very nice, clean room with shower and toilet. the staff were lovely and helpful, they have kept the 19th century charm of the place.

Because it is an older building, sound proofing was not exceptional. Due to the location at the corner of two main roads, traffic noise was noticeable; the noise from other lodgers was also there. However, that same location meant going for a pint or doing some shopping was a short walk away. Breakfast was limited continental. there was fruit, but nothing prepared, keurig coffee and a selection of yogurt, bagels, cereal, packets of oatmeal, danishes and, popcorn. there was a fridge, with cold drinks, including milk, juice and water.

We never found the breakfast because we stayed in the ground floor room with separate entrance. The location was great, next to a bookstore with a friendly owner and a right in the middle of everything happening in downtown Silver City, which was not a lot in the evening except for karaoke at the brew pub on the next corner.

The room was a bit oddly laid out, probably originally a store or office fronting the street. The bathroom door was hard to close. I suspect the other rooms in the hotel might have felt more like old-time hotel rooms.

The place was impeccable! And the service was outstanding. For the whiners in the comments, do not come expecting a brand new hotel. This is a historical facility which charm comes from its quirkiness and old style. It is so comfy and clean, the staff is ridiculously kind and make every effort to make you feel welcome. There are great places for coffee and food a few steps away. Oh, and I had meetings and the wifi worked just fine.

Make sure you get an inside room if you are a light sleeper.

Great location, great breakfast, great decor, great bed!

Room was pretty hot at night. This might be my fault as I didn’t know how to lower the temp on the window AC unit. It was set at 68. There was an open can of dog food left in the room mini fridge, I’m assuming from the previous stay.

Location was excellent. In middle of downtown. Good places to eat. We walked all over the town. Town is on grid with streets. You can’t get lost. Parked car and never got back in it over 3 days. Lots of stores to walk through. History of buildings in town. Think 1880’s. Great small town feeling. Many interesting really old houses and stories

Poor Internet connection, which was being worked on. When it rained the roof leaked and buckets were required to catch the drips. The staff do really well coping with this, and the owner really needs to remedy.

The manager, Robert, was exceptionally professional and customer orientated. Would recommend this location over most all other Hotel/ motels in the Silver City area. Excellent continental breakfast. This Hotel is like a time capsule into the past with its copper ceilings and antique furniture and fixtures. This location was much better than most all bed and breakfasts we have stayed in Silver City area. Covenant free parking on the street and location is very safe.

Owner could make some repairs to the original structure' ceiling in the lobby, but these did not in any way affect the stay or comfort of the hotel.

We were delighted with our street-side suite at The Palace Hotel. The room remained cool, and was very comfortable. We especially liked the sitting area to lounge in when the daytime temperatures got a bit too warm. The bed was very comfortable, and the ceiling fans kept us cool through the night. The location was perfect for exploring Silver City. We were there three nights and did not use our vehicle once, choosing to walk to the college, the library, laundromat, and eateries. The complimentary breakfast was as you would expect; a variety of cereals, fruit, juice, packaged baked goods, and coffee (Maxwell House, which was surprisingly tasty one morning.)

I can't think of anything we didn't like. We highly recommend the Palace Hotel!

Great location in downtown Silver, easy to get everything on the main street (Bullard) and nearby like a great brew pub and the Big Ditch walking trail. Good value and I'm glad I got to stay somewhere historic and in a walkable part of town.

Wifi wasn't working and breakfast options were quite limited.

The manager Lydia was awesome! Some of the best customer service I’ve ever had! She went above and beyond. She gave me a tour. Educated me on the history, and the facility has looked better then it has in year’s!! Looking forward to seeing what she does in long term to this hotel!!’
