Jack Dempsey's was closed because of a "leak". But serving menu in the bar. Had salads and split a Mizpah burger. Cocktails were great, burger was fantastic. The bartender, waitress and all around wonderful customer service person all by herself did everything!! Angie was absolutely topnotch as far as customer service. It was very busy in there with the restaurant closed and she was fabulous! She deserves every penny she makes and then some!

Breakfast was served in togo boxes with disposable flatware. Kind of tacky, not that busy, could have used real dishes...and washed dishes as they're used. At least real use flatware...

I love the history and the environment. You can tell your in a building with authentic furniture and looks. The balcanies are neat to look at , but doens't look like you could actually go outside, even though the window can open. Right next door is a casino which is one of the best in town! Hooked on to that is A&W for fast food, and they have 2 restraunts inside the Mizpah for breakfast and seperate one for lunch and dinner. Good Food, Great Place all around and all for a decent cost!

The rooms could have been a little bit bigger, but for the time it was built, it's fitting. It would have been nice to have longer hours for the restruants to be open. For the casino, I would have liked to see a couple tables open for card playing(Black Jack, Poker etc.) and a Roulette Machine with the real ball that is played.

Our room on the second floor was comfortable and spacious. The night we stayed, dinner was served at the bar, with a more limited menu than the Jack Dempsey Room (sorry to miss it). However, the steak was excellent. Breakfast was also on a more limited menu and served in to-go containers, but it was quite ample with very nice Lavazza coffee. Overall, the Mizpah is a lovely restored splendor of the Golden Age, when silver rules Nevada. The mines are still there behind the hotel.

Night table only on one side (door too close to bed). Very minor.

The lady at the front desk was really really great. She tried so hard to help me get my Wi-Fi going. She never got upset even though the place was busy. Also, I would like to recommend the bartender that was there that night. Again, very friendly very professional Just went above and beyond to make our stay great

The problem was trying to get into the Wi-Fi. The bartender and the receptionist did their best to help, but it is impossible to read. This is such an easy fix. Just change the color of the font and it will save everybody all kinds of problems.

This place was great. Super unique historic hotel with a bit of a weird vibe. Convenient location right downtown close to restaurants and amenities. Onsite bar was open during my stay and food was good. Pet friendly.

It is known to be a haunted hotel which was understood before booking but I didn't know they do nightly ghost tours until after I arrived and the tour needs to be booked in advance. Would have liked to do the tour as the hotel was super interesting. Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner.

The general appearance and hotel location. An old hotel showing its age. The present owners did what they would with the general structure of the building and attempted to restore it to its glory days of the early 1900s.

Prolonged service, but the actual breakfast was good. I was not pleased with the attitude of my waitress. A couple walked into the dining area, sat down, and ordered. They were eating in no time flat and left before I received my meal. Was it because I was single and not accompanied by a companion, friend, wife, kids, etc?

We’ve stayed here quite a few times passing through in our travels; we love the Victorian style of the hotel and the option to have a cocktail and a meal within the hotel. The rooms are good size, nice large TV and the coffee Keurig in the room is a perk. Room floors are fairly quiet. Generally, the staff strives to be accommodating. I also really enjoy the Cline vineyard wine, which I discovered several years back on a trip to the wine country.

The breakfast this time around was horrible. I ordered the eggs Benedict; the egg whites were under cooked and the Hollandaise sauce was thick, chunky, curdled, and the food was semi warm. It clearly looked unappetizing and don’t know what it was served to me at all. I didn’t send it back as I had to get on the road; I scraped off all the sauce and ate some of the egg yoke and muffin. Considering the meal prices have gone up significantly, I would have appreciated a hot enjoyable meal. The evening before we had dinner in the main dining room and it was very good. On another note…the desk manager (I’m assuming) was scolding a staff worker at the front desk, which was uncomfortable and could have been done behind closed doors.

-location -history -renovations of historic hotel were beautiful -paved parking -comfortable

--restaurant was touted as 'fine dining'. It was an average Cafe, mostly burgers on the menu -room was small and quite dark, saw other rooms with much more space and windows which were similar in furnishings but definitely more room for 2 people (sometimes get an inferior room when we book on booking.com) - staff were efficient and professional but could have cracked a smile.

The bed was very comfortable -- the mattress was excellent, lots of pillows. The TV was a flat screen, the furnishings were neo-Victorian or the real deal & it had a modern elevator. The hotel serves up a great breakfast & the Mitpah is square in the center of town. Finally, the air system was first-class & kept my ragweed allergies away.

The mud mat just inside the main entrance was buckled & presented a trip hazard -- they should definitely fix that. It would be nice if they could re-gravel or pave their parking lot. The sole chair in my room smelled of pee (the Mitpah is pet-friendly) despite an application of cleaning product -- I stayed in the Jack Dempsey room.

Great room, great location, very clean and well maintained.

On the 17 th of January my credit card was charged for the room. And again yesterday my credit card was charged. I called the hotel, but according to them, they did not charge my credit card because I already paid for the room. I sent an email to the manager and will try to call them tomorrow. We have stayed there before and it is the first time that that happened.
