book. Rooms are newly updated. Clean carpet and some tile. Staff was nice.

My wife wanted a cup of coffee when we got back to the room. sorry to say, the coffee maker would not work. Called down to the desk to see if someone could help. She was going to bring a whole different maker to us, but there were no more to be had. I thought that was a little strange that they had no more for back up. My did get it to work the next morning, but it would not make a second cup for me. We were told that they have coffee in the lobby 24/7, but that was an inconvenience at that time. Just a little glitch.

Convenient, staff was helpful and friendly, room was clean and comfortable. Didn’t eat breakfast - I fast a lot. After leaving, realized I had left a book my daughter gifted me. Called and explained the situation. By the time I got back it was waiting for me at front desk.That was a big deal for me personally. Managers name was Joven (sp?) - very gracious. I’m sorry if I got this wrong - was in a huge rush.

The staff were amazing. Especially Bridget who made us feel so welcome and at home at all times. She went out of her way to help me with all our needs as my son transitioned from Europe to the US for college and we were staying here and getting all ready so I was quite demanding. Bridget catered for ALL our needs I definitely will be back for her. All staff were amazing though and also arranged for me a late checkout. The property is located next to all the main eateries and shops. It offered everything one may require. The rooms were spacious and equipped. Providing towels at the gym and at the pool and ambiance was always welcoming. Beds were great. All was outstanding. Thank you again for having us. Parking was plentiful. Never an issue.

Coming from Europe I never appreciate head showers only. Would have been perfect if the baths/showers came with hand held showers too. Bath time was never pleasant but guess its the style in the USA. Also the doors bang. While this is not the fault of the Hotel, some guests seem to enjoy opening and closing the doors multiple times at odd hours constantly hearing loud banging. Never complained though as it never lasted too long but just enough to wake you up. Breakfast is very basic. Deserves an upgrade but served the purpose i guess.

The location felt new. It was extremely clean and it was definitely the nicest option in town. The indoor pool was well kept and always well stocked. The lobby always felt freshly cleaned and was welcoming. Breakfast was wonderful as was the staff each time we entered. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were well stocked.

The only thing I would recommend is for breakfast to be started just a bit earlier so that the gravy and biscuits would be hot right at 6 am for the guests that need to eat right at breakfast start time for an early departure but everything else was AMAZING!

Front desk staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good.

Room heater didn't work- blew cold air on a night where it snowed. Pool had peeling ceiling probably from moisture of hot tub. At night only had 1 person work and she had to check people in, tend bar, and handle front desk needs simultaneously.. impossible!
