The breakfast was phenomenal. The staff were super. We traveled from northern Michigan to Florida to California back to northern Michigan in three months. We went through 17 states, and stayed in numerous hotels. The Quality Inn / Econo Lodge in Brainerd Minnesota was by far the best experience of our journey. If only staff at all hotels could be as dedicated, helpful, and courteous as they were in Brainerd. If only these staff members could be cloned.

Good breakfast offering

Someone near me was cleaning equipment until after 11:00 pm. I was told there were a number of contractors staying there and it was probably them. The desk person said in the future, they would tell these folks to do their equipment cleaning earlier. That would be nice!

The website said no pool and there was. I would have brought my swim suit, as I could have used a good soak after a day of moving. Heat didn't work in my assigned room, was moved to another. The gal did try to get the heater moving and offered to take my bags for me.

1. I liked the out side door to the room. However, it should be fixed to enter with a room card, 2. The grab and go breakfast was better than nothing at all.

1. The bed was to stiff for my bad back. 2. I walk with a cane so walking to the breakfast was out of the question, I was in a room far away. 3. It is sad that the restaurant next to the hotel was closed. 4. Also the hall door that was supposed to be coded for secure entry did not seem to be active when I stayed there.

The room was big, there were free breakfast, the room had microwave and refrigerator.

The cleaning can be better and there was no vent in the bathroom.

Very helpful hostess. Could offer cereal. Monday morning the front desk person went into the locked breakfast area and got us OJ and muffins even though breakfast was not served that day. Great customer service!

Could tell the motel was old. Could use some upgrades. Had to change out my own trash. No room service over 3 days.

The staff was very friendly and always there if you needed anything and the location was perfect for what we went there for

That there wasn't a pool and a lot of the rooms still needed updated

I was upgraded to Quality Inn and the room was very nice and bed was very comfortable.

Fridge didn't work but they did replace it

I liked the hard floors in the room instead of carpet - it seems cleaner. The room was quiet. The bed was comfortable.

I wish they had a full breakfast instead of grab and go
