We liked the location being on the water and on the main strip through town.

We didn't like the "fitness center" We didn't feel 2 pieces of equipment fit the description well. We would have enjoyed the pool but it was overrun by children and screeching loud adolescents. I love kids but not when they are not supervised. Honestly the parents peeping in the windows and doors did nothing. It would be nice for the last hour to be for adults. Being open til 11 was nice but we couldn't enjoy it. The price for the room because it was July was highway robbery! We stayed at another Tawas resort in May and the going rate was about half what we paid the last 2 nights...

great location, mostly friendly service, but the lady who checked us in was very blunt bordering on rude. Limited menu at the restaurant and pretty pricey. Only ate there once for breakfast and once at the bar for dinner. Cost was too high for the amount of food.

first cleaning of the room was almost non-existent, failed to empty trash, make the bed and vacuum, only picked up dirty towels and left a few clean ones. See above re: restaurant

I felt this hotel was very nice. Great location to the downtown area with several restaurants and shops all in walking distance. Village chocolate excellent candy and Coffee! Located right on the beach several lounges available, very comfortable and relaxing space. I was visiting a friend and was there to do some hiking which did not disappoint. Lots of hiking areas and parks to enjoy.

My room was very clean and comfortable. The hallway carpet could use a cleaning, I realize it's a high traffic area but I wish it was a little cleaner.

Did not eat there. Location was nice and we could walk to eat at Barnacle Bill's. Beach was pleasant.

Outdoor cushions had not had protective covers put on, therefore we got damp as we sat outdoors reading. We had booked 2 nights, but on morning 2, our door cards did not work until we took them to the front desk. The clerk seemed unaware we'd booked 2 nights, and made no apology.

Love the beach , the food and drinks here are all great. The location is close to everything in town . Staff was nice.

My TV did not work in the room and no one could fix it. We asked for a broom or vacuum because I have kids and someone spilled their chips and they said no. Their were ants in the room and I would’ve vacuumed them up. Not a lot of help regarding room service stuff.

foods not that great at the restaurant for the price, rooms and furniture were dated, carpet old from when they allowed smoking. noisy neighbors! Most are there to party or have out of control kids, which is fine but after 11 pm it should be quiet and it’s not!

The beds were super comfortable and room was very clean. Staff was helpful when I needed more coffee. Location was great, right on the water and across from downtown.

The breakfast at the restaurant was not great, and there weren't a lot of options on the menu. We were given vouchers for $3 off but that basically paid for our coffee. We went somewhere else the second morning. Also the first night we could hear our neighbors laughing and talking through the wall and the connecting doors. Either they were super loud or the walls are too thin.

The pool area was perfect. Exactly what the kids and adults needed for a little winter getaway. We had a lakeview room and the view was amazing. View from pool area is beautiful as well. Rooms were clean and comfortable. If you stay make sure to check out Tawas Point State Park as well. Views there are gorgeous year round and it's a quick drive from Tawas Bay Resort.

We had breakfast at the on site restaurant. The food was good, the staff were exceptional. So friendly and right on the ball with coffee and water.

we weren't able to charge our meal to our room. which wasn't that bad, but it would have been way more convienient. all on one bill, all on one credit card.

We loved being right on the beach and the beds were very comfortable.

The room was a little dated with some water spots on the ceiling, cracked tiles in the bathroom and curtains that didn't fully close. A very important note is the hotel has a second floor and NO Elevators!!! Very difficult to carry everything upstairs if you have physical limitations!!!
