It was an amazing experience overall, we moved from California to Texas and we were so tired we decided we needed to stop at the next nearest Town and that happened to be lordsburg. In the chaos of moving with a toddler and pregnant wife I lost the key to the back of the moving truck which had all of our travel items it was very late at night and no stores were open in this very small town. I went out on a limb and asked the office if they would happen to have any bolt cutters. They gave me a 3in grinder and I had it off in about 30 seconds, absolutely saved me from a very upset wife who desperately wanted to shower. Onto the rooms portion of the stay they beds were very comfy and not springy at all, the blankets were very cute as well as the sheets and they were very warm. Just a very cozy place. May not look like much from the outside but this place is a diamond in the rough. And the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.

The only thing I wish they had was vending machines and better soap

We read lots of reviews for this area, and decided to check out the place before we booked. We were met by the manager and he encouraged us to book online to get the best price. The room was comfortable and clean. The motel is in the process of being renovated, and our room was nicely done. I loved the flowered sheets, “real” pillows and fluffy towels. It was a great place to stay. The parking lot was well lighted, and one where you pulled right up to the door. We would stay again.

The location has positives and negatives. It is in a run down, semi abandoned part of town, but that made it quieter and made me less worried about vandalism or theft. However, the train tracks are across the street, so the train is loud. I heard it the first time, but the rest of the night I was able to tune it out.

Staff was nice, bed was comfy and a great price.

It was an older facility but has been updated. I'm not one for fancy hotels. After all, I just sleep there and go on my way. It was worth the stop, and I would stay again.

It was so comfortable I over slept, they didn't charge me. They were very kind about it. It was very Clean ,Big Bath towels,big tv , microwave & refrigerator- mico I enjoyed my stay thanks for your kindness and hospitality.

The staff were especially hospitable and accommodating. The bed was very comfortable with good pillows. The shower had instant hot water with great pressure. The entire unit was very clean.

The occasional train noise

Management was excellent. Claudia and her husband made major effort to give us a pleasant stay, and knew the names of the guests. Value was good. We got a Continental breakfast which I wasn't expecting, cereal, OJ, fresh fruit, coffee, tea. The room was quite large, smelled good, was clean, had nice decorating touches, and had all sorts of tables/surfaces we could use with 2 straight back chairs. Very nice shampoo. Mattress was firm. Extra pillows. Got a great night's sleep. Good WiFi connection. Good heater, easy to keep room at comfortable temperature. Soft water. We were given a choice of beverage and snack on check-in. Motel so able to park right in front of the room. Fridge, microwave.

Location next to busy railroad tracks, but the sound did not keep us awake. Not very many outlets, inconvenient to charge devices. Shower nozzle was hard spray.

Convenient location. Affordable prices, friendly staff. Great water pressure!

Just like everything in Lordsburg it’s a bit rundown, but it was a comfortable room and a great value!

The bathroom door wouldn’t latch so there was no privacy while using the bathroom

Don't let the first impression of this motel stop you from staying here at the Holiday Motel in Lordsburg. At first glance from the street it does appear to be a little bit run down and there is an abandoned indoor swimming pool building and abandoned playground out front. If you can get past these few things on the outside, indoors the rooms are actually quite nice. They appear to have been recently remodeled, are spacious, clean and come complete with a modern flat screen TV, small refrigerator and microwave. The air conditioner worked well keeping the room nice and cool all night. The bathroom and shower facilities were clean and in good working order. The bed was comfortable. Check in at the front desk was quick, easy and the office attendant was pleasant. Prices were reasonable too at around $54 total (including tax). My wife and I stayed here for a night in early August 2021 while on vacation in southwestern New Mexico. The night we were there a severe thunderstorm rolled in just after dark with very strong winds and heavy rain. It was good to be inside the safety of the motel instead of outside camping like we had done the previous couple of evenings. I did like the fact that the motel was on the old Highway 80 (Motel Drive) in town and off the busy interstate a bit. It appears to be one of the last surviving motels on the old highway (Motel Drive) before the coming of Interstate 10. The fact that this is a non-chain mom and pop motel, has reasonable room rates, has nice rooms, and is away from the busy interstate would give us reason enough to stay here again the next time we are in Lordsburg.

Railroad tracks were about 300’ away, but the trains seldom disturbed my sleep. Come morning I put on my running shoes and worked out on the rails of the railroad track, using them like infinites balance beams. Very fun, and good for the body and brain!
