The bed and bedding were very comfortable, the view the room was a mowed field, brush and a tree line. Lovely and quiet. I lived in East Brunswick for decades and would not stay at any East Brunswick facilities. The New Brunswick hotels are all fancier larger properties. The Rutgers Inn was “ just right “. At checkin I was asked to initial a three night stay. I explained to the gentleman, my dog was having emergency surgery that day, and depending on recovery, I might need to leave a day early if he was discharged. He said “ no problem,” but at check out I was charged for the unused night. I have addressed this with the property directly, and hope for a favorable reply. All the staff were helpful and pleasant. I look forward to using it again. I was married at Kirkpatrick Chapel. and my husband was a graduate of Cook College. Many happy memories!

The location is absolutely beautiful, I even saw a family of deer one evening! The room was ok, but pretty basic. It made sense, as it used to be university halls.
No breakfast! There are no easy options for breakfast nearby, so it would be very worthy to provide a breakfast option at the Inn! The heater/air con was automatic, and it was an unuasually few hot days, so it was it was set to heat up when it was actually very hot already!

We were there to help move our daughter into her dorm at Rutgers University. The room that we were given was excellent for view, space and cleanliness. The staff was excellent. They provided us with extra towels and pillows even though the facility was full we had no problem with service. One thing that we truly liked was that they cleaned the room every day and we never had to call because they forgot to do or leave something. That is a great staff. Their front desk staff is EXCELLENT! Always very pleasant and helpful.
We Really have no complaint, and they are doing everything right because all the staff we encountered were excellent. Their management have to represent what the employees are like. Kudos to them.

The room I had here was honestly cleaner than most hotel rooms I've had in the past couple years. Everything's laid out nicely and though the room was a bit warm when we entered, it was very easy to get to the temperature we liked. Check in was a breeze and there was ample space for our luggage in the room. Plenty of outlets in the room as well and having extra linens available in the room was very helpful. We ended up returning to our room late in the night and I was dreading finding a parking spot, but even the further parking is still pretty close! They also offer luggage carts, which I saw other guests use when checking in. Our room was on the first floor but their elevators appeared functional. Beds are firm but still very comfortable, I didn't have much trouble getting to sleep at all.
Be warned, the toilets (or at least ours did) flush super loud and hard. On the bright side, this means you'd probably have a hard time clogging it!

Pleasant, clean and nice place to stay. Good location for nearby Rutgers activities. As an alumni, The Rutgers decor was enjoyable.
The lack of decent coffee nearby. There was a coffee maker in the room, and a Keurig with “for purchase” pods in the lobby, but it would have been nice to have better options within walking distance.

The place has its years, but it is still comfortable. Rooms are of a good size. Ours had 2 double beds, with good mattresses, pillows and linen. There is a minifridge, microwave and coffee machine. The hotel is in a quiet, secluded area, next to one of Rutgers's campuses, but only a 5 min. drive to downtown New Brunswick.
A/C unit was a bit loud, you may have to give it a few gentle knocks so it doesn't vibrate.

You can observe deers on the backyard. Very helpful staff ready to help you with your requests. There is a dining hall nearby (students are the most frequent visitors) where you can have breakfast and lunch with the variety of food for a reasonable price (vegetarian options). In a walking distance to the city, also you can use a free (?!) shuttle bus. You get a free entrance to the university swimming pool and gym
For two separate beds the room is too small

This was a great place to stop on our trip from New England to the Maryland shore. We enjoyed the proximity to so many good eateries downtown. The room was comfortable, and the pastoral view out the window was one of the best we've had.
The bathroom was tight, without much horizontal space to set down toiletries. It's a pretty minor disadvantage in an otherwise very good accommodation.

Location. Value-for-money. Good supportive staff (and student workers)
Inability to resolve issues with duplicate booking. Not acknowledging emails sent earlier that clearly indicated that the bookings were duplicated and one should be canceled. Booking.com being the bigger culprit. A small cafe/breakfast option would have been perfect.

We had an emergency situation that the staff handled extremely well. The room was simply furnished but clean. The room was cleaned after the first night of our two day visit, unusual for many hotels following COVID.
There was no grab bar in the shower, a real safety hazard. The tap water in the bathroom tasted like wet leaves. The air conditioner temperature was hard to adjust.
