It was like a Time Machine. Marilyn everywhere & the SHOWER HEAD was the absolute BEST I’ve ever stayed at any hotel. They have a separate section for the furry friends and def cater to them & that reflects in the stay. Best place to stay in ELY period. A bit more spendy, but worth it. We enjoyed our stay with Baby & 2 Cats.

Everything closes early. I also didn’t like that the gift shop opened at 4 pm because I really wanted to buy crystals but couldn’t. I also wish the machines weren’t so tight in December, but that’s typical at any casino in this month.

We got a flat tire while traveling home from Sat Lake. I stopped for gas and asked the station employees where a mom and 3 teen aged daughters could stay overnight. The recommended this hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted immediately, checked right in, given coupons for free adult drinks or bottled water and a 10% off for the coffee shop inside lobby. Once in the room it was inviting and extremely clean. Rooms are quiet and extremely clean. Couldn’t hear the surrounding rooms. If we’re ever in Ely, NV again we’ll be staying here!

Our stay was perfect!

The room was clean, beds were comfortable, with all the amenities. Laundry facilities on site. Caught up on laundry. But sometimes it’s the small things that make it great. Shower head. Hot water immediately and strong flow. It was awesome! Restaurant was good. One of the best Chile Rellenos I had. Beans too. Enjoyed looking at the hotels eclectic style. Even outside at night was bright with color. Plenty to look at. Wish I had taken some more pictures. Friendly staff. Everyone was nice If I ever go back I will stay there. Only wish gift shop was open.

The pet rooms are exceptional, best I've ever seen in many years of traveling around the U.S. and the world. Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable and the restaurant was decent. I've been through Ely many times before and am sad that I haven't stayed here previously, but I definitely will be next time!

They do a really fantastic job all around, so I don't have much to complain about. The restaurant was decent, not the best, but about what you would expect to be found inside of a Casino-Hotel.

The room was very comfortable. Especially appreciate the refrigerator when we are traveling. Best of all is the Mexican restaurant at the Prospector. We had a great dinner and breakfast there. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Always a treat to find this combination of a nice hotel and good restaurant when we are traveling long distances.

This hotel and restaurant met all of our expectations. The front desk and restaurant servers were terrific. They were so friendly and attentive to our needs.

What a fun and funky little hotel. I am so glad we discovered this gem while visiting nearby Great Basin National Park! The room was large and had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We also loved the on site Mexican restaurant and the gift shop and coffee shop were really great too! All the staff were very friendly and we had a wonderful stay.

Nothing at all

This our 4th or 5th time we have stayed here and we love this hotel. We got our card punched this time and our next stay is free! Our first time was in 2016 and they consistently provide a great stay. We love the dog wing and exterior dog area. The welcome drink, popcorn and new addition off the coffee shop. The shower has been renovated and the water pressure is amazing and the rubber duck is still there. There is a Mexican restaurant on site and the bar has giant TV's for sports.

The positives of this hotel outweigh this for us but if cigarette smoke is a deal breaker for you, you might want to pass on this hotel.

Everything was so clean and comfortable. It was a nice touch to have earplugs available. The rubber duckie was adorable. I really appreciated that they were able to accommodate me having a handicapped room on the first floor. The staff was knowledable and super friendly. Oh, I also appreciated how there were phone chargers built into the bed's headboard - super!

I coulen't figure out how to turn on the desk light. The pillows were way too soft, so I put a pillow case on the throw pillow, which was perfect. Also, the food in the restaurant was dissappointing.. The steak for dinner was mostly fat and the breakfast omlet wasn't made the way I requested. But, the staff was amazing and the decore was really fun.

Wonderful on-site restaurant and the room was very clean. Staff is wonderful...I forgot my CPAP machine in the room when I checked out and they were so helpful in contacting me and shipping the machine back home so that I didn't have to drive 2 hours to retrieve it!

The only improvement that I can see is that they need an elevator...stairs were tough on my old knees!

They have so many goodies at check in, such as free drinks, free gifts at the gift shop, and rubber duckies for BOTH my kids, which was adorable. Such a neat place. Staff was super friendly and the room was clean and had everything you could possibly need inside. Oh! And the pool was amazing!

The only thing I could remotely dislike is that there wasn't an elevator. I'm assuming because it's an older building. Just be prepared to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs. My husband was there so it was no bug deal, but if I were alone with my kids, our humongous suitcase would have been difficult.
