The Breakfast room was a little hard to find, but once found it was large and had more than enough tables. For a continental breakfast I would have liked a little more variety, such as Bagels, Croisants, and not just English muffins. also there were no condiments, such as jams or peanut butter. The pancake maker was unique and very good. Also the ceral station was always full with plenty of milk. The coffe was flavourful and always full and hot. The staff was excelent, always making sure the buffet was always full and keeping the table clean

As indicated in the reviews, the hotel is old. But very clean, they cleaned every day for 3 days. We didn't notice any smell. Spacious room and bathroom. There is a hairdryer, iron, and plenty of towels. The appearance of the hotel scared me, but everything went great! The pool and hot tub were excellent, we enjoyed using them. Pool and breakfast across a busy street. you need to be very careful. We would have liked to add eggs and vegetables to breakfast, but we were ready for a not rich breakfast. Great hotel for this price!

Enjoyed the breakfast offering - automatic pancakes, cereal, oatmeal, pastry, milk, orange juice, coffee, tea. Clean and decent room with frig. Location not too far from town. Parking spots great.

Room and lobby area a bit outdated. Reminded me of my college dorms back in the 90s. Front desk didn't specify room cleaning was based on covid precautions and also optional. Therefore we never had cleaning service even when we told the cleaning lady we wanted it done.

Loved that it had a firepit, and that we could use the indoor pool and hot tub from the Rodeway on the other side of the road. Staff were super friendly and really helpful. It was just what we needed for our kind of trip and we would definitely stay again even though it was very basic.

We didn’t know the outdoor pool would be closed before we arrived. The whole place is very dated and a few things needed fixing (bathroom door handle felt very loose and almost like it was about to come off, a couple of the light fixtures didn’t work). Although it was one of the cheapest places in Lake Placid, it still felt a little overpriced for what it was, esp. with outdoor pool being closed when it’s 34c outside.

All the staff were a delightful, I had an issue with the T.V. and instead of telling me what to do, they accompanied me to my room and fixed the problem on the spot. I was there before the season really was in full spring, and some of the facilities were not open. (pool)

I was really disappointed with the water pressure in the shower, the water just trickled out, felt like I still had soap residue in my hair and on my body, also the water temperature was hard to regulate, either burning hot, or on the cold side, no in between. Upon my check out I told the gentleman behind the desk and he said he'd look into it.

Clean and well maintained. Very good value for a low priced hotel. I would recommend this hotel to friends.

Short on pillows only 1 and not very thick. Please give 2 pillows per person. Had to cross the street to have access to real morning coffee and a microwave. Please put a microwave and a morning coffee pot next to ice and vending machine in this hotel.

We have family in Saranac Lake and the location of the Carriage House in Lake Placid was perfect for us! Even though it is an older property, the room was very clean and had everything we needed. The price was also great for the area.

The only thing I really didn't like was the firmness of the bed, but most places do have very firm beds. There could have been a little bit more variety for the continental breakfast. The cinnamon rolls were good, but nothing beats fresh bakery:) It was a little inconvenient to go across the road for breakfast, but not a deal breaker :)

For the price, the room was exactly what we needed. Plenty of room, comfortable for a couple nights to place our head while hiking in the area. Access to the hot tub and pool was an added bonus. Room was clean and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Location outside the main part of town was also a bonus for us. Close but not in the center of everything and relatively quiet when we stayed.

The rooms and furniture are a little dated, but everything was clean and working properly. The only drawback is having to check in across the street, and the pool and hot tub are also located across the street. It’s not even really an inconvenience, but the road can be busy.

the only problem we had was with the refrigerator--very hard to regulate it. Got much too cold and froze some of our food. also dripped water. But we told the reception desk and they said they would make sure it is fixed. We stayed for a few days and did not mention it till we left, so we were able to deal with it.

Nice and helpful lady in reception. Large room, well lit up, clean, including carpet & sheets. Mid size fridge, no microwave. Electric outlets near the beds. Contains a waiting table, dining table with 2 chairs. Fast and steady internet. Thick, clean towels. They cleaned the room every day, including towels changing and toiletries, and vacuuming the catpet
