-location -history -renovations of historic hotel were beautiful -paved parking -comfortable

--restaurant was touted as 'fine dining'. It was an average Cafe, mostly burgers on the menu -room was small and quite dark, saw other rooms with much more space and windows which were similar in furnishings but definitely more room for 2 people (sometimes get an inferior room when we book on booking.com) - staff were efficient and professional but could have cracked a smile.

It's a very cool old Hotel with lots of charm and character. Had dinner there and it was excellent. The only thing that was an issue was the wind howled all night and made a lot of noise blowing through the structure of the fire escape. Not much the Hotel can do about this. So if you happen to be staying there on a windy night, try to get your room on the lee side of the building. It was a fun and interesting place to spend the night.

Water pressure was somewhat questionable. But when you are in a building that's over 100 years old you have to expect some issues with plumbing.

The Hotel is a flashback back to 1907. The Mizpah was the tallest building west of the Mississippi River when it was built in 1907. The owners of the Mizpah Hotel did a great job of restoring this grand Hotel. The Bar is spectacular. The Bartender was friendly and knowledgeable about the town. The Casino is right next door, and they serve free drinks every half hour. The restaurant has delicious food and a friendly staff. This hotel is listed as haunted and featured with the Clown Motel on YouTube. My 9-year-old Granddaughter Mentioned she has seen the town featured there. The Hotel even have ghost detectors that the Children can use to detect ghosts with. Great place to stay on the Nevada side between Las Vegas and Reno. we took the Extraterrestrial highway (Route 6) to Las Vegas instead of U.S. Route 95. Longer time but great scenery. The room is a little small but that's the size they were in 1907. Breakfast and dinner were excellent at the hotel restaurants.

We didn't like the satellite dish television provided by the hotel. when you check park at the steps into the hotel. leave your bags in the car. after you check in drive to the back of the property and use the doors by the bar to roll your luggage into the hotel otherwise you will have to drag your luggage up three series of stairs.

This hotel is an experience, as is Tonopah. Buildings are restored with an eye to the varied history of this former mining town. The staff plays a great role in the success of our stay. Friendly, attentive and efficient.

this place is definitely haunted. I didn’t sleep well, not because the bed was uncomfortable. But while I was awake the howling wind was not the only sound in the room. It was AWESOME (I love a good ghost story tho).

I didn’t like “the casino” in the bar. so crass. but I get it. it’s revenue.

This historic hotel is wonderful (and romantic) get-away. We also compared it to the newly reopened historic hotel across the street - and the Mizpah is a far better hotel (especially with it's fantastic lobby. The other hotel only had a coffee and muffin (starbucks style) coffee area - not an actual restaurant with breakfast, lunch, and dinner like the Mizpah has. Someday we hope that the Mizpah is able to reopen their formal dining room as well, although the food in the current restaurant is just fine, and reasonably priced.

The ghosts did not come out and play - but we were only there for one night.

Our second stay at the Mizpah, same room on a different floor so no surprises. Likes: the decor, staff, HVAC worked great, in room coffee service, parking, lobby/bar

did not have any paranormal experiences like the last time.

The history of the hotel. The old/ antique feel of the place. It's not for everyone but I loved it. Coming from Manhattan it's entering another world/time period, perfect. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Minor complaint, we ate in their fine dining room " Dempsey Room ". No music and it was uncomfortably quiet , conversations easily overhead. Just play some period music or lite classical/jazz would help atmosphere tremendously.
