Great property! Beautiful historic hotel, in an excellent location. I’m not sure why the other reviews say “close to downtown“, I would definitely say it’s right in downtown. Probably the best location you’ll get in Marquette. Staff is super friendly and helpful, just everything about this property is great. By the way, The rooms have a fridge and a microwave. I’m not sure why I couldn’t find that info in the posting but there are those things in the rooms. Mine had it at least. Overall I highly recommend staying here!

I loved this hotel but I enjoy historical landmarks. The room had ample space and the bed was comfortable. The view we had was amazing- the old ore dock and the big lake; it doesn't get much better. The staff was friendly and check in was fluid. Our waitress in the top floor bar was the best! I asked for a drink that tasted like a chocolate covered cherry and she worked until she got it!! I would highly recommend this hotel for all the reasons travelers look for excellence.

I cannot think of anything I did not like about this hotel.

Convenient location to downtown Marquette. Parking was easy.

Our floor looked like it was undergoing construction. Primer on the elevator doors, tape on the walls from where they had been painting ceilings. There was a hole in our wall from where the door handle had punched through the drywall by a previous guest or staff member.

It’s a gorgeous hotel. The locations is great for walking the city. Off street parking is always appreciated. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.

The price was exceptionally high. Having an outdoor courtyard would have been great. The elevators malfunctioned and we could hear the alarms from both so we took the stairs to be safe.

Clean, comfortable, updated rooms in a historic hotel setting near Lake Superior. Convenient walking-distance location to downtown shopping, area attractions, and excellent local eateries (including the ones on property). Very much enjoyed our Great Lakes vacation!

Nothing really

Historic building, with a fun bar on the top floor with great views of the lake. Or room also had a nice view. It was a good size and nicely furnished. The bathroom was also very nice, The restaurant/bar on the first floor was good. We didn't go out into the neighborhood to find out more. Just passing through.

Manager(Marlee) and staff(Allison) did a great job of handling a mixup in our reservation. They went beyond our expectations to ensure we had a comfortable stay. We can’t say enough about their attitude and effort.

An excellent old school property: Classic architecture and furnishings. Great professional staff. We had a plumbing problem, one phone call to the desk = problem solved! Anyone can work well when all is going right, only the best preform when there are problems to be solved, and the Landmark staff did exactly that!

We didn't have breakfast at this hotel, but the room was big and comfy. Staff were very nice. Restaurant at the hotel was quite good.

Larger tables beside the bed and in front of the TV.

The atmosphere was great - bar & lounge were nice, food & cocktails were good; great location.

Spiderwebs / spiders in window (inside and outside); would have been nice to have a mini-fridge.
