The grounds and home were breathtaking. The staff , friendly and accommodating and the complimentary breakfast that was provided each morning was homestyle and prepared fresh daily. Also, a portion of the restaurant was open 24 hrs for complimentary snacks, water, and ice. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The complimentary tour of the mansion was so informative and interesting and Ms. Julie, Ms. Stacy, and Ms. Mary were so nice and pleasant and took time to get to know our family. We will be returning again and and again for the peace and tranquillity, the amazing views of the property, and the friendly staff that treated us as valued guests. The resident felines, Shady and Minou were a delight. Shout out to Woody, Greenwood’s canine little buddy, who insisted on tagging along for the tour with us. He is a sweet little guy. Love, love, love this place. I can’t say enough nice things about Greenwood Plantation B&B and the amazing experience we had there. We were also fortunate enough to meet some really cool guests from out of the country. Just a beautiful experience. ❤️ Thank you Greenwood.

A warm welcome and everything provided to make our stay really comfortable. The owners live on site and are incredibly friendly knowledgable and welcoming. Stacey and Mary who work there are full of "Southern Hospitality" and are both lovely. We were made to feel valued and welcome throughout our stay. I really can not fault it. It is off the beaten track a little. If peace and quiet is not what you want - then this place is not for you. However if you do want a taste of life on a plantation and want to sit in a rocking chair on the balcony and just enjoy the serene setting and listen to nature with no other man made noise..... Then go ahead and book.

OMG! DELICIOUS! They were so kind and so willing to make what we wanted. Four of us ate together in their beautiful gathering room. They offered grits - which were new to some, but so tasty when we tried the add in's that they recommended! More than willing to accommodate our needs! Even the Owner made sure we were full and enjoyed our meal

Not one thing! We will get the king size bed next time - but seriously the room was spacious, clean and well appointed - loved the robes! Perhaps a small corner table? - we like to play cards

Everything about Greenwood was excellent. The owners Mr. Hal and Mrs. Julie, Mrs. Mary and Ms. Stacie. They were very nice and helpful with everything. The room was excellent and comfortable, clean it is such a beautiful place and very quiet and peaceful. I would like to thank the owners and staff for a wonderful and peaceful stay. We stayed in one of the units on the top floor that had views both out the front and the back of the property, overlooking the lake to the plantation house. It made for a very spectacular stay, where we could sit on rocking chairs on the veranda, light the citronella candles provided and enjoy the tranquility (until the frogs started their chorus in the evening !!!!). Excellent size of rooms, very clean, and good breakfast in the morning. Snacks and water available anytime in the morning and fridge, freezer and bags of ice readily available. A very pleasant stay, which included a guided tour of the plantation house. Although rebuilt since a fire in the 1960’s it is still spectacular and the tour was incredibly interesting.

Personalized breakfast was delicious. The grounds were gorgeous and well kept. Rooms were immaculate. Staff was super friendly and personable. Live oak trees on site were some of the most beautiful I've ever been around. It was nice to explore the grounds, enjoyed seeing the peacocks and turkey in pen, wildlife and spectacular sunsets. The 6 pm Star Spangled Banner played on the loud speaker each night is a nice, patriotic moment. Great place to relax, far off the beaten path. Wonderful dining nearby in St. Francisville.

Beds were comfortable, however, the sheets were not as soft as we're used to. Perhaps they need to be replaced or upgraded. Lady bugs in room, but this time of year, that's apparently not uncommon. Seems like they enjoyed the stay too! A little annoying but part of nature.

I can't eat specific things and the staff worked with my restrictions to make my breakfast enjoyable and delicious. My partner could eat everything and said it was perfect.

The doors to the rooms have curtains and the only "dislike" was that the curtain left a small opening on one side. In general it wasn't a deal breaker just a sunlight annoyance lol

Really appreciated the extra attention to detail, such as throws/blankets on the front porch rocking chairs. Oh and those chocolate chip cookies were Devine. Was a little off the beaten path, but made up for it in friendly atmosphere and the tour was great. Definitely will recommend to anyone planning on coming your way.

The breakfast was very good and the location was "off the beaten path" which was exactly what we were looking for.

The television was not reliable. It was a dish system and the service was spotty when we were watching television. I would have liked to have watched Netflix or Amazon Prime video while we were there but that was not an option.

This place is beyond beautiful. It's peaceful, comfortable and full of history. The owners are very involved in your stay making sure you have everything you need. Breakfast was phenomenal and enjoyable. We've been coming here since 2010 and it's fabulous. We will continue to come back and refer others as well.
