The facilities were great for what we needed and would look again if we came with our family in one of the larger cabins. The front desk was friendly and helpful and getting firewood and smores kit was great.

The area and surrounding areas are limited with restaurants. Everything shuts down by 7 or 8 pm. There was no microwave in the room, so we couldn't even warm up any food. We tried to eat at the restaurant, but even though it was NOT busy, they kept telling us to come back. The finally seated us at 7:30 and we waiting for 15 minutes to come back (knowing they close at 8) and they never did, so we left. The food service staff seemed ill equipped to handle more than 3 tables at a time. They kept saying "they didn't have a bartender, so we couldn't even grab a drink and sit outside.

The pool, sauna, and jacuzzi were very clean. We even saw someone balancing the chemicals early before the pool opened.

At check-in, no one told us we needed a reservation for the restaurant and they were very short staffed. So when we arrived there were a few large groups and we were able to get a reservation right before close. We were hungry but mostly just felt like we were burdening them by eating there. I wouldn’t have eaten at the restaurant if we had another choice. The food was good but I didn’t want to add more work for an already overworked staff. Very expensive dinner too for a couple of sandwiches. I get they can up their prices because there’s nothing else nearby.

We loved James and the rest of the front desk. They were pleasant to visit with and great resources. Terri the bartender in the lounge was wonderful for breakfast. We didn't eat as we were out to explore other options for upcoming visits that we were planning but heard that the bloody mary was a must. I would say that it really was the servers and Terri that were a must. It is the people that work there and in the community that we want to come back for.

Venue Coordination which has nothing to do with the actual resort stay and people.

Good breakfast options, friendly staff and very clean room & bathroom, comfortable bed. Good parking easy access to main road and excellent view of the lake at the Grill while enjoying a meal. Grateful to the staff for providing us with hot beverages to take on our walks along the beachfront.

The prices seem higher than our last visit. When I booked our reservation the pictures included a living--room, fireplace a spa tub. and a double-glass sliding door to view the lake - which is not what we got - we got what I would call a studio- bedroom & bathroom.

Staff were excellent. There’s fire pits scattered about and various ways to step off closer to the waterline. The Grill (on-site restaurant) was good. Grounds are beautifully maintained!

Stayed in a lodge room one night and a cabin room one night. The only reasons not giving an overall excellent rating is (1) the cabin had only 2 pillows, (2)TV reception was analog/poor reception, & (3) perhaps a tad less clean than it should have been. Also when booking was not aware there was no air conditioning in the cabin - although turned out pleasantly surprisingly wonderful with windows opened!

The room was clean, and had a comfortable bed. The grounds were kept up. The buildings were appealing.

The water pipes banged a lot when we were trying to sleep. We did report it, so hopefully it will be fixed. The lighting in the bathroom could have been brighter. Even though the room was spacious, the wall side of the bed was very narrow and hard to get in and out of bed.

Breakfast was very good.

I got up very early to go use jacuzzi, but was was not working. The staff member was trying to fix it but he had no luck. I waited an hour and did not get to use facility. I was very disappointed and frustrated. My knees had been hurting and I thought it would help. The night before the jacuzzi was full and I did not get to use it.

The Dinner we had there was delicious. The view from our room was great....awesome view of Lake Superior. It romantic, with the fireplace. The people at the front desk, and in the dinner area was pleasant, and down to earth to talk with.

There was no remote for the TV....had to call down to the front desk to have one brought up. So if this was the only thing that was wrong, they did a fantastice job.

We loved the location -- the view of the lake was lovely, and the pool, sauna and hot tub were so nice. James was excellent at his job and helped us get all settled. He was so friendly and welcoming! He made our stay a great experience!

We had dinner there and the food was ok, but it was really really salty. We had the wild rice soup and asparagus. They both had the potential to be really good, they were just really salty. We had to drink lots of water due to the saltiness of the food.

Relaxing, not to far to go. There is plenty to see and do up the north shore. I like that you have games for people to play and a fireplace to relax by. We enjoyed a very nice dinner on the deck Sunday evening and a great breakfast inside Monday morning. The food was great and the service was outstanding. .

There really isn't anything to complain about. We noticed they were doing some improvements on the property when we were leaving.
