We love the location! It’s in the middle of a lot of things! Plus the pool is always great and clean! The ladies that checked us in we’re fabulous and very informative! They even upgraded our room for free! The same with the bartender the 2nd night at the tiki bar! We got lost in talking and brought our food right to us because we didn’t hear the pager! She was fabulous and so friendly.

The Rooftop could use some love! When we went, it wasn’t very clean from the night before. Broken bottles, broken umbrellas, and dirty tables. Same with the waterfall on the inside. Was very sad it wasn’t working. Also pretty to see.

I loved the overall ambiance and numerous amenities at “The Lodge”. The pool options were great and the rooftop was fun! Breezes restaurant was spot on for breakfast or lunch and Fire and Ice poolside bar had yummy cocktails and spicy street tacos. Our room was clean and cozy with a peaceful view of the lake and very private patio. Finally, the lodge is in a great location, easy to access from highway 54 and just a short drive to Bagnell Damn for some solid shopping, boat/kayak/wave runner rental and plenty of night life!

I absolutely hated the constant, loud and annoying 70’s rock that they played in the lobby all restaurants, even HKs and all the pools. HKs which was highly recommended was a huge disappointment. A lot of my disappointment was related to very poor service and the raunchy 70’s music. In all fairness the scallops we had were fabulous and the wine selection solid.

I like that it met the needs for my family. We all needed a mental break. It was relaxing sitting out on the patio of our room, relaxing at the pool and the kids are normally hard to please. We had no complaints.

I did not like the distance to walk to our room and to the main conference center. My husband can not walk very far. But we drove our car up to the conference center and found that we could park on the backside of room if there was available space

It was a clean hotel and staff was excellent. My room was nice but my partial lake view was over the airconditioning units so not a great room. The hotel is a throw back to the 60s and I thought that was cool. Enjoyed the spa expensive, but excellent experience. The pool was nice but the pool bar should have stayed ooen till 10.

We loved the heated pool and the late hour that it was open! The room was beautiful and clean. The views were wonderful! The staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home!

The only issue we had was that the shower had a high pitched whistling sound that was pretty loud. We checked in later in the night so I hope it didn’t wake anybody up!

The grounds and hotel are beautiful.The bed was comfortable, the view was nice. People at the front desk were able to check us in early. The pool was great!

A dirty washcloth left hanging on the shower rod from a previous guest, hair in the tub and sink, the bathroom floor needs a deep cleaning. The grout is gross.

Loved the warm inside pool. Liked being able to charge purchases to room. Loved the zen garden

Lodge is old and needs many repairs. Some deck wood is rotten, pool steps are cracked and sharp, hotel bathrooms are showing their age. Waterfall inside main lodge was down for repair. That being said, we still enjoyed our stay..

The location was excellent for getting around to restaurants and activities. Everything was nicely spaced and not too crowded. The Japanese gardens were a delightful surprise. The pools were just the right size. It was nice having pools that were for adults. The big pool with the bar was unmanageable because of kids and all. HK restaurant was delicious. Also Breezes! The bar off the lobby was not so great. Didn’t know how to make an Old Fashioned! Not a great beginning when we had just arrived. Where we stayed did not have a refrigerator or microwave. That would have been nice to have.

We were told fireworks would be at 8:30. Was at 8:15 and missed most of it. 10 minutes and done. Across the lake was longer.

The staff are friendly, interested, informative, and understanding. The amenities are beautifully one of a kind. The view and location are truly exceptional. When considering the quality, activity access, and on the lake location, the pricing surprised us.

A water and ice machine on the bottom floor next to a vending machine had a huge puddle of water underneath it. I couldn't seem to locate a self-serve free breakfast bar (most hotels that charge less include a complimentary breakfast). There weren't water bottles in the rooms so we had to get dressed and go out into the hall for a drink.

the only 2 things I didn’t like were the door key are from the 1920’s and would get de-magnetized. it was a battle every time we tried to open our door. The last thing were the shower heads also from 1920’s when the average height of man was 4’4. As 6’1 I couldn’t even bend over to get hair wet, I literally had to crouch which makes for a horrible shower.
