Breakfast: I did not have breakfast, but my partner did and he liked it. Hotel: We both appreciated the history of the hotel. I like older hotels with a history, it interests me. Front desk staff: Although we did not get the young man's name, he was delightful! We had a lovely conversation about cats! That was the reason why we came to be in Walker - to adopt a kitty! Restaurant: We had a yummy meal at the restaurant! Stellar view! We were seated by the window. Our server was awesome! The only issue was the space could have been warmer. For me it bordered on cold to when we left I was freezing. Overall I would say that I wish we could have stayed longer; so we could have enjoyed more of the hotel and your lovely town and spectacular lake.

I know the hotel is older, so some things are 'complicated'. The bathtub had a very high edge that I needed to get over to get in and out of the bathtub. I am older and my height is on the short side. There was not any grab-bar(s) for me to feel secure when getting in and out of tub. The bottom of tub was also slippery when wet. I was worried about getting out safely. One of those rubber mats would have been helpful. Also in bathroom, the overhead exhaust vent was very dusty, like it had not been attended to in a very long time.

The breakfast food was cold and not replenished when we arrived at 8am. Ham and sausage were lk cardboard-dry, cold, inedible. A pile of grapes on the table you had to pick off the vine yourself along with all the other diners-gross. Just not managed well at all. The coffee was very good.

Breakfast food should have been hot and replenished in a more timely manner. The fruit should have been prepared so that utensils could be used to access it, not everyone's bare hands. The 502 restaurant for dinner was good, but served cold and took over an hour and a half to get. It was not busy at the time we visited. We had to ask the floor manager to find our server to get the bill so we could leave. I saw other seated diners recommend incoming guests leave and not waste their time! They too must have had a similar experience that we had just had.

The Chase is a beautiful hotel on an amazing lake in a great town.

Having stayed there several times, it is now under new ownership who are (somewhat understandably) getting back to basics in terms of perks and amenities, before figuring out what a more defined experience will be for guests. (This is how it was explained to me in a casual conversation with one of the managers). It feels maybe a little too stripped back. No live entertainment in the bar, a padlock on the sauna, the gym is kind of dirty and starting to feel out of date, mismatched cushions on the couch in my two bedroom suite, not enough or the right utensils in the kitchen. Specifically no spatula.

The restaraunt made very tasty and reasonably priced items. The view from the patio of the lake and docks were fun. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful in our visit planning. The recommendation of a Walker loop route to bike was a fantastic help. No traffic noise because it is off the main street and no late or fast traffic.

The price was a little more than what I expected for the room.

All staff were super nice and friendly. Facilities people, especially and manager were great. Has an issue with a bed and they fixed it perfectly.

Pool area needed cleaning and mopping. Everything else was great. Really sweet employees. Thank you.

Beautiful historic hotel on the most gorgeous lake and great shopping and dining in this amazing town. Try the Swedish meatballs at the Chase.

No daily maid service. Had to request a cleaning during our 9 day stay.

It’s scenic, well restored, gives you the “dirty dancing” 1950’s feel with all the modern updates.

The price is ridiculous for two beds and a shower. You get no maid service for an overnight stay, no fresh linens, no refills on the comp coffee, which is all you get as there is no breakfast, not even a mint. Don’t get me wrong, I get the times, completely understand that it’s a resort area, BUT for 600.00… well I have a few expectations.

My wife and I are seniors and move slowly......It was an extremely long walk for us to get to our Lakeview Room......

Staff was very helpful and nice. Sitting on the deck enjoying drinks was very nice. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Breakfast buffet was terrible. Everything was cold and the price was way too much.

Our lakeside condo was very spacious with an outstanding view of the lake. Each bedroom had its own bath, while condo had a full kitchen, dining room, living room, screened-in porch and deck with two outside tables and chairs. In unit washer and dryer with Tide and Bounce provided. Lots of closets, for storage as well as storage in kitchen and baths. Enough room to comfortably house two couples or a small family for an extended stay.

No elevator to second story condo! Kitchen was sparsely equipped (well worn pots/pans & mismatched dishes, no mixing bowl, few utensils), many lightbulbs were burned out and not replaced, had to clean up hairs in bathtub, in bathroom drawers and on bathroom floors. Kitchen sinks were not scoured well, nor was kitchen floor very clean. Cleanliness is important, especially during this pandemic!
