The staff were helpful and pleasant. We received an upgrade from front desk staff into a suite which was luxurious in terms of space for a manhattan hotel. It was clean and beds were comfortable. Bell hops hold your luggage if you come early or leave late and are friendly. Location was good, especially if you are looking to be near Broadway. Breakfast buffet was generous.

It’s Times Square so expect some noise. The hotel is busy so lobby can be crowded and breakfast was super crowded. That said, the staff work hard and are polite despite the volume of people and the wait times were minimal. The curtains are not black out, so if you are a light sleeper be aware.

We LOVED our stay! For the price , everything was excellent! The rooms were comfortable , the staff was friendly and the location was perfect. The BREAKFAST was amazing. We enjoyed it every morning. And of course the views were pretty great too.

Nothing we didnt like but we were iffy about the “see through” wall of the shower right next to the bed. But we found a way to make it work. And there was a bit of a crowding issue around the area of the elevators in the mornings during breakfast time since the two areas are in close proximity.

The hotel was in a great area right in the heart of Manhattan and the staff was excellent.

When we tried to get to breakfast in the morning we could not get down in the elevators. I have a heart condition and horrible nurothopy due to my diabetes. That was a horrible long painful walk down 15 flights. Please find a better way with the morning breakfast elevator routine.

Beautiful hotel in a great area close to everything. The multiple elevators were the fastest I've ever been on.Free Breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious. Huge area with tons of efficient, friendly staff clearing tables, cleaning and super customer service. I arrived really early thinking I'd have to store luggage but was checked in quickly. Comfortable beds and quiet.

No coffee maker in the room. The room was a little small but still comfortable. I really can't say much more on what not to like.

Breakfast buffet was great, bed was comfortable, view amazing, staff awesome. I could not have been happier! I especially loved what seemed to be a very close relationship between the staff. This property’s strength is the staff!

A throw or extra blanket in the room would have been welcome. We were often chilly, even with the heat at 22C (which should be really warm.) Also, the giant rat protest outside the hotel. I would be more comfortable if I was confident the staff were being treated (and paid) fairly.

Very impressive hotel, great location, lovely staff. Breakfast was very good every day with a selection for everyone’s tastes. The room was really nice with a great view.

I really liked the friendliness of the staff and how they were always very attentive to whatever was requested. Everything was very clean, and the best part is that all the employees spoke Spanish.

I think they should review how crowded breakfast was. I believe it’s because they openly offer the buffet option at a low price to non-hotel guests. I understand they can do this, but they should have an exclusive schedule for hotel guests because, even though it was very good, and the waitstaff were very friendly, you ran into everyone, and the crowd of people around you was overwhelming.

We like the room. We like breakfast.

We came to stay in the hotel for 7 nights after reading good recommendations about the hotel. We asked to be on a high floor as much as possible. When we checked in early in the morning we were given a low floor. We asked the employee at check in to get a higher floor because we knew the noise from the road would be very loud and he claimed there was no other option. We were very disappointed with his attitude. After we returned in the afternoon to get the rooms we were greeted by another employee who easily found us suitable rooms on a higher floor.

The room was amazing. I travelled with my two adult children plus my eldest boyfriend. The bedrooms had each a door from a small corridor which was ideal for is. Times Square is less than 5 minutes walk away

The very long queue at the breakfast buffet and I mean long. Once we knew this is what it’d be, we just came earlier to allow for more time and were less bothered about it.

We liked most things.

There is another Riu Plaza few blocks away. We first went there (by mistake), and had to walk to this hotel with our suitcases. The receptionist said: “it happens all the time”, So why don’t you fix it?! Clarify the situation to the registrants.
